My Sprint TP2 was replaced under insurance through Assurion, the spl version on it is spl-0.72.0000. The SIM is security unlocked, I have tried everything i know to try in order to get hardspl on the phone. Ultimately either the phone just reboots instead of going into sspl , or i get to the upload screen at 0% until timeout. Can you please assist ? any idea's ? The phone i had replaced, i had hard spl 1.00 olinex something like that .. and was able to update my rom.

I am trying to install the XM6r2 version of rom provided by mfrazzz in the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315178
and I am following all the steps as you specified in your first mail, and when I say I am following the steps, I mean, I am doing the base Rom installation from my provider, then Splash screen stuff for G4 users, then Radio rom stuff as you specified in your first post and then I am coming to the step of Installing your XM6r2 rom, but everytime at the end of the installation = after 99%, I am getting the error Error (302): Update Error and then it ask for the recovery.
Can anyone please help me with this problem, I really want to try this rom you provided, also I am quite new to this stuff but since last three days I read some stuff about the roms etc. so I know atleast that my device is XDA mini S is a G4 device because my IPL/SPL is 2.xx.xxx.1.
moreover:some more info about my XDA
ROM Ver: 2.21.4.1 WWE
Radio Ver: 02.07.10
Protocol Version: 413.1.03
ExtROM Version:2.21.4.101
If I am doing something wrong please point me out or help me with this problem.

Are you running the ruu to run the update on your G4? Try Shelltools instead. Sorry, I know very little about G4's so can't help you much more than that, but there are lots of people with G4's running XM6r2.
You may have more luck posting in the G4 Wizard forum if people don't respond to you here (this is really a G4 issue and not a WM6 issue).

Were your contacts stored on your SIM card? If not then your contacts went bye-bye when you installed the new rom.

By default the rom hides sim contacts...go into start, programs, and use the sim managerto copy the sim contacts to the phone or do a search for the registry hack which hides sim contacts and disable it.

i have tried 2 different Rom's from here
1. XDA Mobile 6 r2a
2. Tri-Syn-WM6
in either cases i get the same error 302 and it reaches 99% and gives me the same.... I have an unlocked pone and it is also CID unlocked.
any tips.... or if u can link me to a direct ROM which can help, i'll be highly appreciated.
here i have found 100's of rom's but nothing which actually can update a 8125 cingular to WM6.
i also read a lot abt briking. so im scared to glory before error something or getting myself an expensive paperweight. HELP

I have a Cingular 8125 (as well as many others here) and the roms here will all work IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY...
Are you sure you are CID Unlocked? This is different than SIM unlocking. I would highly recommend you read the stickied post on how to flash a device and make sure you have done all the steps to CID Unlock your phone and that you didn't skip anything. If you haven't gotten both of your IPL and SPL down to 1.xx then you have NOT CID Unlocked (if you have a G3).
Good luck, but if you follow all of the directions provided to you, this stuff will work.

Contact me by PM and I will make you a reasonable offer and send you my email address to send the files to. Don't post your files in this thread as that is unneccessarily spamming the forum.
To produce the required files, connect your phone to PC with a USB cable, wait until activesync is ready and then run "simlock.bat" from the attached zip file on your PC. There will be two files called docid.bin and simlock.bin in the subdirectory "1" on your PC.
If you have trouble running simlock.bat it is usually because the phone is not properly unlocked. In that case run the attached unlocker "SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe" on your PC. After running it you will be prompted to restart your phone.

And Jockyw2001 would spend the rest of his life making manual calculations for others. That's a nonsense. So, with all respects, if you want to unlock your phone, pay for it.
If you want to unlock it for free, you can always learn about the platform, about the files he needs for unlocking (obviously the code is generated from those files), and how to do it. But if you don't want to work for it, neither you want to pay for it, maybe better if you buy an unlocked phone next time.
I paid for my unlock code. That were 20 eur on imei-check, and in an hour I got the phone unlocked with a program and a usb cable. It's not much money, and you get the service you want

Hi All mates. my wizard is not displaying the GSm Radio. and due to this its not get connected with active sync. cause i want to reinstall my radio. and in bootloader mode no rom and upgrade utility is working. so what can i do.? is there any perfect solution so i can upgrade my rom to original shipped rom. i have ll versions of shipped roms.
also my wizard is not displaying the battery. its saying "Unknown battery" and not displaying any power percentage. and also no sound.

mates the problem is solved by wizard love rom. i put the pda in bootloader and start installing the wizard love directly. i also have imei-check unlocker. and i unlocked many pda's using my key. the trick is simple.
they register a key on you imei no. install wizard service tool and just change the imei of wizard to the one on the key. and then unlock with imei-check unlocker. it will work great and then change back the imei to its original using wizard service tool.

I found an old used device that was locked and I didn't know the security unlock code.
I had first to put the original Rom as a device to unlock and then to try if I can do SuperCID unlock.

After SPV-Services stop working I try without SPV-Services and now I have corrupted the "encrypted block" with the following message "Data Crashes Please Contact Your Service Center".
Sad - another Tornado died :-( R.I.P.
How did you kill that? I thought SPV Services will not write to the device if it cannot connect? Lokiwiz is working Ok if you do it right - I unlocked many Tornado with this. What did you do?!

If you like to invest some $$$, you can recover the encrypted block with the procedure from http://www.imei-check.co.uk/c600_unlock.php I did this 2 years ago for a device with the same problem and it worked. The verify procedure for payment is a little nasty though.
At the past I had unlock to many phones with SPV-Services.
For first time I try to unlock with other way and now I have a phone with corrupted "encrypted block.
If you are a little more verbose about what you did, I can advise you possibly how to recover. Otherwise, the last resort is mentioned in my previous post - still no reason to dump the device.
