Bootloader issue - HTC Vox

Phone is an E650 from orange
Complete newbie, i have been trawling xda-dev for 2 days and trying various solutions but im stuck, the phone is stuck at the red green blue screen, i have tried the hard reset and even managed to connect using the mtty software, the phone wont connect to active sync nor will it do anything else, i have flashed the phone several times and still the same dam screen its really annoying now, mem card removed still same issue, any help greatful

Did you search the forum already? Are you aware of the specialties attached to upgrading an Orange device? Did you follow the ROM (which?) specific descriptions?
To get support you should take the time to describe in detail where you started, what you did and where it failed. The end-result (RGB screen) can be reached by many paths.
The only way out for you is to re-load an Orange E650 Build and restart.

Is my S200 beyond repair?

After I tried to upgrade the rom to WM6, my JAMin got stuck at bootloader. After that, I tried to flash WM5 roms without success and suddenly (after a reset) the screen became white with some horizontal and vertical lines constantly moving. I discovered that it was only the screen that was garbled as it still connected to PC, so I installed (without seeing anything on my JAMin) the NVID ROM trying to restore it. It installed sucessfully, but the screen remained garbled with the white background and random lines. I know it was sucessfully installed because I heard the typical "welcome" sound before configuration.
Do you know any way to restore the screen? Or must I send it to I-Mate to repair?
You can try and reattach the screen cable to the rest of the device, but this will boid any warranty you have, and may damage your device further. If the device is under warranty, I would suggest flashing the ROM the device came with (unfortunately the FTP server is down at the moment, so it might take some fishing around for) and sending the device back to get repaired properly.

Hi frd,
I have exactly the same problem!
Nothing , only the f*** white screen!
I can browse the device via active sync, can rcv calls but the white screen.
I have checked the ribbon connector of the LCD and make reflashing some ROMs but nothing.
I still wondering is it hardware or software problem!
Please let me know if you have progress!
Thanks
G.
Try to replace LCD module, I think thats right way.
It will be a hard ware problem. Probably the ribbon cable as the screen is showing something so it must be working at least a bit.
Hello,
i have the same Problem with my QTEK S200.
First i changed the Rom and it worked perfectly for two days.
Then i had to change my Sim card and after that the problem came again.
I tryed a lot of times to reflash the rom but the problem persist.
How can it be that it worked again for some days ?!
is it the touchscreen of the lcd unit i have to replace ?
is it possible to do it by my self ?
thanks for your help !
Hi everyone.
I had a similar problem an hour ago (Qtek S200 G3):
I Upgraded to a 6.1 rom and then to another, after that my device was stuck in bootloader(3 colour screen). Any 6.1 rom that I tried would install, but after installation device always boot in to the 3 colour screen.
I tried this original shipped rom http://files.mail.ru/HZUAH1 (it's WorldWidwEnglish) (to download just click the link "скачать" or the file name RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
) and it installed!!! It TAKES A WHILE TO INSTALL!!! But it worked!!!
May want to try it.
Hope this helps.
hello,
picture on screen was immediatly clean again ( bootload image ).
it was impossible to change the rom because i have a G4 model.
i flashed the rom with another french rom for G4 and it worked perfekt.
now i tried to remove the battery again for 3 seconds and now i have the same problem again. really strange ....
i tryed the same procedure again but no success.
I reinstalled differents rom's again starting always installation from bootloader.
After about 10 new installations i've clean picture again.
now i'll not put off, restart, or take of battery till one of you know what's the problem.
Thank you for your help !!
are you guys sure its not an intermitant hardware problem, it sounds like it to me. if yu were able to get a clean picture for a short time and now its white again, it cannot be the rom? As for replacing it, nothing is impossible and there is always ebay and google
QTEK S200 G4 CID unlock
How can I CID unlock a device that need´s that to upgrade the Rom?
Is there already any program that , Lockwiz dont do the job, can performe the unlock?
Thank you.
For G4 CID unlocking, you need to user Hard/Soft SPL.
same problem
my imate jamin got the same problem. it happens only and only when I remove the battery and when I leave it to charge for 1-2 days the LCD works again and show clear pic. any suggestion? activesync and &... are all ok!
Well, i upgraded to windows Mobile 6, but haven't removed the batterie anymore.
But i'm able to put it off now, what was impossible before.

