SlideIT 3.1.2.1 HD2 registered CAB! :) - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

is not appreciated by users

First, this version of SlideIT is not fully compatible with the HTC HD2. Only registered users of SlideIT get the pre-release version 4.1.0.2 (pre-released on March 10th 2010) from the developer Dasur, which is the full version and compatible with the HTC HD2.
Second, as you describe it, it sounds like a warez release to me and is surely not allowed to be uploaded here.
Third, i request to warn the topic-starter and/or ban him.

If thats so, moderator remove this topic pleas...
But anyway if you dont like it its fine...
But is it allowed to hack and crack WP7S and post it on xda? Or alot of other programs on this site? But if this is against the rules...ok please remove this topic moderator!
Thnx

It does work!
Go to "[email protected]" on the keyboard > Options > Languages tab and set primary language

Please remove the link to the installer cab file. If this version of SlideIT is really fully registered, then i can't imagine that it is allowed to be linked with this forum in any way.

it works
I confirm that it works, but it takes some getting used to,

it does not work in landshape
it crashed the phone
have delete it...

Didn't i tell you, that it is not compatible with the HTC HD2?... tzzz...
Register yourself at Dasur.co.il and pay for SlideIT. It's not that expensive, it's worth the money and the actual 4.1.0.2 pre-release is compatible with the HTC HD2.

SlideIT is fully compatible with the HTC HD2
You can all get the new version, not only registered users of SlideIT get the it.
Dasur relese tow days ago a new version 4.1.0.3 which is fully compatible with the HTC HD2.
try the demo version first, then go and buy it, it's not that expensive !!!

You can get a lot of sites in trouble by posting Warez because they can be sued/shutdown if they're not doing their utmost to remove or discourage posts like this.
Just a friendly message.

I might suggest you guys not to use this "shareware" version in case it doesn't work anyway.
Unless you'd like to spend money so that you can get a working version, I think it's better off to use simplier and free touch keyboards.... the more you save energy, the less it gets on your nerves

FWIW - I am running SlideIT 4.1.0.3 on my HD2 and it is, put quite simply - AMAZING! Blows Swype into oblivion - its far easier to use; much nicer to use & @ the current price of under $8 USD is a steal!

Is there any way to make the keys vibrate like the default keyboard?

Since we're discussing options:
-I hate it how it ALWAYS uses a SPACE after I type something. Granted, it's nice when you're typing normally, but when you're writing a word that isn't known or when you try to edit a word, it gives you spaces between the letters;
-When I'm entering a password, it automatically starts with capital letters.
So, what can I do about it?

COURAGE:-) MDAIII - Key remapping project

Hi all ...
we need some (maybe a lot) help from programmers to try to remap the hard keyboard keys from mda3.
As many guys know, we are a lot that we buy the mda3 with german hard keyboard layout... and now that we all have an english os, we must remap the key and symbols.
Any idea will be appreciated, we have all files from german os an english os.
Nobody want to broke the keyboard to glue the buttons in other place...
Nobody now how and where can order another english keyboard and replace it phisically.
Remain two thinks:
1. find the file with the layout and remap the symbols via hex edit
2. recompile a new layout (and here may be usefull for future progs)
All idea wiil be apreciated, all guru's invited
Please help us ... we can not take advantage of the new hard keyboard in this mode.
Thanks all before and...
COURAGE FOR ALL NEW POSTS THAT MUST BE UPDATED(POSTED) !!!

