double-tap the screen? And if they don't stretch out on the whole screen, then I would not like to see it fitting the whole screen. Since then it would look all pixelated and ****.
Yxflash can play most video files. I think that Meridian might stretch them out, like you want. I am not quite sure tho, since I convert them so that they fit the screen.

I gotta agree there.. Yxflash does play other types compared to others such as avi/divx files! If you are after a basic player, I think there's one called act 1 player..

http://mobiputing.com/tag/wuzhenhua-player/
within link above there is a ref to a thread in xda, post 76 you'll find english ver

Please let me know if someone would like to have the english translation of Wuzhenhua Player v4.1. Then i will help to do it.

Wuzhenhua 4.1 is already in English ^^x

suggestion: what about turning this thread into a media player collection, OP updating #1 to get a referential on the subject instead of getting multiple/duplicate threads on the subject?

Media Go - Skyfire
I found that the SONY Media Go application can practically convert anything even old copy protected iTunes if you have DRM on your computer, If you are downloading off the phone browser try using Skyfire as this has built in video codecs for most video formats.

I like CorePlayer the most because of its very low CPU usage. However, there are a lot of other, great alternatives: iPlay, Pocket Player etc. Please read all my multimedia-related articles if you want to get a full picture of what each of these apps is capable of.
Give MortPlayer a shot
Install MortScript and play with Mortplayer.
Easy basic player not going nuts if you have gigs of music on your SD whith nice sound profiles (in case you don't use WOW-HD sound enhancement.
Thanks for the great info, it'll take some time to read up on all these and make a decision which one to try out first.............

S2U??? its crap.... ir could be great just because of how touch friendly it is but seriously i cant stand a media player without a good library and preferably a good playlist function....
unfortunately wmp kicks all other programs when it comes to library and playlist, just holding something and select add to playlist is so great, no other i have found can do that, but wmp stops playing music after phone calls
currently i use MortPlayer just because its "library" is good and it has the changer function so i keeps playing beyond the album i start listening too

Use MIUI music player, it has wide features such as text playback with a timeline and shake-to-play-next function included.
I'll second Winamp I always loved them and I had always
used it on my computer.
+100 for winamp
best player I ever had on pc and now on my good old samsung captivate running ICS dark night ROM
Amp is great

good music player?

can anyone recommend a good music player for the x10? Not a big fan of mediascape as it doesn't play many formats.
Try meridian player.. got a nice music control widget an all

Btunes. Looks like a copy of the iPhone music player, but it's actually very good with lots of settings.
but it doesnt support a wide range of formats, more specifically the aac format.
Is there something like the VLC player for android?
I like the look of bTunes, but it sometimes messes uop album art. Not showing correct artwork for the song!
I found realplayer to be able to support the widest range of formats including aac.
i still like Zimly
Does anyone know if any players support FLAC? So far I have tried meridian, AndLess, AMplayer isn't compatible (2.1 only). Has anyone tried FLAC on btunes? Its too bad theres no trial.
Is there any player that can display Lyrics that are embedded in MPe tags like iPhone does when u touch album art while listening to the track? It kinda displays very neatly on a transparent pop-up page which you can scroll. Of course, it should display that only when lyrics are embedded in the MP3 tag and not search for them online.

Meridian plays flac files.. but u have to add them manually, Play by folder doesn’t play the flacfiles.
so you don't have flac ID3tag and flac file in Music tab. It does not show AlbumArt when playing flacfiles.
andLess plays flac also andLess on AndroLib haven't tried it though.
If you can live without FLAC or wait til we can have it native as in CyanogenMod, MortPlayer AndroLib is relly good, my number one music player
I love the cube player '3' pretty hard to find in the market so search on 'Filipe Abrantes' he made the app. Its a beautiful app!

That player is indeed impressive visually. But it's lacking in functionality right now, but it's a beta so I'm sure it'll improve with time.
I use Astro Player Beta, very good, great sound and also has an EQ which makes a difference

MediaScape really slow for anyone else?

