I was told by the sales associate at TMobile that I was able to get android applications on the HD2 does anyone know how to do that I am totally lost and he gave me the xda-developers web address! Please help
umm don't think so. the app would have to be developed for the device. some windows apps don't even work properly on the hd2 bc of the wvga screen much less android apps. android is .apk files and windows is .cab files..then again i'm a noob but i use both android+wm and i would say no to this
im sure some1 will correct me if i'm wrong

Classic douchebag salesperson pitch. Probably nodded his head furiously didnt he...
If there wasnt such a shortage of them, I would take it back so he loses the commission on that sale, that have someone else ring you up for the same sale, lol.
But I'm just vindictive like that I guess.

In an effort to try to bring this to the attention of as many WM users as possible. I've already posted this thread to mobilitysite,ppcgeeks.com,WMexperts. So anyway I've noticed this from a few companies so I thought I would bring it up now, especially since the beejive im review for iPhone article doesnt have the comment board for it enabled so ill post my comment about it and more in a thread anyway, why the h*** would a software developer stop developing an IM program that could have such potential and leaving it buggy to the point that its nearly unusable (i cant even login without it crashing)? This is what they did to the windows mobile version and i think its really unfair; all the while the iPhone version is nice and complete and stable, how dare they do this?desgraciados!! and yeah ive already sent them an email with my piece of mind. I've also noticed this with vonage there is an iPhone and BB app for it but, no winmo version. I'm sick of these software developers leaving winmo out in the dust it is so unprofessional.Luckily for wm phones skype is better, and cheaper than vonage so this isn't an issue. any thoughts?

Well my first thought would be that this should be in another forum, not the Development and Hacking forum. Off Topic or General Discussion maybe..
To answer your question, they may have decided to stop development in favor of the iPhone version for some financial reason. Maybe they're getting more money from the iPhone App Store then they were for Windows Mobile. Also judging from the amount of applications for the iPhone, I'm assuming it's easier to develop an application for that platform. Windows Mobile on the other hand is considerably more difficult(again.. an assumption).
They could have ceased development for any number of reasons but in the end it is entirely up to the developer regardless of what the user base may think or want.
Sorry to say it but they really were perfectly within their right, as much as it sucks..
My suggestion: Stop the web-wide rant and try another Mobile Messaging client. I recommend Slick.
Moved as not software release.
& i second Slick
although i really like slick, i dont use it because it doesnt have facebook capabilities. I use palringo, but dont like it. Are there any others out there that do facebook, msn and icq?
I would use that if it had facebook and myspace integration nimbuzz im has this but I don't use that either because it kicks my internet down to 1x and keeps it there regardless of where I am. ironically microsoft makes apps for all other platforms too for example bing
More importantly than anything else, please learn how to type properly on an Internet forum instead of going into one long, un-ending sentence, without proper capitalisations. Your post nearly gave me a headache.
Secondly, you cant call it unprofessionalism. It's upto the developer. If they want to develop it, they will. If they don't then it's not something you can beat them on the head with. You could try requesting them to develop it; possibly even show them some gratuity but not demand it from them.
Honestly, I think you going around the internet across all those forums you mentioned, posting that paragraph of a sentence, is more unprofessional than anything else here.
Stop creating threads for absolutely no reason and mucking up this place.

Oh My Gosh. Please sort your sentences into paragraphs, because it's a nightmare!!!!!!!
Maybe because the demand of iPhone is higher.
And just like the earlier poster said (I just read it now), you are more un-professional then they (software developers) are. Do you have any idea what being professional is?

