This is a kernel based on richardtrip kernel (*thanks mate*).
In this kernel you can enable 1267 mhz with SetCpu.
FEATURES:
Kernel 2.6.29 (OC 1267MHz) + (UV patched all working now)
EXT4
tunnel module (automaticaly loaded on boot)
cifs module
Instructions:
1) Copy setcpu.txt in root of your SD card
2) Apply with recovery
3) Set 1267200 KHz in SetCpu
I think some people forget we are one entity, all together all helping eachother... No-one is here to be famous, we all just want to have the best phones possible)
And its you guys that make that happen

the lowest you can go with a fully functioning desire is 245, it is not reccomended to go lower!!!!
if you want to save battery, just limit your max voltage to 0.7ghz, and sleep profile as max 0.3ghz
you really dont want to be undervolting to 0.1ghz trust me)))

Setcpu has a "stress tester" built into the system info menu, but it's far from perfect and no replacement for running the phone for an extended period of time. Just run your normal apps and see if you get weirdness, then be sure it's the overclock that is causing it.

*6.35 radio and 1.76 spl only*
I've been posting a few kernels in different threads, time for it's own thread now.
This kernel has been tested on several of the 2.1 rogers releases, currently on Seo's rom cause I like minimalist and can add what I want.
It has ext2,3,4, squashfs, tunneling, compcache is available if the rom supports it as is swap.
Right now I have freq tables up to 710, the default boot is 528mhz and min is 122, use set cpu to set up what you want, I personally use 480/672 and have no battery problems at all.
(don't forget to detect freq on first start in setcpu)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Flash from recovery*
carz-2.6.29-710 kernel This is a new compile with max default at 528 on boot, 710 max with setcpu.
*NEW*
Here are some perflock kernels, screen off 245/245 screen on 480/ * , 528 is same as htc settings. I've eliminated all freq between max and min to minimize switching on each kernel. No setcpu needed!
MD5: 0c7f19441794a0ce27c5eed37baf18f0
carz-2.6.29-528-perflock-v1.0
MD5: 4a3024dbc3333970222d68efb6237903

carz-2.6.29-710-perflock-v1.0
MD5: 49fcf0cdecad0ddf3692d5d211598e96
I found I have to wipe cache and dalvik-cache when going from 710 no perflock to any perflock kernel, also the other way around
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have also put together a recovery for our new radio magics, it's AR's 1.7.0.1 for hero built with my kernel, this new recovery takes care of the slow sd mounting and fixes several issues. It also makes our magics appear as a magic for roms now I believe, I have to check.
recovery-AR-magic+-1.7.0.1
MD5: 762f4272f8d7172e49483d76c8ea91cb
Test it out with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery-RA-magic+-v1.7.0.1.img
Flash with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-magic+-v1.7.0.1.img
Thank you Amon-Ra for the recovery work.

I've flashed your kernel (first in the list) and setCpu 480/672...and my linpack score is only 2.54

Hmm, I'm getting 2.85 with that kernel, I have noticed a reboot after loading completely the first time helps.
The recovery doesn't load at all on a normal boot so it it shouldn't affect the rom at all as far as I can see.

You need it to go even higher with the MHz or, and that is really important, to adjust the maximum voltage. I don't like the feelin of not knowing how high the voltage is set ;-) Download the beta and set it to 1000MHz and 56 vsel. That worked fine for me...

The highest I've gotten mine was 1250 with 80 vsel. Any frequency after that only makes the device completely slow and unusable. So I think it may be a hardware limitation - which would explain the variance in maximum clocks from device to device.

Yep, after rooting (using the new version of the RATC tool) the stock chinese froyo, I can confirm this. I can also confirm Milestone overclock is doing great on this rom
I've compiled a kernel for Cyanogenmod 7 from Kali's sources that OC's up to 1.8ghz and has a minimum of 122mhz (along with a few other tweaks I forgot about). Just use setCPU. It's pretty much Kali-'s kernel, but with a few minor config changes that I just had to enable. If you feel the need to donate, please donate to Kali- as I just changed around a few files. A few more tweaks will come around as soon as I have spare time (school's a b*tch sometimes and I have a tattooing apprenticeship to juggle). Just request what you guys want for the next version and I'll do my best to add it.
Thanks to Kali- and the rest of the cyanogenmod team for creating our port, and to everyone who helped them out. Hope I'm not violating anything by posting this.

huh?you sure about the max speed(i know you said not every phone can handle it...but are you sure any can reach this clock speed?)
anyway, will try the module and report back..thank you for your hard work
when dark had a O3D i think he said he OC to 1.75 but im sure it wasnt the most stable at that speed

I could reach 1.67 stable and 1.75 buggy, so that's the max I used.

ok after i used the module to create a 1.65 flashable zip and flashing it using clockworkmod...the max speed still 1ghz...is there something im doing wrong?

Ahh. That's right.
I need to have the ROM auto load it.
Some ROMS will not auto load it and it has to be loaded manually.

It does not affect anything.

Alright. I'll be including a new script in the update that SHOULD cause it to boot.
It'll be the same script I used in AcidHazardROM when you chose your kernel.

The reason why overclock doesn't work properly, is because the "userinit.sh" script located in "/data/local" is not running on boot.
I have to add another script to "/system/etc/init.d" in order to enable it.

I just use script manager and edit the original 1 I made to find a stable frequency then select run on boot
Edit: btw the dark lestat I am on Prometheus 1.4.5.1 kernal and the highest I can get before it laggs is 1340 in your opinion would kernel make a big difference on my Max frequency just a question?

Hello everyone.
I have made a kernel for you all! I was making this kernel for my new ROM (Axiom rom) but I stopped the project so I am releasing my kernel here. The kernel is made out of Samsung Open source Update 3. the kernel has been patched to 2.6.35.14. The actual number of builds are over hundred but I am using #3 because its my birthday

Dude, Maroc Sir gave his best!
And he gave galaxy y community so much!!
Sry about the whole quoting ..i've cut shorted it.
I've tried two overclocked Kernels merruk and Eve by Zenc
Merruk was like a true Overclock cuz wen i set the freq to 200-200 the performance will drop and increase in 1.2-1.2 (but it has minor bugs)
but Eve kernel gave same performance at all freq' made me think it may be fake. (but bugless)
So Can u tell the performance of AXIOM kernel..any bugs..
does not work on cm7
So when did you become Linus Torvalds?
I never knew you could hack the kernel to 2.6.37.14. Awesome job.
Maybe you could teach me how to do that?

Good point. And the features in this new kernel looks more or less similar to Eve_kernel
EDIT: What the heck is "wpn support". Shouldn't it be "vpn support"?
