Case + Protector

Basically i'm looking for a cheap silicone/hard shell and screen protector but I don't want it from Hong Kong as shipping from there takes way too long. Does anyone in the UK/EU sell a cheap hard/soft case and screen protector? ​

Anyone? I want to order tonight so it ships out tommorrow.

Have you checked the 8 page cases/screen protectors/accessories thread? I'm sure there must be some mentioned in there.

I think more info could be found in the other threads which are already about this; then you can decide whether to invest a heavy £2, whilst waiting for the real desire cases to get to market.

Smells really strongly of silicone though... hopefully that will die down.

Can you let me know how the DC Mugen one goes? I'm a big fan of their cases and they said they weren't going to make any so I ended up buying one from somewhere else.
I went for the Epik cases when I got my Nokia 5800 and they protected the phone amazingly. It wasn't too big on the phone and bounced well lol. Really protected the phone.
Ah. Despite buying one from another company, I'm going to get this.

i ordered one of these today to replace my nexus gel cover. it looks like an improvement, will see when it arrives

FWIW - the Nexus one case I purchased as an interim case whilst waiting on something better to come out appears to be an Epik case.
The case I got is the one with the red Nexus One badge on the back.
Cost about 3 quid off ebay...

I just ordered a Mugen Epik specifically for the Desire - I bought the TPU one.
Will give you the rundown once I've recieved it.

Anyone know if there is a totally transparent one available in this type. The only ones that I could find are for the Nexus One.
Reviews of this one (any colour!) would be good though, looks a slightly bulky in the pictures but I'm guessing it will be the same as the silcone cases.

How long did the delivery take? Any chance of pictures? The ones on eBay seem out of proportion for some reason, making the case look a bit bulky.

i ordered it on 3rd May, so just over a week. it's not bulky, it looks the same as the nexus gel cover i've been using for a month when fitted to me.
i'll see if i can sort some pics out later.
the screen protector that comes with it is one of the ones with the 2 tabs to apply, also comes with a cloth.

Thanks for that. I currently have a Nexus cover too. Think I will go ahead and order it. I did actually want a TOTALLY clear (Desire specific) case but as of yet, all those that I've seen are either tinted or coloured.

Nice one. Your pictures do the case far more justice than the ebay pics. The smoked black is starting to grown on me.
@str355: That's an actual 'hard case' isn't it? I do prefer the 'soft' ones.

Mine arrived yesterday (DC Mugen), it's a perfect fit for the Desire.
Just a tad bit annoying trying to unlock the phone, you have to press on the button harder with the skin on, and there's less of a 'feel' as to whether the button is pressed down or not.

Anyone bought one of these?

the antenna is in the bottom section of the phone, so i'd think that having a metal back wouldn't make a difference.
I think i'm gonna buy one, so i'll tell everyone how it is once it arrives

I think the GPS antenna is by the flash unit, so the case may interfere with the signal.

I've already got a silicone case, and i've ordered 2 of the cases i linked to.
Thanks anyway though, i might get one of those sometime in the future.
i'm always changing the case im using so having more than one isn't a problem.
Also are there any videos of that case in action ?

getting it on was very stiff, you had to push the on button on the top much harder than normal and after a few days the aluminium unstuck from the plastic and i thre the whole lot away...

You're talking about the aluminium one right? I bought the silicone one, seems better

My Desire HD arrives in the morning, so I've just ordered a 99p silicone jobby off ebay - really not expecting much for 99p, but it should keep it nice while I do some research into the perfect case!!
I've had a hero and it's had a silicone case on it for the last 18 months - it looks pretty much like new. So who knows, maybe 99p will be enough of an investment!

The 99p/$1AUD aren't really that bad.
I bought one for my DHD when i got it in december and it's been on it ever since, it fits perfects and has protected my phone since i put it on

i have a silicon case for mine and use it when im at work, remember the phone is an aluminium shell and a screen so its pretty well protected, i use a case to protect from scratching my pretty chocolate coloured phone

I think I found some of these on amazon if you search for "lg tmobile g2x color premium". The link doesn't say "TPU" but when you click the link it says they're TPU cases in the description and they look just like the ones on ebay.

I bought my GF one of those TPU cases for her HTC Aria in white and the thing is awesome. It adds a little girth to the phone phone nothing major. She drops the thing all the time but the phone still looks amazing.
The bad thing is that it covers up the smooth rounded screen that I love to feel.

I got this exact same case. I loved it except for the holes cut out for the volume and power. That killed it for me because that little slim piece in the front just got kinda floppy. Got the exact same case on my way to me. I ordered the lime green last week, gonna have an android theme. I will probably add some artwork to make mt g2x look like an android bot,

I got the black version of this case last week and after trying 2 other cases, this one is the best hands down.
I got mine off ebay from Mr.Shim and it took 6 days to get here from Korea.
Now if only Realook had a screen protector for this phone, I'd be really happy.
The only thing this case did was push up the Bodyguardz screen protector when I put it on because it's a pretty snug fit. Simply smoothing it back down was all I needed to do. Probably didnt help that I just had the protector put on the night before either.

I got that one too but for some reason when I got it it had flaks of sivler in it....not bad but I would of preferred solid black though.
It fits real tight kinda hard to take it off when you need to

I wouldn't mind the 2 weeks shipping as long as the case is worth it. I love the design but don't want to risk it. I might just get the spigen neo hybrid instead if nobody has any info about the brand or case.

Do a quick search and you would find that this is a quality case brand. They made cases for the s3 and iphone as well.
Most korean cases have really good quality even mercury which is the budget korean case option.
I will be getting one of these soon (red/black) version. If you don't mind waiting 2-4 weeks for me to come back with a review... hang on tight.

Korean Post is usually fantastic in their delivery speeds.
Anyway, S5 won't be out so soon, not since they announced plans for at "S4s" with the S800 processor.

I did a quick search on araree but couldnt find too many reviews, in english at least.. I do see that they made cases for the galaxy and iphone series in the past but I dont know if that can be used as a testimate to the quality of the galaxy s4 cases.

Hello, I'm interested in the Amy case, but because of the inconvenience of having it shipped from Korea I would like to see some more pictures of it before buying, if possible of the Moulin Rouge and Chic Black versions. Thanks.

I've had one for about 3 weeks now and have absolutely loved it.

What does it feel like in the hand? Is it like a matte soft touch finish? Does the case add much thickness to the device?

just bit and purchased the red/black one for 47$ on ebay via EMS shipping, link here for those interested ($31 total for free shipping). I should have it by next Weds. This is probably the prettiest case I've seen for the s4.

a tad bit of thickness. But nothing like a commuter or anything from otterbox. It's still pretty thin. The back plastic piece had a pretty smooth feel to it, but still provides a nice grip. the rubber main piece (As I call it) has more of a matte feel to it if you will imo. Provides good grip. Still waiting to be able to get pics sowy. Should have them in the morning.

So my cases showed up yesterday. Took 10 days from when they were updated saying shipped on ebay. The quality is excellent as stated earlier. My one question will be depending on how the back plastic is colored how well will it hold up to scratches. Almost feels like a painted on finish instead of a piece of plastic that is died all the way through. Thickness wise it is a hair thicker than my Spigen Neo Hybrid case. I took a ton of pictures of my girlfriends pink and teal one and my red and white one. I just need to get them posted up.
