ROM Recomendation - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I have been reading different threads here for about a week and was going to try and flash a new ROM to my Tilt this weekend. I was hoping that someone could recommend a ROM for a beginner. Specifically one known to be stable on the AT&T Tilt... I appreciate the feedback and will be happy to donate to the originator of the ROM file... Looking forward to something new!
I was considering "Dutty's NewBuild Rom N0.6 +NETCF 3.5 AT&T"

This has been discussed a lot, and there are a lots of threads like this.
However, you really should give Q-Mobile 1.11 a try.
It's clean, fast and stable! I tried a lot of ROMs (CUSTEL, Dutty) but IMO this one is just the best.

I have an AT&T Tilt and have been using Dutty New Year Dual Touch V2 with radio 1.27.12.32 for 3 days and like it a lot. If you follow the instuctions correctly it is a snap. I got my tilt on Dec 26 and I found out about flashing on the 2nd and I flashed 3 or 4 other ROMS before sticking with Dutty V2.
If you are thinking about going with one of Dutty's ROMs I would wait a day or so to get V3 (currently in Beta).

WM6 8525 AT&T Release

Has anyone seen the official AT&T WM6 release for the 8525 that was made available this morning? I can't help but wonder if this release could be ported over to the 8125..... Any Ideas?
I haven't seen the release numbers for it, but some of the roms we have now are ports of the leaks of this rom (as I understand it).
Here is the page link:
http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html
I guess what I'm looking for is a ROM based on the official ROM, Then I can decide what to keep and add. I've tried a couple of ROM's (TNT 5.0, XDA6) and even the light versions seem to much and seem to slow down my 8125.. Any suggestions?
Can this "os.nb" extracted from the ROM, be used with the Wizard? It doesn't seem like it because it's huge! 72MB. Either there's a whole lot more to it than the Wizard ROMs that I'm used to or it's filled with an incredible amount of bloat? Is the 8525 that much different?
How do you get the .nbf out of the .exe??

well you won't get a .nbf file out of this exe, but a .nbh file as it's a FW for the 8525 ...
you can use WinZIP for example (2 times ).

I ported this rom this morning. Its an older build but I'm impressed with the speed. After soft reset it has approximately 30~31 mb free with a 6mb page pool. There's no windows live and no onenote mobile but this doesnt bother me in the slightest. I'm keeping this rom for a while.

There's an extended rom and a radio. These two increase the size of the rom.

How about maybe the Radio/GSM will actually work on AT&T unlike any other build other than the loon's 318 which does work.
I would like to see an official build as well. Much more stable in general.
Thanks all! I for one would love to see this rom, This may be the exact rom I've been looking for. Again thanks to all who have responded!

if im not wrong this rom ver is old
This is the link to the HTC website for the 8525:
http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html
I've attached a screen of the ROM ver and date.
It shows:
ROM version 3.62.502.3
ROM date 10/11/07
Radio version 1.54.07.00
Is this old? What versions are in the current ROM's on XDA?
Thanks

The build number is 18128.4.4. Currently the latest build available to wizard users is 18533, so technically speaking the AT&T build is old. That being said, I'm not one of those people who have to have the latest rom, I like my roms quick and stable regardless of how old people might think they are.

Well then for the Sake of Speed and Stability, Please release the ported rom. You have made your own grounds for release.
Thank you in advance.
I'll second that. Unless you're on dial-up, you might as well post.

Peter, if you have this ROM in kitchen form, would you be willing to share it? I could dump it, but my tools to dump Hermes ROM's are on another computer, and I'd like to simply take a look at the OEM folder of this ROM.
I have this in kitchen format on my work machine (won't have access to it till Monday), but how do you port from one device to another?
Is it as simple as replacing the device-specific files from a Wizard WM6? If so, I had found a list of device-specific files, but I don't know if this list is correct or comprehensive. Anyone know?

ceddk.dll
nk.exe

Tilt rom advice please

Hi guys, I have an HTC Diamond running Mighty Mike's 3.7 custom rom. My friend has an AT&T Tilt, and I would like to help her get a custom rom running. Since I don't own the device, I can't do any testing.
I was wondering if one of you Kaiser gurus might be able to recommend a solid custom rom for the Tilt so that I might be able to help her out.
Thanks a bunch for any advice you can give me.
Not to promote u starting a new thread for no reason....but ive been using hyperdragon without a problem or try IBI V8

Thanks. I will see if we can get her up and running on it. I appreciate the advice.
If you only want a solid experience I recommend the official WM6.1 rom update. It is what I use after countless flashes from almost all chefs.
i found wm6.1 made my phone run slow

as for the guy who started this thread...i hope you did some reading on flashing spl and/or security unlocking your friend's tilt before you play around with custom roms...

