Htc tytn 2 making a hissing noise - General Topics

Hi thank you for having me here on your forum as i am new, im a well know member on rcr but not on anyothers.
My problem i have had this phone for around 1 year when purchased from a friends nanna as it was to complicated for her to use, 2months after i got it the lcd and digitizer broke so yesterday i recieved my new shiney screen and i fitted it works perfect except the following problems can anyone help me thank you as i dont see anyother with the same problems.
HTC TYTN 2 Running wm6.1 and tomtom 6
Problems:
1. When i dial a number i.e. dad its fine untill i end the call as soon a I hang up there is a constant hissing noise untill i do a soft reset.
2. Sometimes after a soft reset there are no sounds from the phone untill i do a soft reset again
3. When i open the camera there is just a blank black screen (this isnt a new problem its always happened)
If anyone can help me i will be so greatfull and i will help as much as possiable if anyone wants help with anything.

lost sound through external speaker

Hi,
after using tomtom for a week, the voice directions began to get very crackly, and then pretty much disappeared. Now, there's no sound at all ... no ring tones etc. I've done a hard rest, but no luck.
Any ideas on what I can do?

i had this happen on my wifes prophet, turns out the headphone jack has some issues on the phone (needs replacing). there is a few threads about it, the one above doesnt help if this is the case.
Had this problem on my XDA neo 3 times and always send it back for repair, after the third time o2 exchanged my neo for a terra (HTC Herald, a Prophet with hardware keyboard)

if device cool down (not active) (empty or no battery) for 30 min scree will work agein for 5 - 10 min but slowly loss sensetivity agein
It start hapen sudenly after 1-2 month since i bought it
i bought the device in Russia it not officealy sold here so th only warenty i have is one Plam give to all of it devices but i wont be able to use it untill i go back to UK
I bought second device (750 as well) i had it for 3-4 monthes it works great
no problems waiting for WM6 for Unlocked Treo 750
but i still have the first treo 750 with Fu**d Up screen which sit in the box waiting till i go to UK
do u think these is software or hardware issue ?
may WM6 fix it ?
may two devices have two difrent Hardware versions the good one got hardware version "A"
Brocken screen one got "P"
any sugestions whot cen be done ?

Tried hard-reset, no luck. Ended up returning the device for a swap-out.
I had the same problem. Called yesterday and got replacement from ATT today. I've dome some research, it appears to be a common issue with this model, or as Vladimir and I would call it - PIZDETS.
Well, what can I say? We have to hope that Palm will eventually fix it...

I do a hard reset yesterday at my Treo 750 ---> No calibration and no response.
2h no work, it work, then after 5min tipping no work...whats that.
I buy a quality Palm????? HTC Greetings like TYTN and Trinity?
1) No ringtone
2) No response at tiping on screen
Interesting is:
- No response on the screen by tiping, but the light at the Keyboard shows tiping
- Cold=OK, warm= not OK
Send back to amazon and want a new one... hope it works

Touchscreen periodically stops working!

My Treo 750 (WM5) from ATT touchscreen periodically stops working... I just got it a few months ago. After a soft/hard restart, the touchscreen will work for one click then stop working.
When the screen is dim, and I touch it; it lights up and becomes bright again. So it's responding to touch... just not when i select any buttons, etc.
I tried the align screen, but it can't get pass the first cross hair... so I have to do a soft restart.
All I've installed is Microsoft Live, Google Maps, Good Messaging, and the HSPDA hack.
It was working with all of those apps without any changes for about a month.
Any ideas why the touchscreen stops working?
I would like to upgrade to WM6... but I am afraid that if it's broken and I bring it back to ATT they'll say it was because of the unoffical WM6. Is there a way to backup my WM5 and upgrade to WM6?
I have the same problem with my Treo 750 "German Version". The Hotline from Palm was very competent and I send the Treo to repair. After the repair it works fine. I think the best way is send it to reparation

I have had exactly the same issues on two units, the first one was replaced in the first month return to base policy.
The second one was replaced after some discussions with Palm technical support, they asked me to Hard reset etc. with no resolution to the problem, so they instantly offered a replacement.
The replacement from Palm has been fantastic, it was 1.16-RWE, and is now 2.23-RWE., so I ended up with a non-branded phone as well.
And same here too. At 3 weeks, my new Treo, started to not respond intermittently. A few days later, the touchscreen failed completely and I ended up with keyboard input/navigation only. Service provider sent me a new unit (as failure was within their 30 replacement period). Now I'm on day 15 of my second 30-days and hoping this one will be OK.
I had the same issue few months back when I first got mine. Did some search and saw several others have the same problem. Exchanged it for another one and has been working fine.
I believe it was some type of hardware issue. If you let your Treo sit powered off, it will come back for a life, but only long enough for it to "warm up."
hi can you guys tell me how to contact AT & T for replacement? what's the number to call and how would i know if it's till under warranty? please let me know how.. i have a cingular unit, unlocked. I'm in the Philippines right now. please help me, I am very frustrated right now since i cant get my touch screen to work.

I just sent an email to palm, in Australia, they replaced the unit.
Just go to your counties palm web site and look under support.
Replacement is the only fix I think. Mine has been working great since it was replaced.

HTC Touch Diamond Display Problem

Hi all,
I am Using HTC Touch Diamong since a year.
Using Dutty's ROM It was working and is stable.
Now My HTC got problem in display and I even can not use it. It can receive calls and can dial but because I can't not anything on screen some time. and some time can see just for 2 or 3 minutes and then display problem occurs.
Its hard to explain so I attached a screen shot and a small video which can show the real problem.
Kindly help me to know whether its a hardware problem or software.
and how to fix it.

Omnia Internal Gsm Antenna - Help Needed

Hi guys,
The story started before 1 week when happily i decided to buy a full housing spare parts for my omnia and hopefully it should looks like new...the package came and i opened my omnia to change the parts...the cover didnt fit 100% but with some small patents finally it fitted...the phone booted up and everything looked "ok"...the next day i realized that call quality was too low, sometimes call dropped(cause of the too low signal) and inside building i have no signal...
Now guys does anyone knows anything about that?
where is the phone gsm transmitter and it cables?
or what else can i do...
Please your the only help i can have...
