is there a shot gun app in the market like the one on iphone??
There are some gun apps but all of them suck .
Try this new site --> www.google.com
Its got loads of features the best I think is the search feature. It allows you to search for information on the WWW allowing queries you have to be answered.
One such query... shotgun app for android?
Well yes said Google, try here --> http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-scheffsblend-schottgunn-npq.aspx

Hi,
I'm new to HTC, and windows mobile. I'm having great difficulty in finding apps that I want, how do I go about finding them until the XDA marketplace is up and running?
I'm currently after an ebay app if there is one, and also a converter app. Also I've read somewhere that there's an app/cab file that allows any program to be in landscape or portrait, but I can't remember the name. Think it was gyrator or something but I can't find it, any idea?

I can't help you with the ebay app, but you want BsB Tweaks to allow rotation in applications, or try PLToggle (in my sig below).
For the ebay app, I'd recommend searching in the windows apps forum (in general), rather than a phone specific forum.
Hope this helps

Mate, before you do buy things .. search .. search .. search! this community has a lot to offer and there is bound to be a freeware that can do what you are looking for.
Of course when all fails default to buying the app. If you find what you are looking for consider donating to the hardworking developers here.

Hi Snerkler,
Searchng on XDA is not easy (I should know). Use this tool, which should give you a fighting chance...http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=+site:http://forum.xda-developers.com&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all.
Also look here ..http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/
And if you google "windows mobile apps" or "free windows mobile apps" you will be surprised what you can find!
Unfortunately we don't have an app store like that other device; however there are thousands of apps out there.
Just thought of another 2 sites:
Clove....http://www.clove.co.uk/
Handango....http://www.handango.com/homepage/Homepage.jsp?storeId=2218
If you are stuck after all this then do one thing.......send me your phone and pack it all in.
Good luck chap
WB
PS PM me if you need more info but don't want to look stupid on here. However you have been getting loads of help off people here which is good; no one's told you to get lost yet or to RTFW (read the wiki (lol)).
Must be your excellent Karma. Do enjoy exploring the world of Windows Mobile.

hey
could you point me in the direction of where that is being developed
thanks
There's a nice app store app you can get from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-opnmarket.html that contains some of the xda initiatives (along with other developers creations). Otherwise just look through the forums for your device.
And of course there's Microsoft's own 'marketplace' app store for which there should be a 'Marketplace' app already installed on your phone (or you can go to
https://marketplace.windowsphone.com/default.aspx if you want to view it in a web browser (note that it doesn't work well if you're using Opera (despite that being on many flagship windows mobile handsets) - nice one Microsoft ).
Ian
Thanks Ian,
just installed Omarket, very impressed with it so far.
I search for Internet addresses of the roms you have installed the apps for Wario Jewels and light vNes
I don't believe anyone here is going to be supplying gamelists for you to use. Unless someone here keeps a completely homebrew gamelist somewhere that they like to share, I think you are out of luck asking that here.
I've already tried on each art earth resembled a game list to create myself but I always get an error appears and I find no vNes page: (

For WJ7 here's their homepage link, there's also more info on their facebook page or so I've been told. Here's also a youtube video on how to add games.
As for vNESLight, the development thread is right here.
Just read the first post on how to add games, u can do it via web/xap or via a isolated storage tool.
and where do I get the roms?

-.-, xda does not allow or condone piracy.
Also I'd suggest you to use the search function before asking a question, it's more than likely already been answered.
I'm also a strong believer in jfgi. No offense meant, well maybe a little.
I love the website but have to call y'all out when your mobile app tells me that it's search feature is down. Its almost hard to believe its possible with all the talent that utilizes this web site. Just a heads up you may want to fire a web manager

The search feature goes up and down like a whore's drawers. Not really a problem - you can just use Google to carry out a site specific search if you need something. That's what I do most of the time anyway as I find it to be more accurate (not just for XDA, for for most web forums out there)
As for "Firing someone" - most of the people on here do this for free and as the site doesn't make as much revenue through click-ads and the like, we have to accept the odd glitch from time-to-time as our mobile-phone life would be much worse without this great resource.
Yes the search via the mobile devices can be a challenge. I my self use browsers and the apps.

This thread is in place for reporting issues with xda app.
Thank you and thread closed.
greetings
i'm sorry if this is against any of xda rules, or shouldn't be posted here. but i'm an android developper having a top app in my country (1 million + downloads on play store) and the thing is every time my app seems to be top app, google removes it and sends me a warning + they suspend my account. i'm pretty sure the app is virus free, and does not contain any privacy violation. in fact there are several other apps offering the same features ( or at least trying to ) and i cant contact google from a 3rd world country.
i'm not sure if a competitor is running a script on the report page , or google removes it by mistake. could any of you guys help me try to figure this out?
PM me for further info
thanks

I'm pretty sure that if you are able to create an app and publish it "from a 3rd world country" then you are more than able to contact Google and resolve this yourself.
Sir that is a strong title, Please take it up with Google.
Thank you & Thread closed.
Let's say I have an app for my restaurant chain and I want to display banner ads on my android app. I want to use my own ads, local partners with who I have some deals. I don't want to use Google ads because I really don't see the point. I just want to advertise some of my local partners. It will be something like a small banner ad on the app pages.
Does Google Play Store allows me to use my own ads on my Android app?

I asked them on the forum link above and they said: Your question seems to be of a more technical/development oriented nature, and it would be better suited in forums like StackOverflow or XDA.
