I have an unbranded mozart 7 that needs downgrading SPL for flashing custom rom
My country code is 707, so i downloaded this one,
RUU_Mozart_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.26.707.01_5.51.09.06_22.30.50
But no matter what i do, i can never get it to flash. Always stuck on "loading..." or "loading... No image found!"
I have followed many different tutorials, tried different SD/micro SD, tried different card reader, tried different Y-cable.....
(I still havent tried partitioning a USB drive down to 1gb yet... heard that might work also)
My question is what would happen if i use another country code rom? for example
RUU_Mozart_HTC_Generic_1.20.061.03_5.50.09.18_22.24.50
or
RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_5.11.401.01_SLSPL_Signed_by_ ansar.zip
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413694)
Or can anyone provide me with a rom that they know will work for sure for downgrading??
THANKS!!! I've been trying to work this out for 2 weeks!!! Frustration!!!!
i am running out of options here.... dont know what to do
I remember i had this problem
I tried changing my Y cable and Card reader (Note that it must be only a 1-slot reader, multi readers won't work) and it worked.
But then again i used a 1GB micro sd and i used the exact correct rom for my mozart to do it (T-mobile germany)
good luck

Is there some key generator that will allow me to unlock sim on Qtek 8310?
Thanks,
Goran
I see there is many info on this forum, but I am not sure what exactly should be used. For example, I would like to install WM6 (or even WM6.1) english edition. So, here are the questions and I wold be very gratefull if you can answer them.
1) If I use any of the articles here to update ROM, do all versions of ROM's that exist unlock sim? Or I need to unlock sim first before applying new ROM?
2) Do I need memory card in order to install WM6, since I dont have one at the moment?
3) When installing ROM, can battery weakness be a problem, or it is powered enough through USB cable?
4) When looking at the sofware list of some ROM's, I dont see Office installed. Do I need to install it separately?

1 - ROMs don't unlock the sim lock, you have to do that on your own, there's several threads related to performing this on the tornado
2 - You don't ever need a memory card to flash roms as long as you have a computer running windows
3 - You're batter needs to be at least 50 % charged to flash and should be able to last 10 minutes. Once the ROM starts to flash the phone is no longer charging and is powered only by the battery.
4 - Some ROMs have office, but most don't since using them is a bit cumbersome and they take up alot of precious space and this phone doesn't have alot of it. There are several places to get the cab file to install office if you want it, I recommend getting a storage card.
ok i have a quick question for yall, since there was alot of information to wade through i was wondering which roms can i flash through sd, the only computer that i have access unfortunately for me are mac's which are not really suited for flashing since they are not duel bootable or bootcampable. any and all suggestions are appreciated thx in advance

All roms can be flashed via the SD card once you have the bootloader upgraded, ive done heaps of them (lol sometimes as many as 3 times a day)
Moved as not ROM Development.
flashing through sd 2.0
where do i go to update the bootloader or find out how to do that
Flashing your First GSM Raphael Rom or Flashing for Raphael CDMA aka Herman
If you have a SIM card it's GSM.
Hey I have a japanese modle Htc one, with 2 sim slots and stuff..now i got the bootloader unlucked, and custom recovery flashed (i think), and also did a nandroid backup to an external SD card. now i managed to install google apps but i heared that my spesipic model doesnt work with usual ROMs, it requires a specialized ROM for 802w.
I would like to change ROM because i cant customize my blinkfeed (its all japanese) and i got some popping japanese words here and there..
So if someone could help my i will really apritiate it
thx alot
I got this e3 that i flashed 3 different stock roms, and i can't get sim card to work on any of them. With or without sim installed i get a failed check picture and i can't use sim, tho other things work just fine. I have tried a central european rom, a rom made for my counrty, but im not sure weather the sim card is from that operator the rom is made for.
I took the phone form a frined to try and fix it since it was stuck in boot loop, so i've handled that and i'm not sure how to fix this :crying:
The roms we apropriate for the model, d2203, used the both latest one and the one before.
Did you resolve this?
I found that if you run flashtool on pro mode it will allow flashing of simlock.
I don't know exactly what's that but I hope it (and google) helps you
After successfully flashing havoc os onto my s8+, I noticed that my verizon sim card had no service. I tried multiple solutions from different people on xda, but none of it worked so I wanted to see if the sim card would work with the stock ROM. I went on multiple websites in order to download the firmware to flash through ODIN, but I am not sure which one to download because they are categorized by countries. I live in the US currently (The sim card is also US-based), but the phone is from Korea (it was one of my relative's phone there) so I am not sure which firmware to download.
I would appreciate if you guys would help me on either the sim card problem or just the stock firmware issue.
Thanks.
Edit: The problem is solved. After putting my phone into recovery mode, I found the actual product name was SM-G955N, not SM-G955F.