Actually, keys and numbers are fine. It's punctuation that is almost impossible to use unless you have a good memory
From what I remember of the old thread that got wasted, a few things were looked at but it seems harder than it should. You would think one or two files transferred from the PDA2K to the MDA III, like a keyboard dll and a mapping data file, would do the trick but, as usual with engineers, they made it harder than it should.
I can suggest another way for this remapping: just writing a kind of program lookind for keypressings and substitute them with another keystrokes.
I've already done it for Russian keyboard (project home page is http://ae.inc.ru/bahrus.html , but it is Russian only). Current state is "beta".
I can do some key remappings this way. But I need to know which of the keys should be replaced with which one. Or replacement table may be simply saved in config.
I'll do a tabel with the replaced hex value ...
You need only the xex value for this or need more ?
Thanks a lot
Denis
Let's try (before find all remapping simbol) to remap only the two letters z and y.
Symbolic constant Value (Hex) keyboard equivalent
VK_Y 59 Y key
VK_Z 5A Z key
like ... if '59' then '5A' and viceversa...
If we can remap this two letters, we can remap all we want.
Thanks a lot
Denis

Go here:

Ok, I decided to implement more general solution for this problem and develop customizable hardware key-remapping software. This application wil allow to remap not only BlueAngel built-in keyboard but almost any hardware keybord connected to wince (some of my friends use Luch or Flexis external keyboards with PDA).
Hope first beta version will appear next week.
thank you!, sure i'll be back with more questions though!
Fantastic!
I'm excited about this

Wow, that's great news. (exactly what I wanted to hear!) Keep up the good work. (you rock)
AEKMap is available at http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.html
To make "remapping" you need:
- install the program;
- run Start - Programs - AEKMap Settings and choose "AZERTY MDAIII with English ROM" in first combo box
- set three other optional layouts to "unassigned" and/or unassign "switch" key.
If you want to create specific layout, you may start with editing one of the existing. Use \Program Files\AEKMap\AEKMapScan.exe to define keyboard pseudo-scan codes.
To find unicode character codes use Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map on your desktop
This program may be closed with popup menu on system tray (lower-right corner of today screen).
And I'm definitly sure that some bugs are in this utility now. Let me know if you find them
Also send me with your layouts to be published on site (will appear in a days)
P.S.: AEKMapper may be used to remap almost any external or built-in hardware keyboard recognized by system.
AWESOME!
Thanks for doing this. If i understand correctly, what's needed now to get the German MDA III keyboard mapped correctly, following the imate english rom installation, is to:
use AEKmapscan.exe to identify all the keys that need remapping
then look up the correct unicode characters for the desired keymapping
enter them into a .AEK file and put into the Program Files/AEKMap directory on the MDA III.
If i get some free time today, that's what I'll do. If anybody beats me to it, please post!
thanks again, AE!
So here is a mostly working layout file for the MDAIII German. The only thing that seems to be not working is the semicolon/colon key just to the right of the space bar. that key seems to have no shifted mode, according to aekmapscan.exe
also: if aekmapscan.exe is running, this appears to stop the keyboard from working at all in applications. it needs to be stopped entirely.
Thanks again for this great tool!
It is always nice to know your job is needful to someone
As for the problem with semicolon: changing CapsLock/Shift processing flags should help:
HookShift 1
HookCapsLock 1
Probably I'll find a better solution for this later, but now I can't...
Official project home page will be available at http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.html
thanks for the tool, works great. Can you add an option to not have the mapping name on the bottom, i.e. DenisJ Layout? It covers up the wireless icon that I use to turn Wifi on & off.
thanks again for the app
you already can turn it off. that's the "hint" option in the settings.
A parts from thanks the great job from AE, i wan't to try to ask a question:
In the registry there's a part...
HKCU/Keyboard Layout that have a profile value..
Could it be usefull..
My German Mda3 have... preload/1 set to e0010409.
Can anyone post the english Pda2K value...
Rups..
Bug report
AEKMap works quite well, thanks to the developer!
But...
I noticed that, when AEKMap is on, you can´t adjust sound/volume levels from the external button on the left side of the screen. Is that a bug or a feature?
Second thing is that if you switch the AEKMap off, you can switch it on only by softreset. Is that ment to be?
Can anyone confirm those features, or is it just in my MDAIII?
-Jigi
Sorry guys but i just arive from my fisrt (this year) snowboard weekend
AE many many thanks from me and (as can you see) from all other guys with the same german mda3...
I just tryed some days ago to begin something like this using EVC++ 4.0 ... but it's too much to study for an as400 programmer
This will be surrely in my startup programs for a log live time of my mda3...
Surelly we will ask you some options in future ...
Another lot of thanks

