Is there any apps that are not free trials like navigators or something?
There is a Google map app which has just been updated to include voice recognition but if you are after turn by turn navigation then Waze is another free app. Waze maps are user created and new roads and updates appear every day, not obviously as polished as Copilot or TomTom but then you cant complain when its free.

With Google Maps for PPC we're able to track our current location. But is there a way to have it constantly refresh the tracking so we can see ourselves moving? I've googled to no success.
Microsoft Live for Mobile, which is also free, and better than Google Maps, supports this.

There are lots. Be more specific if you want more specific apps.
If your a google man, then there's a perfect companion to Google maps. It's called My Tracks and made by Google (Yes, I expected it to be called Google Tracks too )
Careful on battery life though.

Instamapper - very plain but works and doesn't kill the battery.

Cool, I had no idea Latitude had the option to store history. Enabled
I have an HTC HD2 (US)
I like Google Maps, don't get me wrong, but I put my Garmin in my glove-box since installing Bing on my WM device. I don't use Bing on my computer (I am a Google Guy), but the turn by turn navigation Bing provides makes it my favorite app.
What I don't understand is why I have seen no talk about replacing the Google Map link within the contacts and replacing it with Bing. I know Google Maps is good, but it is a Windows Mobile device, and Bing is a Windows Mobile app made by Microsoft. You would just think that Bing could be setup as the map link within the contacts instead of Google.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? Are there any apps in the making that that have promise?
Google is "updating" (downgrade ) its Android maps apps and is removing the facility to store maps within the handset for use when the phone is out of range of a phone signal.
Users can still preload some local areas into the phone by carrying out searches in advance while they still have a signal, but the move may cause concern to app developers who had relied on the facility for rural mapping services.
The company has also decided to close down its "foursquare-clone", Latitude and check-ins wont be part of the new Google Maps app, and will be retired from older versions on August 9. In order to drive more traffic to its Google+ service, they had added location sharing to that instead.
Away from what is being removed, the new Google Maps app had added in local area adverts, which will be displayed whenever a user tries to carry out a search within the maps app.
They are also adding in local area traffic disruptions in select cities for when users are making use of its built-in navigation service.

Google+ has a feature called "locations" that seems to do the location tracking.

But does it do real time tracking or does it only update when you "Check In"?
I think the only thing i miss other than google pay is the location sharing feature of google maps, are there any other free alternatives out there?
