Hi im looking for some kind of mp3 player, which uses voice recognition to ie. switch songs, stop/play etc.
Main reason is, that when i ski and i got my gloves on, it takes too long to take them off and to stop the play
somethin like when i say next, it'll jump to next song, stop will stop, play will play Im using headset , so it would be really useful, if anybody knows some soft for wm just let me know,,,
thanks a lot
I guess you could do that with microsoft voice thingy.

Does anyone else have an issue with...
1. songs will "pause" or "skip" for a second every now and then? i would say mine does it almost twice a song. man is it annoying.
2. why wont it continuously play? i have to unlock the phone and push the next key for it to play another song. It only does one at a time. also annoying...
with the music player issue and new rom update this is a pretty bad experience. i'm really hoping things get better though. I would like to enjoy my phone instead of searching the internet al day for fixes.
Thanks in advance everyone!
Dave
Hello,
I'm riding a bicycle everyday and skipping a track while riding isn't so easy. Pulling my X10 out of a pocket and changing a song is pretty hard (I have it in etui). So I was looking for an app that could change the tracks being played on a default music player (e.g.MIUI Miusic), not that it has it's own music player, because they're very bad. After pressing a button on a headset the app should activate and wait for voice command (e.g. next track) and it also should work offline, because I don't have instant Internet access, so something like database of commands on a sdcard. Also there wouldn't be such a big problem with language and missunderstanding the command. All the programs that I've found till this time needed Internet connection or had their own music player (e.g.Skyvi). I'm not an Android Dev, so It would be great if some of the Developers could make such a program.
I did a quick search and found https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.chobirich.tools.mediabutton&hl=en
Would it accomplish what you're looking for albeit without voice commands?

SE original headset isn't so fast for that program, so I choose JAYS Headset Control, in which I was able to configure the delay between clicks. It will take a while to learn the speed of clicking etc., but to answer Your question: Yes, this program does thing that I wanted > skips a track without taking out the phone
Thank You
Hello,
I bought my 8 year old a 9.7" android tablet.
I would like to get him an app or some way for him to listen to audiobooks and read along with the audio.
When he gets tired from reading, he could just listen to the audio and when he doesn't want the audio, he could just read himself.
I would like to emulate the experience of me reading to him pointing with my finger at the text, where we are right now, so he gets more familiar with the words.
I let him play a lot of Civilization 5 and give him advice on what to build etc, which makes him have to read 90% of the time he actually thinks he's just playing
I'm just trying to make reading a more enjoyable and less tedious experience for him because oftentimes he reads the letters, but can't figure out the word, it's supposed to be, especially when their foreign words.
I'd appreciate any advice you guys might have.
Just play the audiobook mp3 while the e-book is on screen. Almost all Android tablets support multi-tasking, so even when you switch to the view of the book, the mp3 will still be playing. This would not require any additional resources that the tablet does not already come with.

That's of course possible, but when you're not THAT good at reading yet, it's hard to find the exact line of the text, where the audio is. So, I don't know, something similar to Karaoke would be cool.
It'll especiallyhard, when you want to pause or start again, switching between the apps, without a hard button to push or to go back a few seconds or a paragraph
if you always wanted to know what your favourite music sounds like in reverse or if you wanted to discover messages that can only be heard if you listen to music in reverse, you can now do it
BackMusic is a music quiz in which you can guess your own music in reverse. It can be really challenging sometimes. It currently supports two different game modes. One where you have to guess your music in reverse while some answer possibilities are presented to you and one in which you don't get answer possibilities.
It would be nice if you would try it and rate it

And please tell me what you think is good and what's not ... Since it's my first app
A lot of us read on our smartphones. Whether it's a social media post or something your boss sent you to read. The key thing is we all read. Now think of coming back from your job or school after a long tiring day. You have to read something and you don't feel like it. What would help you in this situation is an app called voice aloud reader.
Simply select the text, tap share, and choose the app. It will automatically start reading the text for you. You can turn your screen off and lie down on the bed or make a cup of coffee.
This is cool. You know what would be even cooler? Some background noise.
The voice coming from a Text to speech app never sounds like an actual human being. Sometimes it's harsh, sometimes there are words we don't comprehend clearly. Adding a calm song in the background from your Spotify playlist while listening to Voice Aloud Reader makes it much better so listen to that robotic voice. Almost the same as what Youtubers do nowadays.
But there's a problem. The sound coming from Spotify will have the same amount of loudness as the sound of the voice coming from VAR(Voice aloud reader). Because they're both using the same system sound. The music would be too loud at that point and VAR will be unrecognizable.
Samsungs Sound Assistant(SA) can tackle this. It has two handy features.
• Per-app sound profile: Let's you set different sound levels for each app. You can set 90 for Spotify when you listen to podcasts and 60 for your music player.
So the music player won't be too loud and the voice in Podcast won't be too low. You won't have to set it every time you open those apps.
• Multi Sound: Spotify and Music Player both will run and play preset sounds simultaneously. You can play Mozart on your Music Player, set the volume to 20. Come back and play Podcast and set its volume to 80. This fixes the problem I've mentioned earlier in my post.
Here's the conclusion. You might think there aren't many people who listen to something and want another thing to run in the background. I can't argue with that.
Then again, you won't know something you like until you taste it. I never knew I needed it until I used a Samsung phone for a week. It grew on me and it's hard to live without it now.
I made a post about anti-flicker/dc dimming a few months ago for people with sensitive eyes like me. I saw a lot of responses saying flickering problems happens to very few people. Now I'm posting about something even rarer. I know it's a long shot but if Samsung could do this years ago, others can do it now if they try. And I'll be hoping for something like this one my Xiaomi or Pixel.