Keyboard evolution

Guys it's just me or it is a fact that the progress of windows mobile is really slow?
I mean there are several versions of windows mobile, 6.0 got our before 5.0 was even running well enough (not to mention several bugs in 5.0 that were barely fixed) and I wonder: wouldn't it be better to stick to an OS version for a longer period of time and make it run really good?
I won't go into a debate mac vs pc or anything of this kind, but isn't the standard windows mobile interface a bit boring? I like the iPhone for the innovative interface and design only, or another model I've seen m8 from meizu.
Something should change, not just a fancy gradient in the titlebar and the menubar!!!!!
I have a problem with the keyboards too. The MS sip is the same since 2002 pocket pcs!!! And that is really a lot of time of using the same cra.ppy system, and forgive me for overreacting but I think entering texts is a main concern, we all use these devices mainly as communicators or for various information storage that needs to be edited, moved from a location to another an all these actions require user input...
I know there are lots of experienced users on this forum, so this is a call to all of them , I need their suggestions in what would be the best choice for a text-input software for Pocket PCs?
I was using the SPB keyboard for about 2 years now I really like it, it's just that it covers all my text (yeah, I know it's fulscreen ), and I would like to try some similar variants: concern #1 : it must have big keys or it's useless to me.
Thanks for your time, everyone!
I'm using ZTA4 SIP, it's mainly for Chinese input but also can be used for English typing.
Cheers,
Vibranze
thanks, any link for that?

Vibranze thanks for the efforts but the ZTA4 SIP DOESN'T WORK ON MY DEVICE.

Scrambit encrypted gsm calls

A few months ago I did some work for a company Liveye on a new app. I notice that today they have finally gotten a page up for that program.
www.scrambit.com
I did a lot of the back end gsm/audio stuff along with another guy who did the encryption dll and codec. The ui was done by Two guys in Itally. scrambit encrypts voice and transmits it over a csd line to allow the user to make totaly secure calls.
This is not a free program but I if you need privacy this is a good tool to have. The site is in Italian but the program itself is very easy to understand (mainly english words).
(Please don't mistake this for a paid advertisement. Since finishing this I have had little to do with Liveye and am certainly not being paid to mention it. Its more a matter of pride to have my name on the credits .)
Good if you can some out with a "Lite" or "Express" version of it for free Or do a SMS version of it?

Hello,
I'm one of Scrambit developers; the application is freely downloadable from here (without CF) or from this page (if you want the version with CF included) and you can freely test it making crypto-calls.
As I wrote in another post the application is available in many languages, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch and obviously in Italian, and the website also will be available in English within few time.
Goodbye
Caio
Looks nice
I have been chasing a software to secure my phonecalls for some while now... But most of them Bug out.
This one i can make a call, so far so good. But on the receiving end nothing seems to happen and both locks are unlocked.
So from Phone A to phone be i can iniate the call to phone B.
From phone B it will not call out.
Both phones using WM6 phone a is Niki and Phone B is a Kaiser.
I also dont understand what is CF. Do i want it or not ?
What encryption is the software using. And please write a yhelp in english.
And how much does a licence cost. And maybe increase the TRIAL 20 seconds to at least 60 seconds.
Best Regards

