I tried to bake my own rom, but ti didn't work. My question is, can I just push the apk. to the phone? Or is it tied to possibly to something else and will not work?
isn't the X10 based on 1.6?? I doubt it wud ever work on the 2.0, let alone the 2.1

Didn't know that. Thanks.
of course it can work. the dump needs to be ported first, u can't just push .apk's.. they run on a highly customized framework that is all tied together and inter-related much like HTC sense.

Which is why I asked.
but, you should be able to pull most of the .pngs out of the x10 framework and port it into a theme for 2.0/2.1...
got a link to the x10 apk?

I would like to get theses png too... I search for the launcher png to make my own theme.
Do you know if they are available somewhere
Download the dump here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=658063&highlight=dump
Then extract the apks and open them in any archive manager (winrar etc) and look for PNGs in the res/drawable folder. Most system wide stuff is in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
EDIT: OK, my mistake
I downloaded the sources and not the rar file

Euhhh, I just downloaded 73Mb file of X10..
I think there is a mistake because once the file uncompressed I get this:
A directory: X10_Donut_100325_01
1 sub-dir: esheep_linux
1sub-dir: LINUX
1sub-dir: android
3 sub dir: external - kernel - system.
If I go under system, i get: core/mtd and there nothing but .c files
I think that was a wrong file a downloaded but I cannot find an other one.
Sorry, but I try my best ;-)
I found some apk but no launcher.apk.
Only launcher.odex and i could'nt unzip it.
For all the other applications, that's OK.
Hello, sorry to annoy you again with my questions...
1) I downloaded the framework and extract all.
I extracted all the files but:
SonyX10/system/app/Launcher.apk - CRC failed
Total errors: 1

OMG, i had tu unzip hundreds of files that worked pretty well and the only one I need is the only one that failed????
I'm so unlucky.
Can someone send the launcher.apk to me?
Here is the un-odexed X10 dump I have... Ready to be played with...

Also, here is an X10 theme for CM 5.0.6 that I have been working on...
http://www.4shared.com/file/CKUM0CAj/zapmi_X10_103.html
Enjoy!
Thank you for both link that work pretty well. Thank a lot!
I found all I wanted except one thing: do you know where is the background of the "quick settings" widget?
The number one on the picture, the launcher was easy to find in the launcher.apk.
Click for full size - Uploaded with plasq's Skitch
Thank a lot.
settings.apk should be what you're lookin for.
i actually ported the statusbar to my droid a while back. didnt look too bad..

I'm trying to get a copy of Fring, an app called "Messaging Widgets (1.5.3)" and and Google Translate
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I've been able to find everything except the messaging widget .apk, can someone download it for me and post the .apk here?

I was wondering if anyone has been able to successfully reproduce the Beach LWP for the Nexus yet? I've searched around and I know there's some galaxy s LWPs that have successfully worked on N1 (Ocean Wave is really vibrant, no pun intended) but with beach LWP all I've read is FC's and on mine it also FC'd. The Beach one is different from Blue Sea and Ocean Wave (just clarifying because some searches I've done have mistaken Beach for one of those, when I just want Beach). Thanks.

Should be a version on the market.
the only ones i've found on the market are other beach-type live wallpapers but not the one that i've seen on the samsung captivate 2.2
Point me to a deodexed rom with it included and I'll have a look at it for you.
I did the non-root version of the other Sammy LWP's.

Here's one... Still using the tricks from over here to use the modded Fascinate and Captivate 2.1 LWPs on my Captivate. Might just work with that....
Attached is the LWP and Lib file. Might work to push the lib file to the system/lib folder, fix the permissions and install the apk. If it doesn't work, here's the link for the thread for a Cappy/i9000 rom.

i tried to push the lib file to system/lib and fix permissions, install apk and didn't work, tried fixing permissions after installing apk too and didnt work either

Yep, already done that. The library itself has a masked dependency and I cant trace it. I even built the library into the apk and recompiled it and it still fc'd. So this means that the .so has a dependency on another .so or on the Samsung framework (like HTC does).
This means that the method I used to make the other Sammy LWP's available for non-root will not work with this one.
If you install my modified apk on a Galaxy S phone it works so it's a Samsung bit somewhere that's required and that bit may be mutually exclusive with other roms.
I was afraid of that, but since I now have a Captivate, I thought that I would oblige and pull them for you guys.
Would any of you guys be kind enough to extract the 2.1 alarm apk and upload it for me.
Silly me deleted it but now want it back, failing that I'll have to re-flash.
Cheers

Hi,
I love the original wallpapers of 2.1 which are not all available in 2.2...
I just read that these are not directly available on internal memory and in some factory rfs or so .apk file...
I've all sound file from internal memory but no wallpapers...
Can anyone give those original wallpapers?
Not screenshots I want wallpapers...
I've check for tw site but cant find anything
maybe they are in framework.apk
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
I'll open it and check out
Got it...
They are in twwallpaperchooser.apk
Thank God I've baked up 2.1 apps
Though without root...
In this way we can get wallpapers of any launcher theme app...
