I have been trying out alot of apps in the market like launcherpro and other quality apps. I also like to reflash my phone once or twice a week, be it cognition or jh7 or screwing up kernels etc....
If I start buying apps off the market, when i sign back into the market from a new rom, will i have all my paid apps there? or will they all be gone like my free ones?
If they disappear, how do you guys get them working again where they update on the market?
thanks
When you buy apps from the market it will stay saved on the google account you used
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
it keeps a record of your paid apps, sign into your gmail account then accept market terms go to download section of the market and all paid apps are listed i have flashed numerous roms and it recorded all my paid apps, alternatively you can use titanium backup to backup all your apps along with the data and your system setting also
thanks... just bought launcherpro plus via paypal... and folder organizer.... Can't believe the developer was able to make container icons showing whats inside the folder like the iphone...
I am not a fan of the iphone, but always thought those icon folders that show you whats inside are super cool.

Which folder organizer did you purchase?
Ok, so since I change roms occasionally it is a pain to have my apps try and restore themselves everytime I start a new ROM. I'd be ok if it were just 50 or so apps, but it tries to install every app I have ever downloaded and that is a TON!
I know I can skip the sign in process and turn off "automatic restore" but is there a way to just delete the cache of apps that the Market thinks I want? That way I can allow the auto restore without having it force close my phone because its overloaded.
+1
anyone??????????
there are no body for this...
The only way i can think of is uninstalled each app via the market once it's installed. That will remove it from your account
Has anyone ever figured this out? I have tried uninstalling from "Manage applications" in settings. I have tried uninstalling from the marketplace app. I have went onto the website but there is NOTHING that you can do with the apps in your "My Apps" list.
I flash my phone a few times a month and I think it is nice that it will reinstall all your market apps but there are a LOT that I just install to try and then want them GONE forever. Has anyone ever figured this out?
Thanks,
supersobbie
There is no way to do it from what I can tell. It drives me nuts. I wish Google would fix this.
There is a toggle for it in privacy settings and if using a new gb release you get that option in the setup wizard too
Thanks, but I do not think that is exactly what I am looking for.
I use CM7 nightlies but a few times a month I like to clean house and reinstall. Yes I do get the option to either sync or not sync.... but both ways suck right now. If I sync then I have to go back and remove all the CRAP that is sitting out there... If I dont sync I have to go back and install all the Apps that I actually want from there....
Both way suck. What I want is to be able to remove the items in the list for restore. That is the part that Google needs to fix. It is just annoying as heck.
Thanks,
supersobbie
Edit the "market_assets.db" file perhaps?

I believe that Google has said that if you uninstall an app that you did NOT purchase then it will be removed from your "My Apps" section within a week or so? Has anyone seen this?
As far as removing individual apps, perhaps the /data/data/com.android.vending/databases/market_assets.db file can be edited? I have found that deletion of this file, a reboot, then opening the android market; solves the "Missing My Apps" section on the market. I JUST did this solution, so I am not sure if this is a long term fix or not.
This issue in particular may be related to Titanium Backup Pro? Unsure, but I am a user if Titanium Backup
My point is, this database file has our market link data. Claerly when the data is broke the "My Apps" section is missing, yet perhaps there is a way to edit this file to hide a few apps from the "My Apps" section?
I can't post up links yet as I am still a new member, but if someone wants to view the .db files there is an application called "SQLite Database Browser" available on PortableApps dot com. This browser does not appear to show the actual data, only the tables and extents, yet this is at least a start... I believe there are linux database viewers that will actually show the data if desired
--Edit--
I found the Google link about removing downloaded apps. They simply say you can uninstall, and that there is no way to remove the apps from "My Apps" section on com.android.com

I am not sure if it is relevant but there is an option in Titanium Backup relating application's market link or something. May it be useful?

Glad if it helps. I wasn't sure because i never used that.
I know its a somewhat old thread but I myself would like to delete the "my apps" from play store... does anyone know if its possible?
Didn't find it in TB... but the way, doesn't it unlink only apps that you have installed?
Im looking for this feature also...Remove link from market...i don't have these apps installed anymore...
remove apps from my apps
Go to Google Play
Press the downloaded symbol (line with arrow above it) in the top left corner.
Slide over to "All"
To select, hold finger on an app.
Now you can just tap an app to add it to the list.
Repeat for all apps you want to remove.
Press remove in top left.
Done.
This is the fastest wayI have found but really it needs a webpage or something to quickly select from the THOUSANDS of apps cluttering the place.