HTC Europe Support

I'm trying to make HTC realize they have a bug in their Touch Keyboard/XT9 but they're driving me around the bend.
1st report I made never got further than auto-generated receipt mails and then it just died - radio silence.
2nd report I made has now gone to the "beating around the bush" state; where they either try to stall it or send me info of how to almost "work around" that I have mailed them myself in the original report. They have not yet acknowledged that there's an error.
I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with the HTC Support?
Is this the normal behaviour? Has anyone gotten something out of reporting an error to them?
Just trying to figure out if I may expect something to come out of it.
That is standard behaviour for ANY IT support, of any kind
Please, IT support people, don't take offense - of course there are always exceptions and after all, my own company is in this business too The point I'm making is that this kind of evasive non-support is fast becoming the rule rather than the exception. Too bad for us, the losers, I mean the users.
hmm
As an indendent software developer (for 17 years) I can only imagine how fast I'd be out of business if I responded in this way to my customers!!
... but then, of course, I don't have places like xda-developers to "do my support for me". HTC should send kisses and "device of your pick" to these people who are so enthusiastic and helpful, cause if we imagine that HTC was the only place to go, I think people would get tired with their service pretty fast.
Besides, there are a lot of IT related companies that offer much better respons - even Microsoft is better! TomTom is better, the developers of various freeware ppc-apps are better, Oracle is better.... I could go on.
Think of it this way: In Denmark a Cruise is 4400 DKR (~ 880 USD or 587 EUR) without TomTom or anything - just out-of-the-box. I think that's quite a bit, so you don't expect to be left on "your own" if you find errors in it.
To type one Danish letter (one out three Danish letters doesn't work right because of the Touch Keyboard XT9) you need 8 tappings if you want to use word completion and the on-screen keyboard:
1. select the Touch Keyboard,
2. disable XT9,
3. return to the on-screen keyboard,
4. type the letter,
5. select the Touch Keyboard,
6+7. enable XT9 (needs 2 tappings),
8. return to the on-screen keyboard,
...continue typing until you need to type the next not-working-letter.
Google for this letter and you get 94.100.000 hits. Not entirely irrelevant and I call it an error.
Another experience with HTC Support
I was asking HTC which files to use on the HTC Application CD delivered with the phone. There are two files seemingly related to backup: P3650_BackupTool_5.1.0.b1450_HTC_WWE_20071102.exe and SpriteBackupEnglishPersonalSetup.exe file.
It doesn't say in the manual which one, but just: "Insert the Application Disc on your computer's CD or DVD drive and install Sprite Backup to your device".
The answer from HTC is, quote: "Many tanks for contact us. To respond about your query, I am so sorry but we do not support this informations, you have to ask at the official web site of sprite backup"
I wonder how much Sprite knows about the HTC Cd....
I have never during 25 years in software business encountered such bad support from any company! I'm beginning to doubt if the people who receive support mails understand much English.

It still can´t be activated. Every attempt to edit text starts the activation page.
Reported already in the first thread to this Beta here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978132
btw: also this beta version can be uninstalled completely by OS-Routine.
Is it possible to use the language-pack from 4.1.0.3?
Is there a change-log anywhere?
EDIT: Same problem to me - it does not accept the activation code of 4.1.0.3 (do I need a new one?) and Button "Run as Demo" does not work, too...
Best regards,
Cluni
Thank you for the updated beta. It's great to see some of the issues fixed. I still have the activation screen popping up at different times. It occurs on my Rhodium (with physical keyboard) when I pull out the keyboard to change to landscape, even if there is no text input box on the screen. It does not happen all of the time, but sometimes causes my device to not respond for some time (30 seconds or so).
This might be a discouraging point to people using the keyboard as a trial before they decide to buy it or not. It might be better to just have the nag screen show every 10 times (just an example) the SIP keyboard is deployed.
Language packs
New language packs for the beta version are at http://mobiletextinput.com/Product/SlideIT/WindowsMobile/LanguagePacksBeta.php
Please test them and tell us if they work for you.
Tried the new Beta --- much better! New version is more responsive, and key presses are more accurate. Thanks also for limiting the number of times the Activation Code message pops up.
Only one issue now for me is that, occasionally, when I start up the keyboard, I can touch several keys, and get no input. Each key lights up with a blue dot and a short blue line (as though the keyboard thinks I'm sliding instead of just pressing keys). Other than that, very nice keyboard.
