I'm locked into O2 in Ireland and the phone now seems to be operating grand especially after Cookies software. Do I need to install the Artemis Rom and what benefits might I get. There is no sign of an official update from o2.ie and I'm on 1.44 or something

i´m not sure that i understand what you mean! But i see no Problem to use Artemis ROM! I´m running on Artemis v10 Ger and it runs good!

I do own a TyTn 1 and I would like to upgrade the ROM to the TyTn 2 or Kaiser version (German). What do I have to do for doing this?

If you want a custom ROM for your TyTN1 device look in the Hermes Mobile 6 section.
Some settings, applications, libraries and the like for the Kaiser can run on a Hermes if integrated with a Hermes base ROM. In fact a lot of the functionality from the Kaiser ROM's has already been merged into custom Hermes ROMs that people have cooked up but there is no way to run the Kaiser ROM on a Hermes and vice versa, they have very different CPU/SoC setups for a start.
feel free to flash what ever you like to your HERMES but i can promise one thing It wont work after that my friend!
Hi Guys I have a HTC Tornado which I have flashed with 6.1 so I am familar with flashing ROMS. I just gote a brand new MDA Vario III so I would just like to know out of the current 6.1 shipped roms could I flash a vodafone or AT&T to My vario III after unlocking using the tool ?
Or is there another recomended ROM that works 100% ?

after unlocking u can use any cooked rom. i'm using Dutty's 6.1 rom working absolutely find on my MDA Vario 3

After flashing various roms on my Vario 3 my the best rom I found and have stuck with is No Frills Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379411
Duttys roms are superb, quick, however, for some reason Memory Map GPS software wont run any of duttys roms, and there is some fine tweaking that is required. I guess if you dont need Memory Map then this aint an issue! But have a look at NoThrills Rom, my phone has been running superb for over a month now, and the radio is excellent.

or you can wait a few days and nothrills will be releasing a wm6.1 rom. All his roms are pure htc roms except for performance tweaks everything else is as it would come from htc themself.

You can look at my lite rom. It contains only files from MS and HTC device drivers. All custom applications have been removed. I also included the ROM Folders so you can customize it!

I am using both with good results. Both are full 6.1 ROMs, are stable and contain all HTC improvements for video and general performance.
Both are very similar at their core. The at&t ROM is bloated with at&t specific features and additional junk. You can eliminate much of this from your user interface but will lose storage space.
I am running a nearly identical set of apps on both with good results.

I can see that most of the advanced chefs are cooking diamond based roms for kaiser and pure kaiser ROMs is undergoing not much change ( May be the CHEFs want more challenge ;-) ). I would personally love to see a very stable and very fast Kaiser based rom. DIamond ROM in kaiser , not doubt slows the performance....

Fast and stable IMHO.
I am noob in windows mobile I have just switched from nokia n73 to HTC S710. Some people think it was not a good idea but anyhow. 4 days back I tried to upgrade my cousins gene but after applying HSPL it was dead. I asked a lot of people in gene subform how recover, in the end a Rom chef told me if I had bought phone this year then there is no solution to it. So finally I had to take it to HTC service centre and they have asked me to check after 5 days.
Now I have bought Vox myself so learning from past experience I am asking you guys first. I have read wikki though.
1) Which is the fastest but most stable rom? (Which does not have bugs)

First you should decide whether you want WinMo 6.0 or 6.1. As far as I heard the ROMs with the new XIPs are faster. I would say the Neo ROMs are the fastest 6.0 ROMs. For 6.1 there isn't such a huge difference But my experience is that the 96 dpi ROMs are pretty fast, but they are by far not bug free. Otherwise you have to decide what software you need. Gonzo's ROM has everything in it, my Lite ROM is pretty much the same, just without some apps.
In the Wiki is a list of hopefully most ROMs.
For USPL the 1.16 is definately working, as it did for over a year now. I don't know if the newer ones have any advantages or not. If you go to the wiki and follow the guides carefully you should not brick your phone. Link is in my signature.
My SPL is 1.34.000 as I have seen from my bootloader information. So can I use 1.16.
Is Neo Rom .9 bug free, have you tried it also I have read few threads people saying Hikey's WM6.1 roms are stable but does not have his thread here. From my information given is stock rom for my current os available somewhere.
It is on the XDA-dev ftp. There are a couple of shipped ROMs.

Well not all speak chinese I am on WM 6.1 v1.0 by LeFab47 alias fireburned with new xip 20202. So far it is the best for me. I hope he gives a version without thirdpart applications.

No one can tell you what will work best for you, cause you know exactly what you want out of your phone. The best piece of advice that I or anyone else will give you is to flash a new ROM try for a view days if you like, great if not, then flash another. That is where the fun comes in.

As you started your thread (and it was your 1st or 2nd post in your xda-life), you must take a good mortgage of it. Is your thread about a doubt on the way you must flash again ? About the differences between HyperDragon and Ultimate-x2 ? About differences between WM6.1 and WM6.5 ? About the best radio and SPL for this new flash ? This thread can give us a lot of juice, if you press it like a lemon. Please go back and post your Radio, SPL, and all your doubts which you think that can be important to be answered to share with other people. That's the way your thread will be useful.
I was missing when bought a Kaiser with PDA-Corner Ultimate and tried to flash another ROM. Lots of doubts assaulted me. I was afraid about bricking my device. Did not know if the radio was the good one, etc. Work about those doubts for you here and this thread will be interesting as many people will post links to "how-to" or "compatibilities"