Dude I use Solace v2 (not the RC Series its not ready yet), Its the fastest and most stable 2d rom I've ever flashed. And I flash very new rom that is posted but seem to go right back to old faithful Solace v2. Its not flashy but it works with no issues I've put everything on it. I hope this helps.

What is Hyder Dragon VI ROM

Hi Guys,
I am using HTC Tilt 8900 unlocked phone and i am looking to upgrade the rom. I came across Hyper Dragon ROM VI. Kindly let me know is it the latest one available right now.
The biggest question in my mind is how to cook the ROM with HyderDragon Vi ROM. Kindly advice.
Regards,
Siddh
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397121 ?
Start with this:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser#ROMx20.Upgrading
It will explain how to flash a ROM onto your phone. The process is the same on all ROMs, so once you learn how to do it with one ROM, you can do it on all ROMs. Make sure you do the hard spl first.
As for the latest and greatest, the release dates for most of the ROMs are in the subject line of the thread (look in this ROM development forum- most of the posts are ROM threads with a ROM you can download). The ones that don;t have the date in the subject, will have the date in the first post. You can ask specific questions in each individual ROM thread.
I've used a few Hyperdragon ROMs (not the latest, but the one before that) and they are pretty good. They're all pretty good for that matter. If you're using a stock ROM, you'll like whichever one you put on it a lot more than the stock.
I know it was probably a typo but its actually HyperDragon IV
HDIV is the latest Rom from Sakajati and is a Hybrid WM6.5 which is in test stage so should only be flashed by members who dont mind wiping their phone once a week to get the latest bug fixes.
If you want a VERY Stable and Fast Rom with NO bugs that you can keep on your phone for a while then I would recommend flashing HyperDragonIII 25th December Build.

Can I put a JesusFreke rom on my mytouch 3g?

Hi, I rooted my mytouch 3g and installed a hero rom. However, it seems the hardware isn't up to par with the hero software and it seems a bit laggy. Anyway, I read somewhere that Jesusfreke roms are considered the most "stable." If I can install it, which ones can I use?
Also, if you think theres a better "stable" cupcake rom, please tell me! Thanks!!
I haven't seen Jesusfreke rom that are compatible with the myTouch but cyanogen is good too, check out his rom and check out the themes in the dream section.
Want something as fast and stable as the JF.
Flash this ROM and PM me feedback.
It's not release yet, but 2-3 days it will be.
This is the same type of ROM as found in my thread at ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4163230#post4163230
I'm sure you'll be happy with this.
(dead-link)
(Was a time limit on that link , so if you got it... you did, PM me with feedback)

Ill probably give the cyanogen try.
enomther, what exactly is this other rom.
like a JF, but new for dream and sapphire

Hey a.kim,
This ROM is aimed at using the Official T-Mobile binary release of the framework and apps, but with all the features a root user would typically want. (Pretty much like a JF build, but with some more built-in features)
For more info you could visit my thread in the Dream section ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538456
Essentially I have a new version v1.6.x that is on the brink of release that can run on the dream and sapphire (32B) hardware.
I've been giving out the pre-release version to those you desire.
If you are interested, you can PM me and I'll send you the link. Otherwise the official release will be in a day or two now.

Aussi Telstra ROM for HD2 released

Hi guys
Not sure if this has been posted already but there is no thread I could find in searching.
http://www.htc.com/au/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=924
New ROM version: 1.72.841.0
Download size: 176MB
You will need to get your serial number from the back case to download.
Haven't tried it yet myself...but plan to soon enough.
Good luck and enjoy
Davej
This ROM "upgrade" was realesed months ago and as it turns out is just as bad as the last one only with the added crapness of a non removable SMS sent notifaction that will make you want to scratch your brains out.
If your tired of your current Telstra ROM then my advice is dont use this one, Flash to a cooked ROM that works with out the Telstra bloat.
I recomend OzROM as it was cooked by an aussy for the NextG network and is stable as a rock!
Guys this is wrong thread you have to post it here

Thanks GeeOff,
Have over-pimped my HD2 and was beginning to have issues. If I am going to flash something it might as well be a better ROM!!!