That is not the true ....
( sorry for bad english, i am french and very angry )
I discovered today that Google lied a lot about removing unused app from his list ...
The app are just hidden for us, Google keep all in his database
i am so angry
i searched a way for blocking market to update itself automaticely, and i found here on this forum the way ( with chattr +i )
And go back to market 3.1.3
And i had big surprise when i saw all the app i had "removed" from list are still here ....
I posted this in the Galaxy S2 forums but unfortunately not many replied, im hoping someone here can be of assistance.
Some apps i have on my phone i haven't got via the Android Market, lots ive got have been apk's ive got on XDA,etc, etc, what im wondering is, seen as i didn't get these apps from the market if i linked the selected apps to the market through the market doctor what is that supposed to do?
I have the Paddy Power app and Betfair app which were were initially on the Android market but for some bizzare reason Android market decided no betting apps were to be allowed to took them off the market so i went elsewhere and downloaded them and installed via root explorer, there are a couple of paid apps i also downloaded for free not something i usually do but whoever created these apps was taking the p*ss with the price they were charging so i refuse to pay over the odds for an app, taking all this into consideration what (if any) advantage would i have by linking these to the market and more's to the point considering i didn't get any of these particular apps from the market would the apps in question still link to the market?

For apps already removed from the market there's no use forcing a link.
For paid apps if it's not good enough to match its price to you,you still want to use it and want easy updates? :O probably why your question is unanswered..

What about apps though that ive got on XDA and apps like Paddy Power and Betfair which were taken out of the market, can these not be linked to the market?
You cannot link it to market because it does not exist in the market server anymore, it's that simple.

Market doctor is used when apps you did get in the market don't show up. Nothing more. Link to market is really only useful is you manually unlinked an app.
can i backup all my messages with titanium backup and restore them on another ROM?
So I guess this is the right section, correct me if i am wrong.
I've installed a craked version of Beautiful Widgets (shame on me) so I could try it for some time. Now I want to buy the application and I cant! Somehow the android market thinks i've purchased the app.
Does any one know a way to fix that?
Tks
Have you tried uninstalling the cracked version first? That should in theory let you buy it. If you already did that then I have no idea lol.

I've flashed the new GB, so the app is not at my phone anymore /=
Try clearing data for the market. Go to settings > applications > manage applications, then select the "all" tab. Scroll down until you find the market app and select it. Select the "clear data" button. If that doesn't clear the cache - it should - clear that as well. Then open the market and search for Beautiful Widgets. Hopefully you'll be able to purchase it before it repopulates your list of apps.
I've noticed this with apps that I got for free from Amazon. If you cannot get that to work, wait until there's an update to BW. Once you see the "update" button and select it, you'll be given an option to buy it. I thought that somehow the Market integrated with Amazon (yeah right), but unfortunately not.
I think pirating apps is sleazy, especially considering that they're usually only $1-$3 and a one-time purchase. But thank you for actually purchasing the app after pirating it.

I´ve already tryed to clear the market data and no succes =/ Guess I will have to wait for the next update from Level Up.
I agree with you plainjane, the apps price are VERY reasonable, but I like to try the apps for some time before buying them and the new market refound system makes impossible to try the app for some time.
Any other suggestions?
Have you tried purchasing it from a computer? Go to the market website and try there. If you're able to purchase it there, the download should automatically start on your device if you're connected to the Internet.
Alternatively, you can reinstall the app and uninstall it from the market. You should then have the option to purchase it.
If you can't get anything to work, you can always contact Market support.

If you think you still have remains on your phone from the cracked version you can try the app in my signature "sd maid" to remove those remains.

Sadlly no. The web market (market.google) has a database for the purchased apps. So if you install a cracked version of an App google put a purchased flag on the database. But i think that the old market does not use this database that is why i was abble to buy the app using the old market.
When i say the old market i mean that one that came with the 2.2, with a green half circle on top.

OK the way to do it that has worked for me when I use cracked apps to test is that, it will look like it thinks you have purchased but when you hit update or install, it will ask you to pay.
Remember to hit the thanks button if I helped! It only takes a second!

thx for helping out, but problem not solved!
i have tried the following:
* update from cracked app
* uninstalled cracked app and then install from market
* uninstalled cracked app, installed demo version from market and then tried to upgrade to full version
all of these attempts failed!
it just says in the market that the app is purchased and when i try to install it (or update it), it says something like "download declined because app is not purchased"!
i guess a full wipe would be a solution, but i´d rather not do that, right now!
Full wipe won't help...at least it didn't in my case. I have done a few full wipes and even switched between android versions and still get to "download and install" before it tells me app is not purchased but there is no purchase option in market, only install...

Hi,
This isn't quite what I'm looking for, because this lists ALL apps.
I just want a list of apps that I've paid for that are yet to be installed.
This was available in previous Google Store apps, where if you swipe left once it gives you list of all free apps you installed, and if you swipe left once more, it gives you a list of all the apps you've paid for whether they are installed or not.
For some strange reason they got rid of this valuable function. Now I've got no idea what apps I've paid for.
Automatic transaction restore
All transactions you did through the Play Store are kept by Google and when you reinstall the app after a wipe the app should automatically reinstate your license.
You should not be able to pay twice for the same app, unless the developer uses in-app billing with multiple product codes.
I had to wipe my phone completely clean last week and it automatically reloaded all my apps, including the ones I paid for and all was fine.
I hope this was helpful.