not possible
funny question. It was funny because I told my gf I had an app like that and I was reading her texts and she was pissed but it was funny. I had her going for about a week until I told her it was fake.
Its not possible dude
what the hell do you need a app like that for, by the way NO such app, im sure there is some cracker some where has something like that, but never available for piblic consumption!!
but come one, jsut be man and read the TXTs like everyone else, I think he is thinking theres an app kinda like airsnort or aircrack ya know to pull wep keys outta the air to crack WiFi networks
Hey, friend the app your in search of is available but only to the law enforcement. If you apply for a job at your local police department or even the fire department they will give you a free demo of the machine that will allow you to "intercept" messages of your choice from any number even your own.I will not ask why your want to spy on other because that is your own decision, have a nice day!
I don't know where your from but you should visit the Police website your state too to see if you fit their requirements, make your you don't have some kind of record because they won't trust crooks with that kind of software power!
lol dude as if you want an app like that ...if you dont trust your girl, leave her ...
and if you think she's cheating...she is
lol thats illegal in most countries, well at least to civilians
yo, all you gotta do is get her phone, (what type of phone is it?) and than you can forward the messages to your number, shell never look man, and they will still go to her handset as well, trust me, my moron ex was sending me copies of all her texts ( HENSE THE EX) pm me and i will let you know whats the deal with it.

Just hack into Echelon, it receives every message we send.
ask HAL, he knows...oh how he knows..
Maybe if your on the same network provider you could get her message centre number iv heard that works
ah...a world where you cant trust anyone....what a lovely world it is....
am i the only one with any respect for people and their privacy?
it is just possible that he wants any texts sent to his old number that he may have lost or broken the phone and simcard, but more likely a bit of spying
We're not the big brother

Ok, maybe the title is a little over the top, but does anyone else feel that this is just a crime?
Selling HD2 Android Upgrade!
I'm sure HTC probably doesn't like it. And I'm double sure the people who have worked to create the tools to do would like their share if it's going to be sold.
Just my 2 cents.
If people are stupid enough to buy it who cares...
I agree with both posters so far. See some of the prices of phones on that site? Holy ****.
Have any of the actual developers commented on this yet, or have they been made aware?
I would hope that these IP thieves get what's coming to them, but sadly they'll probably be able to carry on profiting from other peoples work.
Geeting an HD2 and play around with your own Android installation is fine.
Selling HD2 with pre-installed Android orpaid Android installing service is a violation of ethics and moral.
Those price...it is criminal!!!
I hope the authority will do something against this kind of act.

how to start an iphone unlock business
hey man, im in the same situation! I've been buying and selling iphones and i always come across crazy situations where i need to unlock the phone and id like to add this service to my business, but can't find any solid information on how its done and its preventing me from selling the phones. back in the day i knew how to manually enter the unblock codes for regular cell phones, but i can't figure out the iphone! I don't know if you download some type of software or if you jailbreak it and unlock it somehow from there and then reload the iOS back onto the phone or if you have to have a special machine to hook up to. i also need to know how to get rid of the apple id problem in iOS 7 where if someone didn't deactivate the find my iphone feature before doing a factory restore then you would have to enter an apple id before using the phone. its called activation lock and a guy wiped the phone out somehow with his computer, i believe, and successfully got it to where you can enter a new apple user ID and use the phone. PLEASE, ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS STUFF PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Everywhere people ask for help on this ive only seen replies where they get spam links that go to bogus sites that unblock for you. i dont know what im missing to do this but i know its out there because i know a guy who can do it, but im sure he'll think of me as competition because im in his local area. I am a former PC technician, but have moved toward Apple products and it astounds me at how differently they are and are a bit more difficult to figure out that i anticipated. Any help would be appreciated please!

So, a conversation came up about a local 15 year old girl that went missing today. We started talking about her cell phone and it was said that she did, in fact, have one at the time of her disappearance. Knowing all the hacks and tools that are out for Android, we'd wondered if there were any way to ping her phone with just her number. I did a search on Google and there services that you can pay for, but they say they are not guaranteed to work. Sounds sketchy to me.
But I knew that if there were anyone that would know the answer to this, it would be here. Thanks in advance.

Hi, if you give your local police department the phone number they can ring it and should be able to track it. Thats the best way as they have access to more data/tracking systems than any consumer company
