All roms can be flashed via the SD card once you have the bootloader upgraded, ive done heaps of them (lol sometimes as many as 3 times a day)

Moved as not ROM Development.

flashing through sd 2.0
where do i go to update the bootloader or find out how to do that

Flashing your First GSM Raphael Rom or Flashing for Raphael CDMA aka Herman
If you have a SIM card it's GSM.

[Q] SPL Downgrading with different country code?

I have an unbranded mozart 7 that needs downgrading SPL for flashing custom rom
My country code is 707, so i downloaded this one,
RUU_Mozart_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.26.707.01_5.51.09.06_22.30.50
But no matter what i do, i can never get it to flash. Always stuck on "loading..." or "loading... No image found!"
I have followed many different tutorials, tried different SD/micro SD, tried different card reader, tried different Y-cable.....
(I still havent tried partitioning a USB drive down to 1gb yet... heard that might work also)
My question is what would happen if i use another country code rom? for example
RUU_Mozart_HTC_Generic_1.20.061.03_5.50.09.18_22.24.50
or
RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_5.11.401.01_SLSPL_Signed_by_ ansar.zip
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413694)
Or can anyone provide me with a rom that they know will work for sure for downgrading??
THANKS!!! I've been trying to work this out for 2 weeks!!! Frustration!!!!
i am running out of options here.... dont know what to do
I remember i had this problem
I tried changing my Y cable and Card reader (Note that it must be only a 1-slot reader, multi readers won't work) and it worked.
But then again i used a 1GB micro sd and i used the exact correct rom for my mozart to do it (T-mobile germany)
good luck

Ive heard a bunch of different ways to fix this..all seem extremely confusing! is there anyone who has a guide or tutorial on what to do from this point? Ill even ship it to someone to fix at this point, i just want this phone to work! XDA has been an awesome community for help and support I appreciate the help beforehand! Thanks!

[Q] Dual SIM ROM in Single SIM Phone?/ SIM Not recognized

So Ive been trying this for such a long time its disgusting. The thread title is my own conclusion from my research throughout the web but I may be wrong in my conclusions.
I have a Huawei G510 since last year. As soon as I got it I rooted it and found a ROM for it. The ROM is a dual SIM ROM and I remember doing something related to a cust folder or something, but I'm not sure. Fast forward to the last few weeks, I want to update to 4.4, and I download a bunch of roms, all of them work except for 1 thing: They dont recognize my SIM Card. I go to Status in the settings and everything about the SIM is "Unknown".
I found a Lewa ROM based on JB and that one was by chance a dual SIM ROM, and guess what, its the only ROM that works. So thats how I concluded that installing a dual SIM Rom must have changed something so that it doesnt recognize my SIM anymore?
So what should I do? Thanks in advance!:good:
anyone? any help is appreciated

[Completed] [Q] Sim problems

Okay, so I recently bought a Nubia z7 max, and it came fine working, sim card worked in lte, all the bells and whistles, the version was a multilang version of the 1.64 official software, so i used the official update tool provided by to update to a 5.0 android version of their software so it would repartition my internal memory in a way that CM12 would work, it worked. All was fine and dandy until I saw a friends Nexus 5 able to dual boot(using MultiRom app from play-store) i was so jealous of him that i copied his build.prop to my phone in an attempt to make my phone think it was a nexus 5. My idiotic attempt got my phone in a boot-loop, this resulted in me flashing a 3.09 version of the nubia software on it then TWRP and finally restoring from my CM12 backup using TWRP. But i have a problem neither sim slots seem to work, i already checked and the sim card works(by putting it into another phone), and no sim works on mine. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me recover my precious phone. Thank you in advance.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Yeah, never flash or copy system files from a different device than you have. You most likely need to flash the stock firmware on your device and start over to get the sim to work again. The best place to ask how to do this is in your device specific forum. [Completed] [Q] LG G2 D800 Custom Rom not recognising sim card

Hi
I´m a little new to flashing roms etc, I have an LG G2 D800 which was on AT&T in America, here in Spain it is on the Vodafone network. I followed the procedure to flash the custom rom by Rashed97 with accompanying gapps and other zips (Supersu). Everything went well until I rebooted, during the setup procedure the operating system tells me that I can´t find or recoginse a sim card even though it is in place. I repeated the procedure but it still says there is no sim card and I´m not sure what to do, everything else wifi etc works fine. Whats the best thing to do, change to a different rom?
Thanks in advance for your help
