Hi Guys I have a HTC Tornado which I have flashed with 6.1 so I am familar with flashing ROMS. I just gote a brand new MDA Vario III so I would just like to know out of the current 6.1 shipped roms could I flash a vodafone or AT&T to My vario III after unlocking using the tool ?
Or is there another recomended ROM that works 100% ?

after unlocking u can use any cooked rom. i'm using Dutty's 6.1 rom working absolutely find on my MDA Vario 3

After flashing various roms on my Vario 3 my the best rom I found and have stuck with is No Frills Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379411
Duttys roms are superb, quick, however, for some reason Memory Map GPS software wont run any of duttys roms, and there is some fine tweaking that is required. I guess if you dont need Memory Map then this aint an issue! But have a look at NoThrills Rom, my phone has been running superb for over a month now, and the radio is excellent.

Hi all,
Just got a M500 for work needs...
Wanted to upgrade the ROM to the newest available 1.13 or 1.12 tmob rom, as its on an old one, but I have been informed on modaco that the m500 has a diff ID code, so I was wondering if its safe to flash a MDA Compact rom to the M500?
I know how to remove device codes etc, its just I want to make sure it is compatible, and not turn the unit into a brick...
Did have a search but couldn't find the right answer...
So has anyone put a mda compact rom, or 1.13 on a m500?

have seen the treads on upgrading to 1.13 etc, happy to go ahead only if i know it wont bork my m500... would i need to transfer the id code from the old rom to a new one?
I'm running the NL orange 1.12 rom atm and its fine, I would just liek to make sure im on the best rom available...

all of them has T-mobile extended rom so you geting t-mobile stuff like theme etc.
Now i've put wm6 crossbow and its ok but if anyone konws better wm6 rom please tell me.
I'd be interested to know of any that already have the 02 settings already in it so i don't have to set up the connections for 02

Hi,
None of our Roms have the TMob extended Roms included with them.
You have probably flashed a TMob Rom at some point with the extended rom included in it.
The OS is NK.nbf the extended rom is MS.nbf, if you do not want to install the cabs in your extended rom, either flash a blank extended rom (MS.nbf) to your device, or after callibrating your device on first boot, simply soft reset as soon as you are prompted that the install will begin.
This will bypass the installation of software from the extended rom.
For those of you after network settings, search for the Schapps Network auto config tool, I think there is a post in the Upgrading forum about it.

Jwrightmcps is the best in my opinion.he also have o2 setting already,and anothe ext rom so it will erase ur prev t mobile ext rom.all the other rom u mention didnt have ext rom.

If you want a custom ROM for your TyTN1 device look in the Hermes Mobile 6 section.
Some settings, applications, libraries and the like for the Kaiser can run on a Hermes if integrated with a Hermes base ROM. In fact a lot of the functionality from the Kaiser ROM's has already been merged into custom Hermes ROMs that people have cooked up but there is no way to run the Kaiser ROM on a Hermes and vice versa, they have very different CPU/SoC setups for a start.
feel free to flash what ever you like to your HERMES but i can promise one thing It wont work after that my friend!
i just 2day bought me htc tytn II aka Kaiser on contract i have had experience in flashing etc i had a spv m5000 and i installed WM6 into it cant remember which ROM etc however this was long time ago and ive forgten a lot lol
i want to install a new os onto my kaiser i dont like the one thats been put onto it and im missing windows live and i dunno it looks wierd
so can someone give me some links on the best rom avaible for the UK orange version of the kaiser
the rom version is : 1.81.61.2 WWE
radio version is : 1.27.12.29

Hi, I have listed the route I used to upgrade my Orange TYTN II, if you follow the steps I show on this link:

you will have a TYTN II No simlock, not bricked and fully working. thanks to the HARD SPL you are able to add any Rom or Radio you desire. the links I have added are using the ROMS i have on my TYTN II. There is also a follow up on my thread where in the event you need to return the phone original roms are available.

damn i just did what you said on the guide and payed £20 as well for the unlocking service installed everything properly new sim was working and everything now installed the kaiser software onto it and it goes simlock? whats this all bout lol
Happens sometimes with some ROMs ;-). Did you keep the mail with the unlock code?
If you got your code from imei-check, you can log in to their website and see it there.

Hi there ... i was very unhappy with the stock mda vario iv rom
so finaly i installed HardSPL and the new official HTC TOUCH PRO Rom
and its absolutly amazing .. its like a new phone finaly it works like it should do
so if u are a german user ... update and be finaly happy with your phone

2 month ago I got my new T-Mobile MDA Vario IV.
The speed of the phone was horrible so I decided to upgrade to the original HTC Rom.
After installing this ROM everything looked fine. As discribed by you I got a new phone
BUT: my GPS is not working. Google Maps doesn't work, Navigon Mobile Navigator doesn't work.
Anyone can help me
