Does anyone else have an issue with...
1. songs will "pause" or "skip" for a second every now and then? i would say mine does it almost twice a song. man is it annoying.
2. why wont it continuously play? i have to unlock the phone and push the next key for it to play another song. It only does one at a time. also annoying...
with the music player issue and new rom update this is a pretty bad experience. i'm really hoping things get better though. I would like to enjoy my phone instead of searching the internet al day for fixes.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi im looking for some kind of mp3 player, which uses voice recognition to ie. switch songs, stop/play etc.
Main reason is, that when i ski and i got my gloves on, it takes too long to take them off and to stop the play
somethin like when i say next, it'll jump to next song, stop will stop, play will play Im using headset , so it would be really useful, if anybody knows some soft for wm just let me know,,,
thanks a lot
I guess you could do that with microsoft voice thingy.
I tried to play Plants vs zombies today and realized it doesn,t boot up if I'm listening to zune player in the background. Is that specific to that game or am I having an unrelated problem I'm not aware of?
Just for the record I have an LG Optimus 7.
I guess it doesn't depend on the phone model because I had the same problem with my Omnia 7 (forgot which app). I think there was a conflict between the zune player and the app/game -probably there can't be more than one audio source? Other tools worked fine so I guess it's app specific.
Gotcha. Well at least I know it's not a problem on my end. Kinda disappointing though since you could listen to your own audio while playing the game on other platforms. But oh well, I'll still enjoy the game (for the third time).

too annoying man, i love playing pro evo and listing to my mujsic, hoping i could dod the same. hope they fix it.
Some games (like the new edition of PAC-MAN and I think at least all XBox Live Games) ask, if you want your music stopped or playing in the background
Nah this one just won't boot up if your zune player is active. It will go to a dark screen then just come back to main screen.
And what happens if you pause the player, then start the game and then play music again?
Weird. Now it just works even with the zune player active.

What exactly do you mean by working? Does it even start while zune player is active or only with my tip to pause the player when starting the app?

I started the zune player and booted the game. No problem. I didn't even need to try your tip.
Sometimes strange things happen on this earth But nice that it works now
So what I've noticed in Mango Beta 2, is that many songs simply won't play when you select them from the Album or the Artist's list of songs. Rather than playing the song, it will skip to the next one immediately before even attempting to play it.
At first I thought this was an issue with the song format / corruption or something, but I noticed that all of these songs can be played when you look at the list view for all songs on your device. Anyone else experiencing this?
This has been one of the bigger things that's been bothering me with this beta build, and I don't remember this being an issue with NoDo.
Same issue here and I confirmed it with another friend running Mango on a different phone. Definitely a beta bug.
It also works fine if you build a playlist and play songs from there.
It wasn't an issue with NoDo.
I'm hoping they'll release a beta 3+ soon. I realize its for developers, but they really should get this going to keep gaining interest in the OS.
Yeah, I'm having this problem. Just posted about it in the bug thread (guess I should have looked outside that thread to see if anyone else posted about it lol).
I find that if I go to music and pivot from the Artist listing to the song listing it's fine, it's only when you drill down to the Album listing for an artist and pivot that the issues start. I think it has something to do with the smart dj option, because it does it on every list that has that up the top, but on pages it doesn't have it it's fine.

Thanks for confirming it. It's still pretty damn annoying.
Speaking of the update, I'm pretty anxious for beta 3. Just hoping they don't change the update process.

So I have a very stupid question / possible coincidence. I've had this come up once or twice already. Since obviously the Google now launcher does the okay Google hot word, is it also possible for it to identify music as well as the hot word automatically? In both previous cases I was listening to music on another device but had my phone on the home screen. When I go into google play music it has recommendations at the top based on said music I was listening to despite me not listening to that music in play music for a few days. Is this just a coincidence? My odd imagination? I just find it really weird.
Thanks.
P.S. I should clarify that by other device I mean the factory no frills radio in my car.

It's probably just using the information from your last visit to the Play store. If you think about apps's that are made for recognising music songs, doing something like this via a Google search bar it would make the app rather large? I'm sure it's a small file size?
I might be wrong, but I'm guessing it's just remembered from the last time you used Play store, it could be coincidence if you listen to popular songs.
Tapatalk (application) is an android app that allows you to connect at several forum sites. It combines data and it is used by many users because they can switch forums very easily.

Apologies for the delay. Yeah, I guess it is a coincidence. I tried today to trigger it intentionally but didn't get it to happen this time. Just seemed odd though the first time around. Odd in a good way, anyways. I happen to like all the Google smarts and integration rather than fear it, personally. Not enough hours in the day these days to accomplish everything so the more assistance I can get, the better.
Thanks again for the response.
Hi, as yo can see, this will be my first post so......be gentle.
About you question, i think that the suggetions come from the info that you music player gather about the music you listen to, you can see if your music player "sees" what are you listening in senttings>apps> -your music player- >permissions.
I hope that you found this helpful. =D
How the hell do you make the most recent added tracks on Google Music appear at the top so you don't have to scroll thru your whole damn bloody playlist to get to the track you just added?
WTF

Excellent question. Hopefully someone has the answer. My guess is that you cannot. It takes forever to just find the albums you own. The search feature does not list the albums in your library on the first page of search results if you have multiple albums by the same artist. It first finds the artist, the radio stations, and videos. You need to go into the artist, then scroll down to find the albums in your library. Such a waste of time.
The "New" play music versions have been horrible since the update after 4.1.513, when Google started really pushing their "unlimited' streaming service. Nothing is intuitive about the newer versions. I really hate the first row of "It's Monday today, play something for..." WTF is that? Try playing an album - in proper track order - with the new version... What a pain. NOT driving friendly. Sure, I can now say, "Ok Google, play xyz by abc" and sometimes the right album will play, but often in the wrong track order. More often it isn't what I wanted from my library. Seriously irritating..
My last (rooted) phone had 4.1.513 installed, and only that version. Thankfully, I had a TB backup when the crap updates started. If we can ever properly root the Qualcomm s7, I am hopeful that 4.1.513 will install OK on Marshmallow... Then again, the likelihood of rooting the US S7's seems to be dwindling each day. Very depressing.
Se, with our shiny new s7s, we are stuck with the latest crappy Play Music version. I really miss the Recently Played "flip" screen with the album covers. So intuitive. So long gone.
