I cant count the number of times I have read the new release about HTC supporting BB Connect on the S710...but i just got mine and no sign...
Tried the BB Connect that works on my Dash but not luck...PIN Pending.

Whenever I hit "register now" it just goes to the homescreen really wanna get this working....
Same problem
Ciao.
I'm from Italy and I have same problem. No way to get BB Connect work on my HTC S710.
I can't find the PIN to activate it. Infact when I install the BB the phone try to connect but don'f find the PIN and stop the connection (as you told back in home page!!).
I tried to contact HTC customer service and they told me that HTC and RIM maybe will support BB Connect just with Carriers (i.e. TIM or VODAFONE in ITaly, ORANGE in France and UK, etc..). But why a lot of peaple can use BB connect with the carriers they wont and me no???? As you can see, also DOPOD ASIA support BBconnect in HTC devices!! So let's try together to find a way !!!
I really believe in this.
Thank you to everybody.
Davide.
I am guessing we are all using the BB Connect client from the s620... I think we need a new client for the S710
We will likely have to wait, just like last time
until it gets released by Dopod. They seem to get the BB Connect clients out first, and I have never seen a BB Connect client that wasn't model specific, so it will have to be a Vox variant to work on the Vox most likely. Start sniffing and asking around on Dopod boards, at least then they will know we are looking....
There will be a BBC client for the vox. This will be bbc v4, watch this space (or the ftp )

I am dying for BB Connect too, if it's 4.0 that would be awesome!!! I will ditch my dash when that comes out...
Not yet but I will do soon.
There is a full WM6 version waiting in the wings, lets hope it appears soon.

I have downloaded, the bb connect and notice that it is meant for the windows 5 platform. Although it works on the dash, i dunno whether it will work on the vox as the vox is wm 6. This is my observation from having the hermes where if the hermes is flasg to wm6 the BB connect 4 meant for WM5 doesnot work unless there is some ehex editing on the device to make it look like WM6. Any useH anybody git it to connect on the vox yet.
i am also about to rush out and buy the Vox and just want to confirm this detail before doing so, any body tried it yet?
Just got the stuff, its a dopod C500 and i can safely say that it is working and receiving email. Thank you and apology for doubting the earlier post. All i can say is yippee
I read the XML in the cab, and it says this will work for all WM 5.x versions
This applies to Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 (internal version is 5.2). So, I know this works on my Vox(Win Mobile 6), as I am downloading emails just fine with it now, but does it work on the Dash/S620, etc as well? If it does, what versions does it work on? Just Windows Mobile 6, or also Windows Mobile 5? It should work on both. Now the next question, does it work on other devices like the Samsung BlackJack(Windows Mobile 5)? This would make this the closest we have seen to a universal Blackberry Connect client! One can hope, right?
work fine also in italy by tim
is the best many thanks tp DAVIDE......
It doesn't work on Samsung i600. There is an error when installing.
I may soond noob for this one ... but
WTF is BBConnect ???

for those of you whose VPN connectivity was broken when WM switched from DUN to PAN in aku 3.3 & greater this will be good news.
I just downloaded the latest VPN client from Cisco (v5.0.00.340) and connected up my laptop just fine via IPSec over UDP using my TyTN's Internet Sharing connection.
For the record, I tested this on WM6 build 17741.0.2.1 over both USB and Bluetooth PAN connections.
another bug bites the dust....
Can you write how to use this programme for novice? When i used old wmodem ip was external, when i used IS my ip is internal. Will this tool solve my problem?

I assume you talking about my post ? Ease up neptune
Have just realised that many have asked for this and no one has posted a solution is that what you are saying. If so I will create a post that details the the setup to get the l2tp/ipsec vpn working. At this stage I have only got it working successfully with certificates. PSK gets to phase 2 auth but then falls over. I would like to get both working so I can post both solutions however I will document the certficiate solution if anyone is interested.

Hey all. I'm currently using a...trial version of anthaVPN 7.6 ...but seeing as it actually only supports WM6.1, and keeps freaking out my wifi reg settings and all, i was wondering if there are alternative VPN clients anyone knows of.
I'm kinda a noob when it comes to the whole VPN thing, having just followed the instructions from my varsity for AnthaVPN (they have instructions only for that specific software, but the settings should be "in-putable" in some other client?)
Any ideas? thanks
Help! I really need to find an openvpn client for my hd2. There are times I cannot bring my laptop with me all the time. An instance was last night, I had network downtime wherein I could not connect to my servers due to firewall restrictions. So I need an openvpn connection, but I can't find any client for HD2.
Any suggestion would be welcome.
Thanks
+1
bye
Sven
add me .
any luck? i couldn't find anything so far...
Hi,
there is a client for WiMo here and it's working on the HD2, but it needs to stop Sense. Reason is that it can only be controlled via the native WiMo GUI. So in case one can live with stopping Sense everytime you need VPN there is a solution. Of course I would prefer a program running with Sense.
bye
Sven
Greetings friends,
I currently have a Sprint branded HTC Touch Pro 2 on Boost Mobile CDMA. I have everything working, but I can't seem to get the Tom_Codon Mobile Wifi app to work.
I installed the app, located it, set my connection name and WEP. I used my son's PSP to test the connection and it is not recognized.
What can I do to fix this?
I am preparing to get an android tablet or the Blackberry Playbook. I want to have this working in advance so I won't run into any issues later.
Thanks in advance for your help...
I'm assuming you've already figured this out but if you haven't well here are the facts. Our old TP2 WinMobile can only do WEP. Since WEP is easily defeated it is not support in current new tech. Therefore tablets with Android OSes only support WPA. There are two ways to overcome. 1. Root your Tablet and make the modifications necessay. You can search here to find the answer. Or install an Android OS on your TP2. Again, in Android WPA is supported so it can be enabled to become a WPA Router. This way you won't have to root your tablet if you don't want to. What! I'm kidding! Of course we want to ROOT! LOL
the sony PSP wont work with the TP2. i have been trying for years with no luck
