It doesn't boot because it doesn't have a G1 compatible boot image. If we get a good kernel for it (and optimize all the images to 320*480 and redo some xml files), it should work just fine. But I don't see the point since it's almost exactly like a nexus rom; No custom firmware like sense or blur or anything, just plain old vanilla 2.1. The only thing worthwile would be the apps I guess.

Well then can we make one? I think we should take... who evers Kernel you suggest lol. Probably Cyanogens Android 2.1 Kernel. Resizing sould do easy. I don't know how to edit XML's though.

I would just give it up. There are just too many differences form that phone to the G1 that its close to impossible. To begin, the screen has twice as many pixels as the G1, meaning every single image needs to be resized. It's running stock 2.1 with a couple extra apps/widgets. There is no point in wasting time on this when we already have an almost fully functioning 2.1 rom (cyanogen). The only thing that I see as worthwhile to try to port is nemoplayer, and we already have that just google the apk. If your stubborn though GL.

i lost track and started over with these 3 might do a hero rom since its my favorite but would rather not.Sense-hero is the best hero out now.i was excited by the release of mw2!

i believe so but ive never used any cyan roms, i use nandroid to backup a hero rom before testing my beta roms.

Curious? Lol, I can read code. There is nothing in there from the new dump. Not to mention the random bits of code and files that barak was using to test, but have no purpose in the build for actual release.
I kinda feel a bit foolish for trying to buy you time in the other thread you started for this by saying you were taking on a big challenge. That wasn't an excuse to just re-release what was already done. It was meant to help people back off while you got your feet wet.

Can you ever really make"make" a hero rom? The best you can do is from dumps so I'm sure he didn't "make" it per say, but I'm sure he came as close as he could

You see I like the changes in 2.1 sense but I'm fine with using a older version of andoid it doesn't bother me at all. None of the feats like LWP's and blah blah blah matter to me, as long as I can use gameboid, task killer, and any other apps i use.

Yeah, I installed 302BFS From HERE... working fine now
for fuzzys you have to install the DEPORT1.0 but thats only for MT3G/Magic users if i remember... so we dont have htc's facebook on this rom?? damn thats what i love the most about sense roms...

Hi, I've made a 2.1 rom based on the unodexed apk's thanks to wesgarner and ivanmj as well as wesgarner's kernel and vega's battery fix to get rid of constant errors in logcat.
Mods please consider that this rom is fairly heavily based on a build RELEASED BY IVANMJ... I can confirm there is no warez in the rom.
Firerat, please test. I think some users may have a problem due to your a2sd script. It hangs on my g1 in middle of boot when utilizing it (logcat says surfaceflinger and many other services died, zygote exit).

Based on the quick eris software (eclair 2.1)
Normal features working, except for data. Phone calls work tho, and wifi. Working on a fix.

His is de-odexed, his uses Wes' kernel, and I'm sure he included his own fix. So what makes YOURS better? But this runs dexopt on boot and has optipng-ed frameworks I didn't do it though.

This rom is for g1 and mt3g, hence the signature and the forum I posted in.

My name is Chris and i take no credit for any development, as i dont know how to really develope.All this really is, is fresh rom 2.3.3 but stripped down and themed and with the exception of droid unlock screen with working alarm clock, and batscreen boot up logo. So basically this is a stripped down rom of fresh rom 2.3.3
took alot of apps that were taking up alot of memory. this means no friendstream no live wallpapers i do not know about overclocking i think it does but im not sure i really dont use it, also i dont know if it has a2sd. you should have 109 mb availible after flashing. remember i am not responsible for what you do to your phone. always do a nandroid back up. wipe everything before flash.

Well, it's failing at verificaiton. I tried a wipe, but it didn't fix it (didn't think it would...). I'll try re-downloading it to see if that might fix it.

alright i downloaded and did a wipe and everything then flashed and everything went ok maybe it was a corrupt download and something happened but everything went fine with me tell me if this keeps on happening after you redownload.

Well luckly I had this phone donated to me by one of my fellow peers that I helped on the HTC View 4G. I spent about 2 hours figuring out how the boot ani worked, sound etc. Then customized my script for the LTE to work on here. Now the hard part is converting all 120 of the ani's from 720x1280 to 540x960. Plus this phone boots super fast lol which makes alot of my animations useless. I have a lot of animations that are around 20-30 seconds long, this phone boots up in about 10 seconds lol
threw another one of my favorites (and the most downloaded one for the LTE and ONEX) up for you guys. :good:

I have had over 50 downloads in the last day and a half but no ones commented? Come on ya'll!
Ok its been a total of 5 days now (since my last post). I have to know what you all think so far. I had to wipe my computer so I need to know if it's worth it to get my workshop re-set back up to make ani's for the photon q again.

YAY! 1st request today!....
I get an error saying I need to have a custom rom? :/
I plan on keeping the stock rom until we have more of a stable selection, or just a stable rom in general. So does this mean I won't be able to flash any of these until then?
Also, can I request the cm9 boot ani?

are u trying it through recovery? as long as u have a custom recovery and root it should work. ill message u tommorow when i wake up

I'm not very picky, as I do love Mario anything! But I'm getting the same error he is, asking for a custom rom. I'm running the C Spire variant of the Photon Q, although it has TWRP 2.3 and it is Rooted w/SuperSU installed and updated.
Hook me up ^_^
Is there anyway to view these prior to install? Personally I would enjoy anything that includes skulls

TWRP 2.3 is the recovery I'm running in when I try to get these boot ani's installed......... and I'm for sure rooted, as I've been removing crappy bloatware like crazy lol
