wake on eMail? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

All,
I'm wondering if somebody already discovered the tweak to let the Leo wake up when a new eMail arrives like it will do by receiving a SMS.
May I did not find it through the search function, but if already posted/solved I would ask you for the link.
This feature will be awesome as of I receive more eMails then SMS
Cheers,
Prinz
edit:// please move thread to the right

This is non-working on every HD2 ROM to date. HTC tech support has been told this repeatedly, but they continue to deny there's a problem. Until such time as they wake up and fix it, using the latest PhoneAlarm beta seems to be the only workaround. http://www.pocketmax.net/smf/index.php?topic=8009.0

Thx so far, but this is not my intension
I wanted to have this with MS standarts, not with 3rd party software.....damn...

Is there a way to view recieved date and time for sms mms and emails

is there a way to have the vox display the date and time messages were received? Either a setting on the phone or a programme I can install?
Cheers S
A friend of mine who used to have a SE phone asked me the same question.
Unfortunately couldn't find an answer. Doesn't seem to be a built in functionality. I found also references in forums with people asking how this could be done (by developing an addin)... Guess someone willing to develop it has some future ahead
Ka.
Thanks for the reply. It just seems like such a basic thing i don't understand why MS would leave it out.

While in messages applications. Go to options. There should be something to check if you want to see the date and time of message arrivals. If that doesnt work, try the other way: when you read the specific message, click up on joystick one or two times. There should be all necessary info.
Try FlexMail 2007 from WebIS (www.webis.net). It isn't that cheap, at $30, but it is much better than the supplied applications. I was introduced to it because I found that deleting on the Vox also deletes on my IMAP server even when it shouldn't!
Hope this helps!
Select Text Messages or an e-mail account. Go to Menu->Tools->Options->Display and Check Show date and time in the message list
The option _is_ there.
Open an SMS message and press on the UP button.
I was talking about "Received by the recipient", actually the delivered timestamp.
Meaning:
I send a message, I have the delivered notification. Ok. Now I would like being able to open the Sent message and see on it when the recipient has received it or still pending delivery. I can do it checking everytime if I have a Delivered note but would be better having everything at the same place.
Ka.
what about call history, any ideas?
activate the delivery report.
When you recieve it, open it and go up with with you jojstick to se the time. the sent time of the report is the recieving time of the sms at the reciepent.

forward SMS as e-mail?

Hey everyone! I've got a question! Is it possible to find an application that forwards received SMS messages as e-mails (as a form of backup)?
I found an app called "SMS Organizer" but i'm not sure if it'll do that.
I don't care if it's automatic upon receiving the SMS (which I'd prefer) but it's not 100% necessary. I have an HTC Touch Dual with WM6. Open to ideas!
Kent.
anyone? I'm sure someone knows how to do this :-\
Someone over at MoDaCo wrote this app a couple of months ago...haven't tried it myself yet but I think it should be what you're looking for:

giving up on all the cool wm6.1 based roms because of stupid smtp issue

i have used opentouch 5.2 for quite some time and have absolutely loved it. the interface is fantastic. tried out 7.1 today to see if it would fix the "unable to send message" error that I receive when trying to send email via smtp that many people are experiencing with wm6.1.
i am so fed up that I have put back on a tmobile wm6 rom, without threaded sms, without all of the cool features the cooked roms offer, just so I don't have to delete and re-add my 2 email accounts 4-5 times a day because they quit letting me send email after only a little while of being set up anew.
arghh... has anyone found a fix for this?

i see it is being discussed here:

Hi,
mms/sms is working on my v7.1 rom, I have no issues using it and most of my users are not having issues.
Please direct your questions in the original thread so we can help you.
SMTP issues - not SMS
I don't use any of these roms yet, so I have no input on a fix.... but it looks like he is talking about SMTP not working correctly - not SMS - so... basically... his emails stop sending after a short while and he has to re-configure his email settings constantly to be able to send his emails.... sounds very annoying - is this a common problem? (makes me think twice about flashing my phone to a 6.1 rom as I use email almost constantly for business)
Yes this is a very annoying problem especially when you store a lot of mails on your device and finally one day it stops sending.
Alternatives like Flex Mail are too slow..
Regards,
Carty..

Thats strange,
I guess I must have misread it, I've always sync my mail with my companies exchange server and never had any issues.

