Which "must-haves"to get? - General Topics

There are a lot of nice progrmas developed on this forum, very useful.
Thanks to the programmers.
The problem however is. You don't know anymore what to use.
I.e.
I am currently using"WkTASK"working on a translation for it. It got everthing you need for a taskmanager. It even has a launcher.
I also found "Quickmenu"it also has a taskmanager, very nice but what taskmanager to use now? I mean since I am again using the Prophet again I only have 64MB of memory to use.
I also use the "BatteryStatus/overclock "plugin, and it also has a taskmanger build-in So basically I have three to use from. awesome skins see post three!

}
Maybe "Menneisyss" has to review some of these, or maybe he already did?
I just gonna play with them to see what is best to use.
Meanwhile I found out that the best taskmanager is "WkTASK", a lot of options. I'll keep on using this.
"BatteryStatus"plugin is great for displaying the status of the battery, wifi, free space and overclocking features. And check out that skin in post #3
"Quickmenu"is great for the cascade menu's, and for that it is fully configurable.Though it also has a "x"to close program and a battery gauge.Which I switch off by now
So that's the way I will use it for now. Waiting until the "Ultimate
Plugin"is will be released, which combines everthing of the above in one!
Do you have any "musthave" to recommend? I don't think I need more taskmanagers now

well .. i just saw it
don't embarrass me !
Lol just having a bit of fun mate, dont take it seriously!
Been using this for more than a month now... absolute gorgeous and plays exceptional well with S2 series and new icontact.
Highly recommended.
1.02 was so much better in every way....
I still use it since like.. january!
awesome app, just a sad evolution to 1.5....
I guess it depends on phone/rom etc.
1.02 locked up everytime I use the currently running function which forced me to use another task manager.
1.02 also gets closed by the "OK" button when I used HButton + HTC x-button.
These two are the major annoyances which stopped me from using 1.02.
1.51 has all that fixed and the built-in contacts is also kinda cool.
I think the earlier version was much better looking
.... and it doesn't work on my G900 (which has a high res screen (800x480(?)).

New look for the internet tab

Hey,
I was browsing through different roms for other mobile phones which are also using Manila and I found the Onyx Rom for the HTC Touch and there, the internet tab looks pretty awesome, also the list view of the favorits is kind of nice. Is there a possiblitiy to change it at the HD2 too? A much more nicer world etc.?

The thing about that is the Internet Tab you see is for Manilla 2.1 if I remember correctly (been so long since I have used it) and 2.5 has the style that we use. To be honest I like that style too.

Which Android Bootloader?

Okay chaps and chappesss I am gearing up for my foray into the Android dual-boot wilderness and trying to get stuff sorted.
Whilst still trying to finalise the Android build I wish to use I wanted to clarify BootLoader.
I know of:
-JMZ (the free v4 one!)
-Exceller
-mkskip's
I know with the JMZ I can also use to install Android on first use.
Do the other 2 do that as well?
Does any one offer an advantage in terms of battery life over the other 2 (in the way they load android relative to extent of WinMo still active underneath - if you get what I mean?)
Any major reasons or other features to suggest one over the other?
I like the idea of having a WinMo button to load into Android as per mksip rather than having to power-off and select on start-up (don't know if Exceller does that as well though )
Any others I should consider instead?
Thanks
this is my favorite one

How to add icons to taskbar

I have space for atleast another 4 items/icons in the taskbar. Is there a way to add them in?
Im not really bothered about adding program shortcuts in there... rather live features (like the remaining battery power, signal strength stuff like that which are already on).
Ive done a search but inconclusive.
cheers
i have never seen anyone add items really. so don't know any tutorials out thee. i have installed programs, pocketwit, that seemed to do it....maybe contact them? (or they used part of the taskbar normally silent.)
to mod it (which may give you clues):

window mobile on android

hello
I saw that: window mobile app for android on the market
(I cannot post links...)
question: does someone know where I could find a beta version ?
send me a message
Never heard about that I'm gonna check it soon
Are you refering to a windows phone 7 ui/home replacement?
*Example*
I have tried the above one and it's pretty neat. Not able to replace adw ex just yet but have enjoyed following Timo's updates and improvements. And there are a couple of others that I have not tried on the market as well. Not sure if any of the other ones have widget support like the one I linked does.
good day.
not a design like window...
it says : window mobile(dos 1) on your android, it seems to be a recent app on the market.
In the mean time, i dont find it anymore..but there is still this one:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
is it a rip-off ?
im sorry im a newbie, i cannot put a link
Ohhh! lol. You mean this https://market.android.com/details?id=com.u100active027&feature=search_result
Hmmm, no comments yet.
good day.
lol yes, but it's very weird, cos 4 hours ago, it was Windows Mobile and now it is this one...I have a big doubt now.
