How to see the clock - Palm Treo 750

As a newbie to this site its very complex and detailed as it needs to be for most users.
Me I'm technically and visually challenged so I need a clock I can see on my company supplied Palm Treo 750 with Vodaphone.V10.6.0031.2500
I need a magnifying glass to see the default clock!
Any suggestions as to where to go and what to do?.

Shadow Interface

Hi,
Some one knows if the new Shadow Windows Interface can be handled by any of our devices?
Regards,
Taguapire.
what's it look like? any pic's?
i dont have any pics, but it is a simple, yet complex interface. you scroll up and down to get to different menu options. then you can scroll left/right to go to sub options. The interface is nice, but i think it can definately use some tweaking. Ill see what i can do about pics. Also, we need to get a shadow sub-forum opened up so we can address these things in the proper place.
A pic of the interface from Engadget
EDIT: added lik to photo
Shadow pictures
You can see pictures of shadow here and here
Regards,
Taguapire.
nice phone imo..
it really is. The 2x memory does make it run pretty smooth and the size is awsome (almost 1 to 1 the size of a Blackberry Pearl) As soon as i get familiar with the "sure type" style keyboard, i think i will be fully sold on it. Though i do miss a few functions of my PPC (t-mo wing), i feel like i am using my excalibur (t-mo dash) again... just smaller with a bigger screen and 2x memory. So if you are a fan of the excalibur, i think you will really like the Shadow.
Could be terrific if we can try the Shadow Interfae in our devices.
Regards,
Taguapire.
I believe that the shadow runs Windows Mobile Standard, so those with Windows Mobile Professional (touch screens) might be SOL...
Use WAD...
Someone with enough time to spare with Wisbar Advance Desktop can EASILY make that happen if the icons areavailable. Jst sharing some info thats all
alipendier:
People would if there was WAD for smartphones
That may be coming at some point
...yes, it is -- but definitely needs tweaking!

Clock Icon that shows current time

We have an "intelligent icon", it is Calendar icon. Is has the capability of changing its picture, showing us the number of the current date, ok?
I am seeing my iPhone, and Calendar icons says "29".
Well, in that order of ideas, I think it could be possible to have an "clock icon" that shows the current time (in analog or digital way) with an automatic-minute-actualization.
Is it a crazy idea?
If not, who starts the development?
(sorry if my English is not totally correct)

An icon is a bitmap - it has zero "intelligence" - it is just a picture.
The calendar icon on the iPhone is a background image with the date overlaid as a font or image.
And I would recommend XIAMultiTheme over rlToday. Compatible XML-wise, but far superior in feature set and much easier to use.
ok, I know rlToday
But I have an iPhone, and that program is only for Windows Mobile...
I shoud have mentioned that I was looking something like that, but for iPHone.
Thanks anyway.
(I have returned to Windows Mobile, I have bought a HTC Cruise because mi iPhone is not working well)
Posting on this forum asking for iPhone software is like like asking for Skoda tuning tips on a Ferrari forum - likely to get you flamed!
Seriously, put the iPhone to a proper use, like a door stop or a paper weight.

Add things to the tf3d homes screen

Hey guys i've been searching around a little bit and cant seem to find the answer to this, I'm trying to add things to my Home screen because the only things on there are the clock and calendar. Any help would be appreciated.
The TouchFLO 3D home screen isn't like a normal Today screen; it differs in that it's not directly customizable. You can't, for example, just add a plug-in to the home screen.
There are several additional tabs available here on XDA-Devs, or you can read up on editing Manila files, which use Lua, in order to customize your TF3D yourself. The latter isn't for the faint of heart!

There is limitless customization available depending on what you want.
It should ike you are running just WM today? TF3D is the bomb interface but there are others such as SPB Moobile Shell, Ultimate Launcher, etc....
I run 3 different interfaces simultaneously.

Official Tennis Rolex Analogue Clock

I need some help here....
I hope I can get the Official Grand Slam Tennis Rolex Analogue clock for the Cookie Monsters 1.7.x mod. I love watching tennis and one of the things I see and like is the official Rolex clock/timer. It has the analogue Rolex clock as well as the ROLEX name placed between the 2 Logos below the clock. On the right side you find the Digital Clock to show the time elapsed for the match being shown.
I am hoping that someone could please make that same clock for me either exactly as it is perhaps with Digital part being for stop-watch or on the right it can display the weather condition.
Unfortunately I have been unable to trace a wallpaper or high res image of the exact same clock but I hope that the clock modifiers here might be having something similar. I have attached a website screenshot showing the clock which is very close to the actual clock/timer in Rolex sponsored Tennis tournments especially the Grand Slams. An image of the Clock at a tennis court is also attached.
Thanking you in advance......
Anybody who can help
What exactly do you need... the watch only (dial plus gold bezel) or the green housing around, too?
The clock alone (again, dial plus bezel only) takes little time, plus the green housing a little more...
As a sample, the easy mix...