Mda compact with serial v1.02 screen

Hi everyone.
After much searching I seem to have got nowhere. Can someone please help.
My mda compact 2 starting playing up yesterday, rebooting on its own, so I tried to install the upgrade from tmobile (ruu charmer). The upgrader stopped and my mda now has a screen that only either says serial v1.02 or usb v1.02.
I've tried rebooting it several times in several different ways without any joy, the screen just remains the same. I tried connecting to my laptop via active sync, but its like it doesn't exist anymore!
I'm about to give up after hours of trying to fix it, so any assistance in very simple terms would be much appreciated!
problem solved
Seems like my problem must have been too basic or too common for anyone to bother to help, so I did some searching myself throughout this site and elsewhere.
However, what I found was thoroughly misleading and unhelpful.
The error messages are also inaccurate and totally misleading. Error 274 might mean pc can't connect to pda, but it also means other things, like your using the wrong upgrade firmware!!. Having serial v1.02 or usb v1.02 on your screen does not mean its a grey and black brick(useless), its simply the upgrade mode screen.
Basically, I made an error in choosing my upgrade. I chose the wrong firmware package from t-mobile thinking what I had was a mdacompact 2, when it actually was just a mda compact. This error was the main issue, yet from this forum I had the idea it could have been a number of things.
One important thing to remember is adhering to all the instructions regarding the installation of the new rom.
Don't bother unless you do the following:
1) Make sure you have a good connection via cradle or usb lead when doing the download.
2) Make sure you close all unnecessary programs on your pc.
3) Dont touch either your pc or the mda during installation.
4) Don't give up after you read misleading rubbish on the web.
5) Make sure you download from the web the correct upgrade firmware!!(very important in my case!)
6) Active sync is not totally necessary during the process.(I turned off usb connection in its setting during my installation).
Hey
I have the same Problem
i tried updating the software on the phone but now i get that screen..
Im still stuck on what exctly to do, I've been googling it for hours!! HELP!!!

SPV M200 Upgrade Caused Problems ????

Hi,
This may not be the correct location so my apologies but here goes.
I downloaded the Blue Angle Windows 6 update (Helmi Windows Mobile 6 Professional RO) it started to run and check the phone, it started to load then the phone on the stand link but ALL went DEAD. I cannot restart the phone. I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset, both with NO luck. I have the Orange update ROM which would take it back but cannot get this to link and run in order to regain the operation of the phone. The phone is completely DEAD even the ON –OFF switch will not work. I have tried taking off the battery, this has no affect.
Just found data on the screen, at the top - the word "serial" and at the bottom " v2.072.
ANY SUGGESTION PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!

hd2 stuck at orange windows load screen

Help! I think I may have bricked my hd2... after installing a taskbar download I restarted but it wouldn't get past the orange windows start up screen. Of course my laptop is being fixed so I can't hook up to usb currently...any fixes without? Regardless I need assistance.
Doesn't sound bricked to me, if it's still booting that far. Try performing a hard reset.
Also try posting this in the HD2 forums where you will probably get a more specific answer.

[Q] Rooting w/ Goldcard - Help!

Hi, sorry if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it anywhere, and I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure it out!
I've been trying to root my old G1 for my brother, but it's proving difficult. The current firmware on the device is labelled as DMD64, and I'm trying to root with a Goldcard. I've tried with both RC7 (I'm in the UK) and RC29, but both give the same results when booting with Camera & Power.
First boots to rainbow screen, then goes to a grey screen where it goes..
Loading...
Checking...
00058002 appears at the top of the screen in red, then loads the rainbow screen again with "Serial 0" written in a white band across the screen.
Any help is much appreciated, as I said - I've tried searching but can't find anything useful!
since you said you tried it several times i guess you have also rebooted it ? (i dont want to advice this because i dont know about this) . what happend after you have seen that last rainbowscreen? (or rebootet? again dont do it on my advice) did it stop at the g1 screen? or bootloop ?
Cheers for the reply, yes I've rebooted several times. It boots up just fine, and every time I use the goldcard it does the same thing. It's as though it's not changed a thing!
gold card method is out of date. Use the universal and root. Not sure exactly it it spelled. I had to use the gold card with my first My touch 3G. The second one I used the universal app. I will try and shoot you a link.
