Hey there,
I want to ask about something so particular here.
So, my network provider gives a free 5 minutes service of international phone call after 2 minutes. I really want to make a good use of this service, so I have this idea in my mind that I have to cut the phone call before 7th minute.
So, is there any software that can do this? Assume that it will cut the phone call I made to a SPECIFIC number after the CALL DURATION is 6 minutes and 59 seconds?
it goes like this scheme:
if PHONE NUMBER is +XXXXX
then
if CALL DURATION = 6m 59s then DISCONNECT
else normal
else
normal
thx before,
sorry for my bad English
hmmm,,,anyone?

I have been looking for a way to be able to greatly reduce my cell phone bill. I did a search on Youtube and found this video which explains how to make pretty close to free calls anywhere in the world.

You put this device on your network at home and then you can call it with your mobile phone and it gives you a dial tone!!! It then proceeds to use VOIP or something to call whatever number you want. There is a small charge per minute like .02 cents in the USA. But the device costs $200!!! Has anyone had any experience with this or have another way to make calls for free.
Years ago, I used to have my analog cell phone call a certain number and it would call me back with a dial tone where i could dial out for cheap.
There has to be a way to call your computer and use your home phone to either call you back with a dial tone or do a three way call and conference you in to who you need to call.
I have Sprint, so, if I could say, have an automated text message i can send my computer which has the number i need to call. My computer would then call me back and wheni answer, it would conference me into the number i texted it
OR maybe i can call my computer and let it ring twice so my computer can recognize my caller id. Then i can hang up and wait for the Incoming phone call which then would let me dial any number needed. Maybe when i was finished with the first call and needed to make a new call, instead of doing the procedure again, i could hit the Pound# button and it would reset ready for me to dial again.
Sorry to rant, I guess i could have spent hours arranging my thoughts in a more precise manor... Any ideas peeps...... i hate sending Sprint $120 a month!!!!
Then make your own Wireless Phone Company, and stop complaining about the best carrier that has the most bang for your buck?
Cheapskates....
Call during nights and weekends, if you have a phone, you're going to have a bill. If you want to use the network/wifi phone, well it's a totally different plan. If it was that simple to make our phones do that, carriers wouldn't make their money.
Corrykid, I hope your Sprint stock options are doing well! Why dont you go flame the gps forums for trying to get GPS for free.... Aren't you the guy who showed everyone how to get unlimited laptop internet access? Why not pay Sprint for their WIFI adapter? CHEAPSKATE...
Ok, Check out this idea....
Scenario:
Assume the following:
Free calls to home mobile plan
VOIP home phone (Vonage free long distance unlimited calling)
Computer with modem
Application:
A person wants to call 404-555-3232
He would Call "home" number using mobile phone.
His Computer's Modem answers phone
He then enters 404-555-3232 on mobile
Computer "flashes the line" calls 404-555-3232 then flashes again to do a three way call
Result:
Person with free calls to home is not charged mobile minutes to call 404-555-3232
Problem:
How to get a modem to do this
hi friends
i baught imate jasjam yesterday, in the device information call duration is 17 hours incoming and 21 hours outgoing, seller told me he updated the rom from web therefore call duration timing has changed otherwise its a new mobile.
and now i have installed the latest rom 3.62, but call duration timing is same 17 hours incoming and 21 hours outgoing
i am really confused now whether to check it is a new mobile or a used?? can anybody tell me in detail pls, thanks alot in advance
My guess is that, this is not some thing to do with the rom. If you have another sim card (with different phone number) try to change the sim and see if you see this same call duration. I guess this is comming from your service provider. I may be wrong.
I never thought about it, but it could be possible that the call timer is linked to the sim. However, my inclination is that the phone is used. Maybe he kept the phone really well, or he bought a new casing before selling it.
in this case is simple, this device is used.
WM shows the information of all the calls independly the SIM card you use.
regards,
I thought it is relatively possible to reset the call timer!!! (although I don't know how) Possibly that your seller has forgotten and/or didn't expect you to be expert enough to check that...
IS there a simple outgoing call counter/timer that I can use? I just want to compute the total outgoing call time per month. I have a plan that gives me 150 minutes each month and I don't want to use more than that.
i have this:
http://oldsap.blogspot.com/2008/01/call-logs.html
but the detailed outgoing call logs are for Philippines use, for now, so your calls might show in the "Others" portion.
this is what I have been looking for, but there are some things that must be fixed before this is really useful. First I don't understand the difference between the numbers "Other" and "Mins". Second, this tool doesn't consider a time interval. It simply adds up all the outgoing calls. I need something that reports only the last month's calls. For example, if today is 7th of March, then it should report the calls between 1st of March and 7th of March. Finally, a configuration option would be awesome. So, we could set our own operators. I hope you improve this little tool and it will become a very useful little gadget for all of us.
ok i'll work on that. i'll recode the application to allow the user to add up total calls for a range of dates first then we'll go from there []
Thank you for considering these changes. Another possible feature would be a rounding feature. For example, some operators count 1 sec to 60 seconds as 1 minute. My operator counts 1 sec to 6 secs as 6 secs. So, my call times are always rounded up to the closest multiple of 6 seconds.

Maybe I've overlooked this option several time or something but when someone is calling me I have around 10 second to answer it or the phone call will be rejected (callee is notified as I'm busy). The time to answer varies based on the ring I'm using. Is there any way to fix that? Do I miss something or what? Call forwarding is off.

Typically, this is controlled by your mobile operator - the phone can modify it, but typically allows ringing for much longer.
I presume the ringtones you're using are longer than 10 seconds? Nothing else obvious comes to mind.
When I use the longest possible, which is ~30sec they are being played just once. When using shorter ones they are repeated once. And that all. You're saying operator this timing - I'll check that too. Thanks
Well, if it's rolling over to voicemail early, that's probably the operator; voicemail isn't controlled by the phone. The phone can signal "I'm not going to answer this" which the operator usually handles by going to voicemail, but I can't think of any reason the phone would do somehting liek that so quickly.
I use regular phone for work(not smart, just to call and send messages).
When someone call me, or i call someone, it happens that phone turn off. It not happens every time, but lets say its 4 or 5 of 10 times. I think that every time it happens more and more often.
Do someone have ideas it is possible to repair this?