I will do both versions then... you will have the choice, as with the whole housing, the clock itself will be quite a bit smaller...
Will post the result soon!

Here we go...
A "full" version of the Rolex Tenniswatch.
It is done for Cookiemonsters Home Tab 1.7.
To install, just copy the cab to your HD2 and run it, then soft reset.
As the clock layout brings offset positions for the dials, please note that the file which contains
those positions is replaced too. Please also see my comment below how to go back to the original
layout and clock.
*IMPORTANT*: To uninstall, please use the attached cab which will restore the original analog
clock from Cookiemonsters Home Tab including the original position of the dials!

Thank you very much for the Tennis Rolex clock. I already installed it and enjoying.
Is it possible to adjust the clock so that the top part does not protrude above the background that contains the clock and the weather. Similarly there is a big gap on the left side which shows a blank area which I believe would be better if occupied by the clock. What about the Second hand? Is it possible to have it. And finally maybe we can consider the clock hands to be a different colour - Golden maybe or even red......
Edit...... I attach the screenshot for easier understading of the clock that I wish can be moved a bit to the left and also a little lower so that it can align or look better with the box for clock and weather. Thank you. Tic Tac or is it Tik Tok ......
For some reason screenshot cant upload. Dont know why. Will try later

Well, I just kept the clock as close as possible (and resonable) to the outdoor picture in your opening post... no seconds hand there, but of course, it can be added without huge effort. And, the color of the hands can also be changed quite easily, too.
Since the overall design of the clock is not really an exact square (the original layout is 256 x 256 pixels), some space (at the left and right side) is actually transparent.
Any modification of the positioning will take a little bit longer as the offset of the hands requires some changes in the coordinates of the layout file.
A picture to show what your exact requests are would definitely be helpful, even though I can indeed imagine what you mean, but I may be wrong...

Indeed you made the clock exactly as I wanted. What I mean is the positioning of the clock in the homescreen once it is installed. I was just wondering if there is a way it can be pushed a little to the left and slightly lower for better alignment. I guess you and me are talking of the same thing but I am the problem coz I dont know exactly how the clocks are done.
I have changed the homescreen image format and hope I will now be able to upload...... Here we go
One last request sir...... As you try make the requested features of the clock could you please put some gold on the clock bazel (i believe thats the name for the ring round the clock?). Sorry if I sound greedy but I promise I wont make any more intense and time consuming requests

On real Rolex watches, the crown from the logo is sometimes in gold, too... would you like to have that in gold?
The bezel I took was a picture of a real Rolex spare part... in gold, actually, but I will take care to enhance a bit...
Some waiting time for you is given though. Until the end of it, please enjoy your "beta" version!

No worry, my friend, I am just checking what is possible and what not...
As of now, I know how I can change the size to match your requests, but some more research will show me if more can be done...

Perfect
By the Way TicTac I have this Rolex flash file I wonder if its of any help. The clock, bazel and face could be useful but I have no idea. Please have a look.
Here is the result of some trials.
Unfortunately, there are some hair lines at the border of the clock graphics (above and to the left of the clock, see picture). Will try to get rid of those...
Attached is the cab for this clock. It will only look nice for the analog clock plus weather layout, maybe you can live with the looks of digital/analog/weather combination, too...
The Rolex crown has become golden, there is now a seconds hand.
Again, to uninstall, please use the cab which I added with the first draft a few posts earlier.

Thank you very much. This new one is very close to the real thing. I agree with you if you manage to get rid of the two gaps mentioned it will be much better. Dont know what you can do for the gap between the line separating the clock and the weather. Can the green background and the logo below be extended towards that side? Just a thought.... No pressure sir. Once more, thank you buddy.

[Q] Htc maple home screen widget customization

*rubs forehead* ARGH!! this seems to be a endless and un-productive loop What i want to do seeing as i got a htc maple from wind mobile is be able to either remove or hide some of the home screen widgets without having to recode or get into the coding of it. Is there not like a stand alone application that will allow me to do this?
Hi can easily remove the widgets from your home screen. Just press and hold on the widget then drag the widget down to the little rubbish bin at the bottom of the screen and the widget will be gone.

maybe i said the wrong model
thank you for the reply, but the htc maple here in canada as far as i know is similar to the htc snap sold in USA. i am using it to write this, the maple (snap) has a built in full qwerty keyboard and trackball.....sadly it is NOT a touch screen.....
Sorry I wrongly assumed it would be a touchscreen android handset with htc sense. Have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=499 and see if anyone has the same issue

ah-men for coffee
thanks for the link, i was actually thinking about the CHome config but with lack of the great awesome beverage coffee in my system could not think, let alone type, so i am amazed that i was able to post semi-intelligently yesterday (let alone now). there is a huge wealth of information (and apps) for my phone so once i get the config downloaded will look into other apps. thanks again!
again....WOOF.....and thank you so very much! added a good handful of programs from this one thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538152 and i am still looking at more from the huge ongoing list there
