Weather Application

Hi!
I've been using Spb Weather for a while, and I really like it, but it has one major drawback. It only has a today plugin, not a "real" application you can launch, but what I really like is the ability to make a custom weather source parser (template). Is there any other weather applications out there that can handle custom sources?

PK

Try Pocket Weather: http://www.sbsh.net/products/pocketweather/

Or Weather Panel, since it's free and it's kinda what you're looking for

Thanks for reply. Think I'll try Weather Panel first because it's free!

Weather panel is not free.
http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/features.htm
It's $12.99 and you can buy it here.
http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/purchase.htm
I have installed on my XDA, iMate XDA II, ipaq 6515, Dopod 818, Dopod 818 Pro, and HTC Advantage. It's my only and essential 3rd party today plug-in.
Hi!
Can anyone give me some guidance in how to make a custom source parser for weather panel?

Need help to identify a program

Hi, I need help to identify the program that's used in this video as "picture finger friendly nice working" I would like buying my Trinity that one, seems very nice.
The program appears at minute 3.25
Also would appreciate help identifying the weather program used there, seems much nicer than the Spb Weather I just bought on 23/03/2008
Upps almost forgot, video is here: http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=aDQz3nKJPMw
Spb Mobile Shell 2.0 was used at the beginning
HTC Home was on the Today screen (Has built in weather)
Not sure what the other weather app was but I like it.
Also was using a cube but cant identify what one was used.
With the exception of MS2.0, the weather program, and a few others I couldn't identify, can be found in this forum. You may want to look at the Mobile Shell Icons thread for some incredible things they have done.
Hope this helps a little and good luck........

display my location weather on homepage

Is there a way of displaying today's weather on the homepage beneather the clock?
Buxtonlad
Hello again Buxtonlad
Do you have Windows Mobile 6.5? If so, I had to click on the clock, select my location as my city (Buxton, for you) and then it'll have the weather for Buxton under the clock.
This was after I had set my City in the Weather tab, but unsure if its required or not.
I take it that my manila file in the other topic worked OK?
Superman_1122
Manila file worked great - thanks.
Bought my D2 on 02 in June, think it's WinMo 6.1. Is it possible to upgrade to 6.5?
Sorry for the Qs... newbie round here!
Matthew
win 6.5
hey up you can either download 6.5 from here
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=249&cat=2&dl_id=728
or if you look in the rom development section, you can find loads of great custom roms (these normally have loads of extras in, but not always as stable as the stock rom from htc)
and welcome to xda

Request for HTC Sense Weather Only

Hi all,
Having tried out and tested some of the great new Roms that have been created for out TG01's and many thanks to those whose hard work made them possible.
I personally have discovered that the only thing i really like about Sense is the great Weather app and moving wallpaper on the Home Screen. I actually prefer the look and options that SPB Mobile Shell gives me over Sense. So i am wondering is it possible to extract and just install the HTC Weather to run on our TG01's as if so i think that would be great.
Looking forward to finding out if it's possible or not and if anyone else would like this to.
Marc
Hi all,
Well I'm amazed at nearly 200 views but no comments anyway last night i flashed an unbranded Rom with Sense 2.5 v2012 and installed Cookies Home Tab Mod and CHTeditor and have to say am now loving Sense and of course the Weather app. I can highly recommend it as being both fast and simple and with the amount of tweaks and fixes it works both fast and smoothly.

[REQ] Weather App wich uses GPS/Localization?

Hello, I was wondering if it exists some app to use with my HD2 for weather forecast etc. wich uses GPS/Google etc. (lihe HTC weather) to use as alternative to the HTC app...I've downloaded Touch Weather wich is GREAT but it doesn't use localization....
Some advice?
Thanks and regards
Andrea
Forget weather apps with "my location" ! Once You are there You already know how the weather is by looking outa the window or singing in the rain .............
What is more important: You wanna know the weather of the place YOU GO !
So the best weather app (and there will be no better in the next 20 years ) is Dunc´s Weather-Panel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=707229
It´s a complete worldwide professional meteorological weather station in Your pocket and You can include also traffic cams !
Try it, You won´t regret it !

Yes, neither G-Weather uses localization....
You might try THIS:
http://www.gps-weather-radar.com/
Not quite what You are looking for but it comes close at least for rain-radar-moving map corresponding to Your location ................

Maybe I am not understanding your question correctly, but PocketWeather DOES use GPS positioning for your current location. I cannot speak for the other programs however. See screenshot.
