rooted generic Froyo 2.2 Rom for Desire

Hi, is there a Generic 2.2 rooted rom available for the desire?? Thanks
Sorry. i have found it. please delete.
Thanks you
just adding question
is there generic 2.2 rooted rom + app2sd+ ?
the closest one to what you want is IEFtm's ROM. It only has root w/busybox, ap2sd+, OpenVPN with tun support and Wi-Fi N. It's not even deodexed so i belive it is as close to stock as possible.
If AP2SD+ is not necessary for you, you can try Paul's pre-rooted stock ROM's over at Modaco. That one only has root and nothing more (but there's version deodexed and non-deodexed)
still nobody explained what is deodexed, thanks

Can I Install Android 2.1 on the Nexus S for Development Testing?

I would like to install android 2.1 on Nexus S. Yes, you read that correctly. I want to backup my existing cyanogen 7.1 (android 2.3) install, install 2.1, create a backup of that, then be able to switch back and forth between 2.1 and 2.3 for testing android apps during development.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Do you know of any roms that might work? Any direction would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

sure that would work!
but there arent any android 2.1 nexus s roms. you would have to build your own from source, or port a 2.1 rom to the nexus s
Hmm...well then it does not look too promising for me . I have never built an android rom or ported one before. If anyone else has any other ideas I would love to hear them.
Maybe it would be possible for me to install an android 2.1 rom made for the Galaxy S?

the galaxy s rom wouldnt flash, unless you turned off the signature check in recovery. then you will probably just brick your phone.
The kernel I think would be the hard part of this.

New to rooting with this phone

I have rooted 3 phones prior to this one. I have it all set up and running Refuse 1.7. I have seen that there are a good load of roms available for the infuse 4g. Many of them say 2.3.5, etc. Is that the android version needed by the phone before installing the rom? I am on 2.2.1 and am worried about installing any other rom, than one which has froyo in the name leaving me with only 3 choices. Any help would be appreciated I want to try a miui rom or something else from here but am worried that since I have 2.2.1 when I install one that has 2.3 in its name I will brick.

No bro, the " 2.3.5" or "2.3.6" its that ROMs Android version, not the one needed to install it, still you do need a modified recovery to easily install a custom rom. I would personally recomend this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220088
as a good guide for new guys trying to install custom roms since the instructions are very detailed and hardly would give you trouble. After installing that rom you would have gathered the necessary knowledge to choose your next rom like MIUI or CM7 or another samsung Infuse rom or Samsung port to Infuse.

Rom Help

i just got a Virgin mobile LG Optimus V from a friend and i don't really want it as a phone, i would really like it as a iPod sort of thing and i'm new to rooting and flashing roms so i need help with it. i have already rooted it using gingerbreak and i would like either a 2.3 or 4.0 rom . (not really digging android 2.2) whenever i look at the forum for a rom on here the links are always broken so can someone help me maby walk me through flashing a rom and which is the best? another question. if i install a rom with either 2.3 or 4.0, will i be able to use apps that require 2.3 or 4.0?
the play market docent have alot of selection for froyo 2.2.
For flashing rom just google it
for a good rom try gingersnap by neko95
apps frm 2.3 will work as o1 is upgradable to 2.3.1 but apps for 4.0 will not work
Press THANKS IF I HELPED
You can try LeWaOS by me.. link is in the description
Ics roms have some bug's so let's try gingerbread based roms they are good.

[Q] Kernel 3.0 for 2.3.6 gingerbeard

I was wondering if it's possible to update my phone with 2.3.6 gingerbeard on latest 3.0 kernel, without bricking my device. Or maybe one dev can make a 2.3.6 rom with kernel 3.0. I'm asking that because from my all testes 2.3.6 uses less ram than other roms, and it's the best so far fot i9003. But 3.0 kernel also bring a lot of performances. Please, someone answer me. Thanks for your time!

Dont flash kernel 3.0 over a gingerbread rom or you will brick your phone!!!
its impossible to port kernel 3.0 to gingerbread!
kernel 3.0 is only for ics+ (including jellybean & kitkat)