Is there an better alternative? I use my x10 as my primary music player, and I have a little over 1,000 songs on it. When moving through the menus for artists/albums/tracks its VERY slow. Then scrolling through artists/albums/tracks lags very badly.
Do you guys find this as well? Is there a better music player out there? I really like the UI of it, but the performance is really slow
I use mixzing for music, meridian for movies and just pictures for, erm, pictures.
I do like rockplayer but it has to have the worst and most unresponsive controls ever.

Mine is acting better. I'm gettin lag only when i browse by artist, but thats because of the many artists and album covers that are loading. But it's only there, so it's ok for now. I hope they fix this. I also want them to fix thi fast search bar (the one with letters) on the right. Because my phone is in a cyrillic language, Mediascape suggests that I'm listening only cyrillic artists too. It's funny, 'cause its the opposite. So the problem is that I can't jump from A to M, sipmly because there are no enlish letters.
Interesting is that this problem doesn't exist in the Phonebook.
Please SE, you're now working on low in-call volume, but this thing must be fixed too. I'm waiting since 014.
Yeah I use mixzing player, mostly for its built in equalizer as I found the volume even through headphones is rather low. If they improve mediascape to have an EQ and smoother navigation then it will be an excellent media player.

yep the controls are really pathetic....
I use Mixzing for music, I convert all my videos to mp4 and watch them in mediascape or rockplayer and Mediascape for images... My Mediascape isnt laggy, I use the dark modded one...
with MS the slowness is caused by the animation files, i find once i have gone through the list once and the animations have loaded it speeds up. There is no way we can speed it up though will just have to wait for SE to speed it up.
Do you have the rockplayer version 15/08/10?

well, you try MIUI Rom's musip player... It's all of the best you ever seen; Suppport all format. You khow HTC Sense Roms doesn't support some music format: flac, high bit-rate mp3, etc...
Auto download music lyrics, album cover. The best!
i would suggest stock..it has srs!!it does depend on the headphones from which u r listening...i do not use htc`s innovation all the time though!but i really like poweramp!!
I would use
PoweAMP
or
Winamp
Both are even better than HTC stock Music Player and ICS stock Music Player...

PowerAmp FTW. Definitely. It's just not free.
Well worth the asking price though. Try the trial period out OP and see if you agree.
Personally I'm satisfied with the stock ones from HTC and default CM7. They have great simple, intuitive features already built in.
If you are willing to pay €10 a month, i'd say spotify

Miui Player is only good on Miui Roms...you wont have lockscreen music controls or LastFM scrobbl in other Roms I'd suggest stock one
I like this one ---> http: //powerampapp.com/
Hello there,
if you're familiar with setting a 10-band equalizer, I would suggest the pro version of winamp (not free but well worth its price, imo). Otherwise sense stock player is ok to me. The best is to try a few with your headphones and see which one you like most!
Cheers
I'm still using mort player. Does everything i need and is free.

My opinion :
Stock sucks.. it finds mp3's that i dont want to play, and you dont have much settings
Music players that just rock:
For free : Mort Player
Not free : Power Amp (!!!!!)
Gesendet von meinem HTC Desire S mit Tapatalk
because of this topic i went looking for another mp3 player
i'd like to add nrg player to my list of favorite players
i actually like the stock music player, but if you want a player that you can tailor to your own needs in terms of looks then go for player pro, although it is not free i love the skins you can put on it.

Apollo Music player in CM10 doesn't show album art

I mean it does, but only the ones it automatically downloads from the internet. I don't want those they're like 100X100 plus I don't want it downloading these things over mobile network. I have all my musics tagged with high resolution album art, I wanna see those.
of course, my files are tested and they work with other music players, some show reduced quality jpeg, but Nutron Players shows the origional.
Apart from completely unable to see any of my album covers, apollo is probably the best music player (yea I tried them all, 38 of them) on android. so I really want this to work for a perfect experience.
Same question/problem here...

would love to use the app but i like to add my own album art and i hate that it catches it for me
I've just taken to using play music, it works fine IMO and has better jb support.
