Hi,
how can i increase the volume into a phone call.
Usually the volume is low and if i am in a noisy place i cannot hear correctly.
i try to change the radio rom but no effect.
i searched the forum and i have changed some values in the registry (AudioGain) but the only result after a lot of tests is that i can hear also the music during the call so even worse.
What i would actually want is to increase the max volume to very loud and to control it with the in call volume(up/down). This control seems very limited, the difference between low and high is almost none
I am currently running TNT 19209 but i think this happens on all new roms.
I think also the mic needs a little boost but i have to ask more people about this.
Thanks!
Hey,
I've been seeking for a reghack to decrease my incall volume since it's just way too loud. Even though I've turned the system-incall-volume to its minimum it feels like I'm always yelled at.
Cheers
Hey guys, I been trying to find a way to boost my volume lvl when watching a movie, the stock volume doesnt seem to be loud enough, my fan in my room drowns out the stock volume when pushed to near max lvl.
So far the only 2 apps that I found have been Volume+ and Equalizer so I wanted to know,
which of the two works best? If you use them what are your settings?
Can you have both Equalizer and Volume+ installed at the same time?
Or are you using a different app?
I currently have Volume+ installed and cant tell if its doing anything.
As far as Equalizer goes, i have no idea what bars to push up so i pushed them all up and that seem to help make my volume louder.
Thanks.

As far as I know, Volume+ was made to work with Gingerbread phones only as stated in the developers market page, meanwhile Equalizer has been officially updated to support Honeycomb tablet screen sizes. I have been using Equalizer myself since the Xoom launched back in February. It worked great then, and now it works even better with the recent Honeycomb UI update!
The best sound output settings would be to drag all of the bars up to +15dB. The bass booster intensity, virtualizer, and the reverb settings would all be your personal preference. It usually won't ever distort the sound in any way, but rather increase the overall system volume by... I'm going to say literally 10 times louder. You'll notice an immediate difference especially while listening to music or watching a movie. Also, make sure that you have the notification bar shortcut option checked as the equalizer can sometimes be shut down by the Android system. Doing so will force it to turn back on automatically after a few seconds time.
Been using this exact setup for months now, and couldn't be happier! Hope this helps.
Disagree with above post. Don't crank up all your sliders to Max. Increase DB means you will get more distortion especially bass. Yes it will be louder. But the audio quality is utter crap. Why trade loudness and throw away the quality sounds this machine can produce? Half way up or less and keep lowest bass and high trebble a bit further back is my Max recommendation for Equalizer app. Heck just experiment and listen. I have both apps. Volume+ was a godsend to my evo 3d. Ended up returning it anyways. The volume increase bar doesn't work the same way on zoom. Also once in a while you have to move certain sliders lower for the effect to kick back in. Overall it sounded fake, hallow, washed out. Equalizer is a way better app for the zoom. You can set profiles and specific files can use different profiles. You aren't losing loudness per say cause it never really worked on zoom like other phones and zoom is already loud. For speaker I just choose flat. All at zero. Better then what zoom had as default.

Hmm.. I have been doing what I said in my post above since I got the OG Droid pretty much since it launched. The Droid maxes out at 10dB. Been using DSPManager on it to drag all bars to max dB. Yes, I know what that means, but with this method you will not be turning the system volume all the way up. It will be much louder, and I have not noticed any quality issues while maxing the dB while my Xoom is connected to my 200 watt wireless speaker system with the subwoofer cranked all the way up. It will cause quality issues if the system volume is totally maxed out, of course. That's common sense, but you will not ever have the need to do such a thing if you simply just adjust your Xoom's system volume properly and accordingly. You pretty much never ever want to max out the system volume if you were to use these kind of heavy settings on an equalizer. Again, common sense.
But yes, that's why there are the adjustable bars for an equalizer. You can change the settings on the fly just as you please. No audio quality loss if you do it right. I'm a tech expert, and that's what I have been doing for years. Wouldn't ever change it because there is no quality loss if you do it correctly, and the sound is ten times louder. Only you can decide what works best for your situation. Thanks!
I have an LG Optimus 7 and there is no speaker other than the earpiece. For certain types of sounds this is really quiet.
Whilst I'm not expecting high volume levels, a bit more would be good.
Are there any known registry edits to increase the system volume gain? I have seen registry tweaks for "increasing volume" but these only change the scale - the upper limit is the same.
This used to be easy enough under WinMo but can't find out how to do it on WP.
Hi all,
Would it be possible to separate the low and high tones, so the low tones are played through the one speaker and the high tones through the other?
I know the maximum volume may be a little bit lower when that's done, but it shouldn't make a huge difference either. 2 speakers doesn't mean the maximum volume doubles, in fact, it doesn't even raise that much.
Also, I don't know for the lower tones, but the speaker that plays the high tones could probably be pushed a bit loader since the driver doesn't come out that far. That way the total volume could maybe almost be as it is now.
After all this said/asked, THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF SEPARATING THE SPEAKERS.
When the speakers play the whole frequency of the sound, it may reduce bass or sound less "clear". This comes because the driver has to "trill" fast for the high tones and slow for the low tones at the same time. If we can separate the speakers so one speaker plays only the low and the other only the high frequencies, each speaker would have a smaller frequency range to play. This could give deeper basses and clear sounds.
What do you guys think about this?
