Hello it's been a while that I have installed Windows phone 7 on my HD2.. (the first release from DFT I think)
But, atm I can't use at work to connect to the wifi because my MAC Adress always change...
So I wanted to put back Android but without uninstall anything.
I don't want to loose my data/config/activation from my wp7, I just want to install android in dual boot.
Anyone have successfully installed Android after WP7 but without reinstalling both?
Sorry for my english...
I have post in this thread because isn't only about HD2.
I think that you will find that the vast majority of users in this forum have WP7 handsets and so will not be able to assist you.
Logic dictates that you will have more luck in the HD2/Leo forums as the members there actually own the handset in question.
Kind Regards,
Creamy
yes, thanks for the answer, but I don't want to post twice (maybe an admin will move this?) and it can be for any wp7 device.
If anyone want to install an android system he has to reset their phone, format the partition and then loose all data/installed programs from windows phone...
Isn't specific to HD2, so I hope anyone has got the same problem as I have

Actually, this is a question ONLY for the HD2. Android cannot be installed on a WP7 handset (yet). So you are much better off posting in the HD2 forums.
Yeah, the hd2 is, generally, one of the most beastly phones to ever exist. You can even run older versions of windows, and newer versions of nonmobile Linux distros on it!!

Hope this helps, it did for me, also all the tool links are there too, I have mine running and even have TS3 full version, working on my Android side.
I do have a feeling though, that you will need to reset your win 7 side, as you will need to create and format your sd card for it to work, unless you are able to do this without the phone, then you could create the partition, but then you still need both partitions, as your win phone 7 side, will need storage space.
You will have to follow the guide to the letter, I did mine a few days ago and all is sweet, my android side is different to whats in the guide, but at least it is listed what i am running in my siggy.Best of luck and message if you need help.
More help to you, I hope.

Just a note, I actually cloned my storage on the sd card for the hd2, before I went about reinstalling, I was able to create the sd partitions for wp7 and android, then I copied the windows one back over, that way I saved all my downloaded apps.
If you are not sure about this, then you will have to bite the bullet and just wipe and reinstall, just take a note of things before you do.
You will be able to reactivate the phone by calling microboffs, via chat help, thats what I did, they gave me a key, straight away for free.....
ups didn't know we can't install from another wp device... so if an admin can move the topic...
hm, I'll try promethieus...
I'll try to backup the sd data then we will see... but didn't think it will works
Hello there
I bought htc hd2 second hand with windows 6.5 installed on it, but i did not like it so i followed some tutorial here in how to install android. i did that and i never been happier, however i was surprised when i run out of buttery and my device shutdown then recharge it and turn it on there was windows again and i had to do all the process again to lunch android system which drove me crazy because all the app's i already downloaded and installed on SD card were not working any more ...
So i have a few questions hopefully someone can help:
1. Is there any way i can uninstall windows from my HTC HD2 permanently and replace it with Android ?
2. If not How can i help my app's from getting lost?
3. what is the best way to back up my files and data before doing any thing new to my device?
4. since i am new to this system can any one explain to me what is the different between android, mglader and nand ? and what is latest version of Android?
I have a HTC HD2 windows phone.
I wanted to be able to use android apps on it i looked about and saw rundroid but not sure on what else i need to get it to work this will enable me to boot to both windows or android.
I downloaded it and followed to instructions but did not fully work, i think because i need to have a version of the android software on my SD card
I downloaded 2.3.3 gingerbread but still did not work, might not have it in the correct place or file extension ?
can someone tell me what version of android i should use and where i can D.L it from, and where it needs to be on my phone for the rundroid software to work fully.
thanks
I installed the Cyanogenmod Windows tool under Win7 and Win8.1. Installation will proceed and there comes a message that the program can now be used. But I find nowhere in the system a bit to start it.
In CCleaner, it is listed, also in the Control Panel under Programs and Features. The Start menu is not available and also in the installation directories, I find nothing. I also get no result when searching for 'cm installer'.
I have tried this on two different computers. Once with Win7 b4bit VS, and once Win8.1 64bit VS .. In both cases the same result.
Can anyone help me?
Tanks in advance,
Dag

Before you're gonna change your devices operating system you should at least be able to install android without the help af any automated installers. Otherwise its like you're ... if something goes wrong!!!
Hello everyone! I have bought a old Samsung Galaxy S from my friend for $20 recently, and I have rooted it, but I can't install NetSpofer. Is there any way I can maybe upgrade it to KitKat so that way I can run it? By the way, I can also maybe try SideLoading it or maybe putting in a sd card when I get home. Should I try putting the .apk file on the sd card, then opening it? I can't use the Unknown Sources option because it is not there as it is because of AT&T. I have a Mac, Linux, and PC, and i'm just getting started with Android, so give me some slack because I am a noob. Thanks so much!

Ok. So I have supposivly changed my settings.db file in the install -non-market-apps area to 1, but when I try to open the networkspoofer apk, it says parase error. Is there a fix to this? I cant sideload this eaity because it give me an error saying its an older sdk.
