Hey guys, I found XiiaLive to be a great app, but I miss TCPMP for winmo. The main thing I miss is being able to stream aac+ through a .pls file (playlist)
Is there anything out there like this?
Thanks!
try Meridian player it seems to be the best media player.
Yeah meridian is good, but I patiently await coreplayer android release...
(Which is the commercial version of TCPMP =] )

Hi!
I'm looking for a music player for Dell x51v WM6.1 VGA which can play FLAC, WavPack (.wv) and, most importantly, understands embedded (or just in same folder?) CUE files.
It does not matter if it is freeware and shareware.
Thank you.
tried this search

Finding player that supports WavPack or FLAC is not the problem. It's finding one that uses CUE while playing them.

Try Kinoma or CorePlayer (latest release). One of them should work
Good luck!

I've tried CorePlayer v1.3.0b6213 and it didn't play WavPack with CUE.
As for Kinoma I couldn't download since official website is down.
And I've solved the issue anyway . I bought a used iPod Video 30Gb for $70, installed RockBox and I now have CUE support!
like coreplayer on winmo.
what is the best media player for X10 rite now?
dont wanna depend on mediascape default player..as it doesnt stretch the screen on some videos

double-tap the screen? And if they don't stretch out on the whole screen, then I would not like to see it fitting the whole screen. Since then it would look all pixelated and ****.
Yxflash can play most video files. I think that Meridian might stretch them out, like you want. I am not quite sure tho, since I convert them so that they fit the screen.
I gotta agree there.. Yxflash does play other types compared to others such as avi/divx files! If you are after a basic player, I think there's one called act 1 player..

http://mobiputing.com/tag/wuzhenhua-player/
within link above there is a ref to a thread in xda, post 76 you'll find english ver
Please let me know if someone would like to have the english translation of Wuzhenhua Player v4.1. Then i will help to do it.
Wuzhenhua 4.1 is already in English ^^x
suggestion: what about turning this thread into a media player collection, OP updating #1 to get a referential on the subject instead of getting multiple/duplicate threads on the subject?

Media Go - Skyfire
I found that the SONY Media Go application can practically convert anything even old copy protected iTunes if you have DRM on your computer, If you are downloading off the phone browser try using Skyfire as this has built in video codecs for most video formats.

Btunes. Looks like a copy of the iPhone music player, but it's actually very good with lots of settings.
but it doesnt support a wide range of formats, more specifically the aac format.
Is there something like the VLC player for android?
I like the look of bTunes, but it sometimes messes uop album art. Not showing correct artwork for the song!
I found realplayer to be able to support the widest range of formats including aac.
i still like Zimly
Does anyone know if any players support FLAC? So far I have tried meridian, AndLess, AMplayer isn't compatible (2.1 only). Has anyone tried FLAC on btunes? Its too bad theres no trial.
Is there any player that can display Lyrics that are embedded in MPe tags like iPhone does when u touch album art while listening to the track? It kinda displays very neatly on a transparent pop-up page which you can scroll. Of course, it should display that only when lyrics are embedded in the MP3 tag and not search for them online.

Meridian plays flac files.. but u have to add them manually, Play by folder doesn’t play the flacfiles.
so you don't have flac ID3tag and flac file in Music tab. It does not show AlbumArt when playing flacfiles.
andLess plays flac also andLess on AndroLib haven't tried it though.
If you can live without FLAC or wait til we can have it native as in CyanogenMod, MortPlayer AndroLib is relly good, my number one music player
I love the cube player '3' pretty hard to find in the market so search on 'Filipe Abrantes' he made the app. Its a beautiful app!

That player is indeed impressive visually. But it's lacking in functionality right now, but it's a beta so I'm sure it'll improve with time.
I use Astro Player Beta, very good, great sound and also has an EQ which makes a difference
The HTC music player doesn't DL album art automatically. Is there a better featured music player? And recommendations for a video player.
Thanks.

I'm a HUGE fan of MixZing. It has an Album Art option and is well worth the paid version. As for Videos, I have used RockPlayer in the past. It works well and has good codec support.

i agree completely, used to be a huge fan of mixzing until i found player pro, it has all the same features plus gives you lock screen controls as well as several widget options to fit your screen's needs
Does anybody still use the cubed music app? I loved it. It downloads the album artwork, too.

Just bought playerpro, its fantastic and replaced MusicMod for me. For videos i use RockPlayer since its simple and allows me to watch .AVIs without having to convert them to .mp4 files first.

PlayerPro is the ishnish.
I love Meridian Media Player. there is a free and paid version. It plays all of my videos and music, let's you create playlists, downloads album art, shows lyrics if embedded, and works flawlessly.
Just downloaded Music Player and the beta of Winamp, but it seems neither of those read our internal storage so they are worthless to me.

FYI - the new powerAMP trial can see internal storage right out of the gates! Good work, developers!
What is a good app in the market where you can download just about any song on your phone safely?
No pirating .... just saw some out there and not sure which is safe and actually works.