Same here, except I use the free Mail2Web. I rarely if ever have used anything but exchange on these phones.
Ill test using smtp. Exchange works fine.
Edit: working fine so far will test more.
Working fine here
I've been using email a lot on my phone, worked fine for a good six months now with the 6.1 roms. OTP6.5 still being used here... I love the simplicity and stability of HTC home.
yeah it's not an SMS/MMS issue, it's an SMTP issue.
are there any WM6 cooked roms (not wm6.1) that include the WM6.1 threaded SMS system?

No. It's integrated into WM6.1 that I know off.
SMTP Works fine in WM6.1
I have been using WM6.1 Cooked ROMS for a while now and all 6 of my SMTP email accounts work just fine. Never have had to reset anything to use it, only time I have had sending issues are in areas with weak signals and large emails.
i can set up a pop/smtp account in my device with a wm6.1 cooked rom and it will work great for a few hours or a few days sometimes, but inevitably i will get an error message about "unable to send" and after that 1 time of receiving the error message it will *NEVER* send email again on that account until I delete it and re-add the account (and re-write all the emails stuck in my outbox).
It may not be the ROM, I have this problem with 6.0 & 6.1 Official ATT ROMs.
Hi trevorcobb,
I have the same problem you described with email.
I have it on my Tilt, running Official ATT WM6.0 and WM6.1 ROMs. It's VERY ANNOYING!
I've tried POP3 and IMAP4 configurations of my gmail accounts, without luck.
I've tried using different networks, no luck.
I've deleted and recreated my email accounts in my Tilt, and it temporarily fixes the problem, until a few weeks or days later my emails stop going out.
I've looked for help in the Gmail Forums, and other places and found very little.
It seems odd that it should work for a while and then stop, without any warning.
I'll keep working on it, and let me know if anyone knows what causes this or how to fix it permanently.

The OP noted the exact problem - smtp-, not exchange server-based accounts. If the links above describe the problem accurately, it appears that you will not see this problem unless you have timed out an email send request via smtp.
Allegedly there is a fix on way - not holding my breath...
It is possible to add much of the 6.1 functionality to 6.0 - like threaded sms. Some folks report that they have gotten manilla/touchflo2d working as well.
Some kaiser chefs are threatening to go back to cooking 6.0 ROMs - see here which were all faster than the bloated 6.1s anyway.
Nevertheless, hoping to see a fix or update from WM - how would you like to be rocking a Diamond or Touch HD and have this problem?
Cheers,

Try this, it worked for me.

Enhanced SMS & Caller ID+Handcent SMS

So i can't make the SMS voice notification work with handcent. But the Caller ID does work well.
This app is the greatest voice notif app over the market.
I have read this faq as well but still doesn't work.
http://www.enhancedsmscallerid.com/home/faq/handcent
I have emailed the developer already and waiting for his reply. But if you guys know how to solve it and can share how to. TIA
You mentioned that you emailed me, so I figure that you got you answer already since I try to reply within the hour to all inquiries! For those that stumble upon this post, the FAQ mentioned should help most users. We have found that sometimes a full uninstall of both apps, followed by a reboot, then installing Enhanced SMS & Caller ID (making sure it works as expected) helps. Once you have confirmed that our app works as expected then install Handcent (paying attention to our FAQ settings). The problem is that Handcent can disable other apps SMS listeners and doesnt revert them. Reinstall after a reboot solves that problem.
Sorry for the late response here. I found this question while on Google. Good luck, and thank you for calling our app the best voice notification app on the market! It is just getting started.

[Completed] [Q] Email for Notifications??

Hi, this is probably a really simple question and I hope this is the right place to ask.
I would like to receive an email whenever I receive a new notification on this site.
I just can't seem to find where to enable it in settings.
Thanks
Hi,
On a browser, not an app, you can select email notification when you subscribe to a thread. The emails are not necessarily instant though, they can be delayed... So you know.
?
Hi Darth, thanks for the reply.
Though that's not exactly what I am after.
I am following a ROM release thread and would like to receive an email whenever a new version of the rom is released. I have clicked "Follow Project" and when roms are released I get a notification in the notifications tab under "DevDB Updates" but I can't find a way to have it email me when this occurs. If I subscribe to the thread I get an email whenever anyone posts in the thread which isn't what I am after.
AFAIK we don't support this feature yet (I haven't seen it in any of my options either) though it can be suggested here
