[Request] Espresso Rosie

Hi I'm new to the incredible, just retired the Eris. I was wondering if anyone here can port the espresso rosie to the Dinc. Sorry if its been posted already. I did do a search and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance if anybody jumps on this.

On which Rom? If it is a froyo Rom, what happens when you launch the gallery app. Over on Android forums they talk about this issue and I had it as well on skyraider's 2.2

I've used it on both of Adrynalyne's 2.2 "2nd Wave ROM" as well as "FrankenROM"
So I know it works on some if not all.

Yeah Gallery crashes. I hardly use my camera so its not really a big deal for me but I'd like to know if iot gets fixed.
Wasn't a big deal till I tried to change my wallpaper. Kinda Annoying, but its almost there.

Yea, many things use the gallery... ohwell, i'm hoping that a full working version will hit soon...

So any idea as to how to change my wallpaper

Stock Gallery + Sense Gallery are working fine for me.
E: oooh, nm. Spoke too soon. Sense gallery'll load but crashes when trying to view any photos.

The gallery should work if you rotate your phone before going into the gallery. You can still choose wallpapers and contact pics fine using that work around.

The gallery crashing thing is why I abandoned it for Froyo shortly after porting it.
I deplore crashes, so I just can't tolerate it. Oh and I don't know how to fix it.
It might be easier to do now that we have s-off, but metamorph expert, I am not.

Yeah, I'd love to see this working properly. At least there's a workaround but I hate having to use a workaround just so it won't forceclose.

I wanted to bump this thread to see if there have been any updates for the Espresso Bar for Froyo that will keep it from crashing the gallery.

One note so far clockwork recovery 3.0 or higher wasn't working for me so I downgraded to 2.5 and booted it up fine

The latest version of the AndroidKitchen now will ignore source management repository directories (.cvs, .svn, .git) so I recommend fetching this repository into a WORKING_XXX directory within the kitchen. The .svn directories will automatically be removed when you do a Build (option 99).
If one of you have a Linux hosting provider with shell and cron access we can also set up a cronjob to create nightly releases automating this for us.
onicrom had written a script for me to generate these for my Warm Z nightlies that we can reuse, assuming we have a host.

edit: watching the video basically confirms nothing important works yet (not surprised)

no it won't, but i don't underestimate the talent pool here at xda... if i remember correctly, the earliest ports of froyo were pretty laggy too, now they are silky smooth in many roms

As far as I know, there were only a few widget's. I have no access to the official binary(unpatched) but all that was changed was a single byte in the entire app.
Grep'ing the widget catalog smali shows nothing about facebook(checking facebook, fbook, face, book, etc as terms).

It's a beta, I didn't write it, just felt more people should be able to test it. Hopefully the developers will watch the feedback here as well so they know too.

I believe it is not allowed to be posted in such a manner on the Play Store, so the developer is wrong to put it up as a selective beta.

My apologies, I originally signed it with cm9 platform keys which don't allow you to install it(you would have to copy into system/app)
Re-download from OP and you should be fine.

When do you get the force close? log cat?
I've only personally tested on Moto Xoom w/ OTA JB, and my Galaxy Note(CM9).
Some clipping occurs on the Note, and on the Xoom I get force closes with the widgets if I add/remove them certain ways.

It works awesome on my htc one x! But looks like its created for tablets

Yeah I installed it on my One X too lol. It looks nice, some things dont scale too well (because its made for tablets), and the lack of widgets brought me back to Nova.

[ROM][4.1.2][CM10] BG53's Unofficial CM10 Nightly

Well, this took me almost a full day to figure out, but I'd say it's worth it. I have compiled my first CM10 build, and BOY! It's running nice I'd say it's one of the smoothest ROMs I've ran. So far, I haven't had any flickering or anything on it, the Camera and Gallery works wonders. Bluetooth and Headphones are working, in call, streaming as well. I haven't tried tethering, so I don't know if that works, but I think it would.
I'm planning on maybe developing themes for this, or doing nightlies, if anybody is still interested in CM10. I like it because it is currently more stable than CM10.1.
I hope you guys enjoy this ROM and are able to give me input on how to expand my skill in developing
NEW UPDATE 1/29/13: Not sure if any changes happened. Sound for video recording seems alright in my opinion.

gapps are NOT in the ROM. I used standard 4.1 gapps and they work great. I'll find a link to put in the OP

Thanks.. just got done setting everything up seems buttery smooth on my end its fast everything is stable.I tested all the things I use on a daily basis.. YouTube works smooth as well as video playback,phone calls in and out,SMS and MMS works perfect,browsing the web is smooth,camera front and back,video camera front and back,for your first ROM all i have to say excellent job everything is working how it should fast and stable,the only thing I haven't tested is how well the battery holds up..I'm charging it right now will do a full test when fully charged

Is GPS working normally? And could we possibly get some screen shots of the Rom in the OP?

I got GPS lock in about 4 seconds. Works great. Will do screenshots in OP when I get home (like fifteen minutes).

I stopped using cm10 because I couldn't log into my USAA app... Dunno why but it was a not of a deal breaker when I was trying to check my balance... I mean I could always calland check but it just made me wonder what else want going to work when I needed it...

Well USAA has a Mobile site. I tend to like mobile bank sites better than the app counterparts. Wells Fargo always acted up on the Razr and TBolt, no matter if stock, AOSP, whatever. so I used the site more often. So just know there is an alternative to sticking to stock because of the app...

Mine works fine. In fact, I flashed the 4.2 keyboard because it's better.

I had one instance where the keyboard FCed, that happened when I tested a dirty flash. either reflash or wipe and reflash, and it should work fine. I haven't tried video recording on the ROM, but I'm going to compile a new one in a little bit, so I'll post that in a little while.

Well in case you're wondering, recording is fantastic. Very close to the volume of TW. This ROM has everything working. Also, got some nice screens of battery if anyone wants info about it.
Keep in mind my battery started at 71% when I first flashed this ROM. I can imagine a full battery would yield even better results.

On my skyrocket running cm10 my instagram doesnt like when I upload an image from gallery. As soon as I do, it constantly refreshes so slowly and I can't apply any filters or even but the next button because of the refreshing. Does the same thing if I take a picture... as soon as I take the picture and try to edit it it does the same thing. This happened in the leaked 4.1.2 and now cm10 on all nightly builds since 12/24.

You need to go into your build.prop and chane the value of "debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer" to 0. Then reboot
Or you could go to dev settings and check "diaable hw overlay". But you have to do that everytime you reboot

You'll end up performance issues you can use pixlr o matic then post it on instagram until they fix the fps issue..... An update is coming it'll fix that issue at one point

It's a Jellybean problem with every JB rom I've tried. As long as you don't move the phone when you're doing filters, it's fine. It just seems like every time the accelerometer is tripped, it reloads.

Instagram sucks anyways.

There are so many photo editing programs out there. I can kinda see there point, but there are a lot of things that are better then instagram. Such as pixlr express, or picsay. But to each his own. I don't blame them. That's what so great about android - Choice.

This fix is included in the CvD Nibbles 1.6 rom.
