I have an HTC HD2 (US)
I like Google Maps, don't get me wrong, but I put my Garmin in my glove-box since installing Bing on my WM device. I don't use Bing on my computer (I am a Google Guy), but the turn by turn navigation Bing provides makes it my favorite app.
What I don't understand is why I have seen no talk about replacing the Google Map link within the contacts and replacing it with Bing. I know Google Maps is good, but it is a Windows Mobile device, and Bing is a Windows Mobile app made by Microsoft. You would just think that Bing could be setup as the map link within the contacts instead of Google.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? Are there any apps in the making that that have promise?

With Google Maps for PPC we're able to track our current location. But is there a way to have it constantly refresh the tracking so we can see ourselves moving? I've googled to no success.
Microsoft Live for Mobile, which is also free, and better than Google Maps, supports this.

Is there any apps that are not free trials like navigators or something?
There is a Google map app which has just been updated to include voice recognition but if you are after turn by turn navigation then Waze is another free app. Waze maps are user created and new roads and updates appear every day, not obviously as polished as Copilot or TomTom but then you cant complain when its free.
After looking for ways to get Windows live on my phone, I came across this website:
http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mobile-using
It says check my phone manufacturer's website for the Windows Live app.
I have searched all over HTC.com and have had no luck in finding it, can someone help me please? Thanks!
This any use?

Thanks for trying to help... however that is not the Windows live app.
What exactly do you want to do with "windows live" exactly?
read your email? calendar? contacts? messenger?
"Windows Live" is a set of services that Microsoft has, like Google has with Google Accounts with Gmail as the main account, and there are extra services attached with it if you want to use.
Also there is no "Live" app for Android. Microsoft barely makes any apps for Android, they're trying to push WP7.
Also like the site says, go to http://home.live.com/allservices or www.live.com on your browser phone to access those "Live" stuff.
If you live in the Windows Live world, I suggest you get a WP7 phone, it's excellent with Live services.
If you're in Google world, Android is the best for you.
Very hard to mix each other and have everything work.
I bought an HTC HD7 WP7 phone to experiment with, mess around, it's great with Live services, but I'm too much invested in Google Services, it's not very usable for me, I need my Gtalk, and Google Voice and other Google services to work.
I am not sure if I missed something in the settings or so, but I have noticed that Bing is blocking search results. I only found out while I was looking for some information about quite a famous woman here in Germany who is widely asssociated with adult content. When I tried other explicit key words, Bing kept saying "No results".
Is there a switch for that somewhere?? I find it kinda stupid to go to Google through IE or app just because the built in search function is limited by M$ imposed "morality"...
That's the reason I don't use Bing. Thankfully tmobile made Microsoft put google search as an optional default setting. I don't know why they don't let you sign into Bing and set your preferences.

Due to an oversight by Microsoft, there's no way to turn off Bing SafeSearch filter in the Bing search app.
I use the My Maps app to store my waypoints and Google Maps to navigate on my Note 4. According to all of the info I've found to read online, I should be able to share this map with someone and they should be able to open it in either My Maps or the Google Maps app. I've sent this using the Share option and the invite option, and both only allow the other person to pull them up in the mobile Google Maps web page.
There is a way to share maps, as there is a tab at the top of the app that shows maps shared with you, but man, I can't figure out how to do it. Do you guys know something I missed?
