i have recently upgraded my HD2 to an Energy ROM which is amazing.
it runs alot smoother and faster not to mention it looks great!
------------------------
my only two problems is two tweaks i do not like:
1. New messaging look
2. New active call look
------------------------
Energy ROM today screen and lock screen.

Energy ROM messaging screen and dialler.
-----------------------
i would very much appreciate it if anyone could develop or give me information on how to restore these two bits to the ones from the stock ROM, or if there is any cabs floating about on xda that do this, please tell me!!!
can anyone help?
please i don't like this new messaging layout!!!
suggest you post this in the actual rom thread!
Have you tried switching from classic mode to threaded in the messaging app?
ardsar, i will take your advice and post this in the ROM thread.
also i have tried tweaking the messaging options in both BsB Tweaks and also in advanced config, neither of these returns it to stock so the only way i can think to return to stock and also retain the rest of the energy rom features is to have an extracted cab for messaging.

There are a lot of nice progrmas developed on this forum, very useful.
Thanks to the programmers.
The problem however is. You don't know anymore what to use.
I.e.
I am currently using"WkTASK"working on a translation for it. It got everthing you need for a taskmanager. It even has a launcher.
I also found "Quickmenu"it also has a taskmanager, very nice but what taskmanager to use now? I mean since I am again using the Prophet again I only have 64MB of memory to use.
I also use the "BatteryStatus/overclock "plugin, and it also has a taskmanger build-in So basically I have three to use from. awesome skins see post three!

Maybe "Menneisyss" has to review some of these, or maybe he already did?
I just gonna play with them to see what is best to use.
Meanwhile I found out that the best taskmanager is "WkTASK", a lot of options. I'll keep on using this.
"BatteryStatus"plugin is great for displaying the status of the battery, wifi, free space and overclocking features. And check out that skin in post #3
"Quickmenu"is great for the cascade menu's, and for that it is fully configurable.Though it also has a "x"to close program and a battery gauge.Which I switch off by now
So that's the way I will use it for now. Waiting until the "Ultimate
Plugin"is will be released, which combines everthing of the above in one!
Do you have any "musthave" to recommend? I don't think I need more taskmanagers now
I looked through alot of post about the iphone app and couldn't find what I was looking for. I dont want all the icons on my phone just the 4 buttons at the bottom (messages, phone calls, ipod etc... ) i downloaded the file for the iphone but it just wasn't what I wanted. I also have the htc home plugin. Thanks in advance.

i dont really understand... are you looking for the images or the application ? or both ?
do you have the images ? if yes, post them to this thread. should be wicked easy to port to the (i think its called quick links) application.
also, do those icons change ? i.e. if you have 1 text mes it would show the icon with a 1 ? that would require lots of png files im thinking. (im often wrong )
also, try downloading the htc home customizer..they have allready made the icons etc
i did this on dutty 7b and it was great
As you said you have HTC home so all you need to get is HTC home customizer and it has the iphone icons you are looking for and much more.

I've noticed in ROMs such as those made by dutty often have the tab backgrounds removed in favour of a plain black one. Does anyone know of or could make a cab which restores the background found in the stock ROMs (not bg4all which displays your wallpaper on all tabs). Thanks in advance
Ooh, yes please for me as well.
This would be quite helpful for me, sorry as this is my first post, it may seem fishy, but ive been a lurker on XDA until now

nope, its got the smoother gradient like in the other wallpaper. =/
like there
See this one is't the one you looking for
well yeah but in the stock ROM's it is the background for all the tabs except the home one. In the dutty one it has been removed so all the tabs have a black background.
you have to use BG4all cab

sorry thats not quite what i need, that enables the same wallpaper for all tabs (the one you select) whereas in the stock ROMs it has the gradient one on the music tabs etc, whilst still having your own custom one on the home tab.
I'll try and explain better:
stock ROM: http://smartphoneblogging.com/wp-co...sense-screenshots/hd2_htc_sense_music_tab.jpg
dutty ROM: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/7610/20100604120205am.jpg
Sorry man maybe some one he can help you with this.
Lately, I've been noticing that with the newer ROMs I flash, less and less of them support modding the Start Menu. I can't tell what's causing it, if it's newer builds, newer Sense versions, a piece of software somewhere, the different ROMs themselves? Anyone care to enlighten me?
I've been trying to use Nickshot's WinPhone7/Metro Start Menu Mod, which I absolutely love, and it works sporadically. However, I've tried going from three to four columns, and that doesn't work either...
ROM Link in the signiture...

ehm do you mean that mod which is shown on the picture with 3 or 4 columns?
Yeah Start Menu Mods wont work on my LG GM750 either
My 2 Cents
I have found that this mod does work on some, but not all the roms based on the most current builds. It seems to depend on what is cooked into the individual rom or possibly some customizations cause this mod to fail. most of the mod creators suggest you remove any other mods that affect the same functional area to avoid mod conflicts. (This is based on observation on my TP2 & HD2.
Cheers

Moved as not theme release.
First of all: I did not make this myself!
Found this a while ago for the DjDroid Android 2.2 Release packed together with WiFi-N Driver and some other stuff.
I just repacked this, so only the Circle-Battery is installed without the other stuff around.
All Credits to the developer (name not known)!
This should work on odexed and de-odexed ROM's afaik.
Of course, you see the amount of battery remaining in percent in the middle of the circle.
EDIT:
Sorry for the trouble at the moment. Seems like the Update forces you, to reenter the Mobile-Network APN Settings. I will try to fix this

I just installed it though, and I appear to have now lost my HDSPA icon. Instead I get a picture of a phone with 5 bars underneath it?
Hi debug77,
would be helpful, if you could post a screenshot of this. Please let me know, what kind of ROM you got running, perhaps I can help you with another file fitting for your ROM
