I was wondering about the boost performance (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS), when changing from 0 to 4096, is it safe? does it take up more battery power, has anyone noticed any difference?
and do you change the hex to dec (dumb question i know, im presuming hex but thought i'd better ask just in case)
thank you in advance

Hi all,
Has anyone got a direct link to battery status? i have wm6 business edition final installed as its the only one that seems to work 100% lol.
Also what speed would be safe to overclock to? i was told 245mhz but i just wana check, and what impact will this have on my battery life?

with me it works...
but i don't now if safe....
Batery arounds, in standby 12mA
In hard work....goes to +/-200mA
anyone know what the 'safe' overclocking setting is? i dont want it to burn itself out in time!

in my opinion...
any overcloking is not safe...
Dont go past 280 and you'll be fine
Mines it at 286 with BS, but in TCPMP it says only 260 While omapclock says 264 so i don't know which is right. My battery life with CPU scaler is pretty much the same as always. Although i do feel sometimes like the batter dies faster, like 30 min - 1 hour shorter life, so its not too bad. as for safety, i have been running it at 264 since i got the phone about a year ago, and then when i went to WM6 i did what i said earlier with batter status. Sometimes my screen goes white and blurry and stuff but if i just slide out the keyboard barely and put it back, it works fine. Don't know if its from the over clocking or just from overuse.
im running at 247mhz. although i am scared that itll burn itself out 6months down the line. can i safely up the speed more?
try and tell us...
i am running at 299 mhz, and it works fine on the MBE, and WM05 also
You know what funny is with OC on wizard? i never know what REAL speed is.
TCPMP shows one thing, omapclocker other, battery status another one...
i know about multiplier, but still have feeling, that its not exactly known, how buses are timed while OC. i noticed that less mhz not always = less power, so memory bus may be crucial.
what memory is in wizard? sdram 133? 100?
anybody knows mechanism?
i am curious.
xscale was so easy...
I posted in another thread, but it seems to have been overlooked as it was more of a question regarding another reply and didn't fit, so I'll make a new thread.
While my MDA seems to be functioning fine with very little lag and no hanging, I am still interested in trying to overclock it.
What I'm wondering is what is the best program to do it and where can I get it? I've seen several threads that refer to a program that allows you to tell the program which things to speed up, which things to run at native speed, and which things to even slow down (why you would want to slow it more than native I don't know).
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I knew of one program from a LONG time ago that overclocked the omap processor, but I'm guessing there must be better things out there by now.
Try this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751
research batterystatus, OMAP, SmartKey, and XCPU Scaler.
Crossbow reloaded has an overclocker included.
It also features variable clocking - increasing or decreasing the speed based on the percentage of current processor usage.
Mine is charging so I cannot say exactly - but it is something like....
Standard = 195
Max = 240
Boost = 265
Minimum = 69
I dropped the minimum speed as I figure it stretches the battery life - and why spin the processor to do almost nothing - ie wait for a call or text.
In reality the lowest it goes is 99 i think.
Thanks guys. I thought the battery status thing was just a more cool way to tell how much juice was left (as opposed to the original bar-based indicator)
Looks pretty interesting. I just hope I don't fry my phone now... LOL
Im two minded as to whether it is worth tripping knox to go into the world of custom os.
Im just curious as to whether opting to go onto custom roms has any improvements to the gaming experience such as increased fps?
also, is thier any drastic difference in battery life?
any input or feedback is greatful.

Different look, some extra functions but not the above 2. Maybe you can increase the battery life by lowering the voltages to cpu but it's not for average users. And increasing gpu speed isn't making any difference.

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if the LG Flex 2 uses thermal-engine.conf to set its thermal values, throttling, etc.
or if it's set in the Kernel source.
But if the 1st is the case @androidexpert35 's currently developed thermal "engine" might be the solution:
[MOD][6.0+][ v1.7 ][THERMAL-TWEAK] SmarTemperatureX | The best balanced S810 Ever!
some settings might need adaptation for the Flex 2 but I'm sure,
after some careful tinkering the device should be able to stay cooler, sustain performance over longer time and might also offer higher performance than stock (even under Marshmallow).
Good luck
Yes our device uses thermal_engine_8994 but how can we flash it on MM without root?
Correct me if im wrong but this looks like simple init.d script so it could be easily run for example with http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/init-d-script-init-d-support-g-flex-2-t3399145
Obviously it need some editing because it's for different device.
But we still need root on marshmallow to run scripts unfortunately. For lollipop we already have tweaked thermal config file but on MM,while tge ui is super smooth, gaming performance is horrible because of throttling.

you need root, otherwise you cannot do these kind of modifications

That's not really a init script,
it's a modification file, system config,
so someone who knows internals should ideally grab it via
e.g.
adb pull
and inspect if there are any similarities that can be merged and then re-uploaded,
NEVER at all times run WITHOUT the thermal configuration,
otherwise the device might overheat or get damaged (there are some safety measures in the chip, etc. but still)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/thermal-throttling-hotplug-settings-t3106165
This was already implemented almost a year ago..
It is really the limit to configuring the file..
The thermal config here sets throttling to higher values so reduces lag overall..but unlike anyother sd810 phones ..g flex 2 gets hot really really quickly..
So for gamming with the config in the mentioned thread gets the device to heat up upto 50-55 C overall..(core heating can get up to 70-80 C)
Only option is to customize the kernel but sadly no bootloader unlock for more than a year...

If it already lags at default settings, something's really off (ROM or Kernel would need optimization)
actually the best with this hothead of a SoC would be to make it throttle earlier (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/mod-t3250283)
and then there's also core_ctl (CORE_CTL_HELPER) which can be set up via e.g. Kernel Adiutor or Kernel Adiutor Mod,
but that's probably nothing new to you and the others in the mentioned thread
Thanks
Goodnight. I do not speak English. I'm a novice at this. i have recently installed clean rom 3.2 android 6.0 on my lg g3 d855. It works very well, only that the battery discharge is excessive. I have synapse installed, maximum frequency 1728 mhz, undervoltage control: apply -15mv, undercurrent control: apply -12mA, Low power state mode: "ON", voltage reduction: 70, current reduction: 28. I don't know if I'm doing it right. please I need someone to guide me to extend the autonomy of the battery a little more. Your contributions are great, I congratulate you. I await your help. thank you.

If your battery is old or has been used for years and charged/discharged frequently, then your issue is that your battery is failing. If your battery has lost it's ability to hold a charge for long durations, you need to replace the battery. Modifying software and settings is not going to help with this issue. You just need to accept it and replace the battery, all the other stuff you are trying to do, is just a waste of time and effort that woukd have been better used for other more productive or useful things.

sir, thank you very much for your reply. I have one last question. In case I replace my battery, would the above mentioned setting work for a performance and autonomy plan? I am not an advanced user, I only run light applications. I also need to know if you have a driver to improve the quality of the camera LG G3 D855. Sorry if I'm not entirely clear, as I said, I don't speak English. thank you again.
