We have an "intelligent icon", it is Calendar icon. Is has the capability of changing its picture, showing us the number of the current date, ok?
I am seeing my iPhone, and Calendar icons says "29".
Well, in that order of ideas, I think it could be possible to have an "clock icon" that shows the current time (in analog or digital way) with an automatic-minute-actualization.
Is it a crazy idea?
If not, who starts the development?
(sorry if my English is not totally correct)

An icon is a bitmap - it has zero "intelligence" - it is just a picture.
The calendar icon on the iPhone is a background image with the date overlaid as a font or image.
And I would recommend XIAMultiTheme over rlToday. Compatible XML-wise, but far superior in feature set and much easier to use.
ok, I know rlToday
But I have an iPhone, and that program is only for Windows Mobile...
I shoud have mentioned that I was looking something like that, but for iPHone.
Thanks anyway.
(I have returned to Windows Mobile, I have bought a HTC Cruise because mi iPhone is not working well)
Posting on this forum asking for iPhone software is like like asking for Skoda tuning tips on a Ferrari forum - likely to get you flamed!
Seriously, put the iPhone to a proper use, like a door stop or a paper weight.

Does anybody know how to have this Plugin?...I know that SPB Pocket plus or Batterypack do something like this but looking for the one in th picture
Cheers
Perhaps it's iLauncher?
Try cLauncher, it's a freeware http://oldsap.blogspot.com/2006/04/claunch-freeware-ppc.html
I'm sure that it's not iLauncher..seems it's an extended rom module..
is there anybody to extract this smartphone style plugin?
aminsamizadeh - it's worth noting that a lot of those publicity ads are fake screenshots. In the Tube stations in London, they show 3 different types of ads (at least), and the interface is different to the real OS, eg showing something like Wisbar icons in the Start Bar (bar at the top), no close button etc.
So the plugin may just be made up. It's quite basic anyway. As oldsap says, claunch could match the style.

i used to see the other ones today-screen on the web. it's look like
a little analog clock like a symbian style it just use 2line of today-screen with date. because now i'm using HTC Home but it' use half of screen.
what does programs he/she use ?
sorry my english not well, Thank.
More than likely it's either, SPB Time (but you have to pay for it), Samsung Time, or rltoday. Rltoday is probably the best of them (my opinion) since you can completely customize it to look the way you want it to look, as long as you have a little knowledge in how to edit an xml document.
HTC Plus is smaller than HTC Home and it can be run with or without the launcher, claiming back even more real eatate on the screen.
thank you
i use the appointment option on the calendar all the time for shift swaps at work etc, i dont like the tiny grey triangle , is there any way to make the full block go a colour? or even the triangle a dif colour, it be great to be able to set different colours but even one colour be better than the grey triangle.
thanx for reading
Look at the posts of degake here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636062&page=2
When seeing the heading for this thread i must admit a spark of hope was lighted in me. My hope was to find a way to make color coding from using categories on appointments on desktop outlook 2007 show in preferably the sense calendar or even in the default windows mobile calendar. My assumption is that this is not an easy thing to accomplish. Or even possible? Anyone?
If colour coding according to categories is essential to you, then I'd suggest you look at alternative calendars, a number of them do that (I use Thumbcal, can't remember the names of the others though) - they all do a free trial so you can see which one would work best for you.
Thanks. I'll check out Thumbcal and maybe some alternatives. I wouldn't really say it's essential so I'll have to consider the drawback of having to get another calendar app versus the benefits of such a function. But now I'm more convinced that there is no fix to get color categories in the sense calendar. If anyone else has info otherwise I would be glad to hear about it though
I love the EVO, and the whole android notificaton system, but am shocked that HTC removed this feature on the EVO.
On the Hero,
when you got a text message up in the notification bar, it would show the message notification and then have a little number showing how much.
Obviously if you had one message their would be one message in the notification bar, and 2 or and so on.
however on the EVO, if you get 1,2, or 3 messges it only show the messaging Icon without the number in the notification bar.
It seems stupid that they would keep that feature on the hero with a 3.2 in screen, but remove it from the EVO with a 4.3 inch screen.
I know on the standard Android like on the nexus one or the samsung moment or droid it only shows the messaging ICON without the number no matter how many messages you have.
I really miss this feature, Is their anyway to install an .apk that would add that feature and fix this.
Weather
I have the stock weather/clock widget. And really do everything I can to save battery So i turn location and auto update off, However I am in the south suburbs of Chicago and I live literally on the borderline of 3 towns, It recognizes the one I live in but chanes frequently, I cant add custom small cities, Their was a windows mobile fix that did this for the touch diamond and touch pro, is their some similar patch that can be installed to add custom cities, or when we are in the city to set current city as default?
any help is appreciated.

Ehh, their are no apps that could really fix the problems, cuz both of them are HTC related, its more like hacking the app to allow it to set a zip code.
Erm, totally off-the-wall random question. Why doesnt the "Flip-Clock" HTC Clock widget... well.. flip? LOL I just thought about that. I really liked that feature.. back in the days. HD2 has it. >.> me = eyecandy freak.
Bump for customizable weather
I like how I can make a shortcut of a certain person on your homescreen, but I don't like how I can rename it on the homescreen. For instance...my home phone and wife's cell is under one contact, so when I make the shortcut they both say the same thing. So I'm curious if there's an app or widget that would keep the similar style but allow me to rename it on the homescreen.
file this in the 1 of 2 things that do not exist for some unknown reason.
A good contact widget and a google voice widget are just non existent, IMO. I am not a developer in the least, so I think we are stuck wishing or settling for apps like:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/br.livroandroid.widget.contatos
I think it does what you want, sort of, but it just doesn't "LOOK GOOD"
This one looks better, but still not what I was wanting....
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.phonepony.frequentcontacts
Maybe?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.moxier.swiftcontacts
Or you can just buy Launcher Pro, as it comes with an awesome contact widget (same as HTC Sense basically).
There was a "contact widget" that is very similar to this and I don't like it. Just looking for something that shows the profile pic and I can rename to "Home" or "Wife's Cell" instead of two instances of "Wife"
BetterCut solution?
You can do this with BetterCut ($1.99 in the market)... you can set up a direct dial shortcut and select wife cell # change the label to whatever you want, e.g. "wife cell" or "wife work", and choose an icon for it including a photo you've taken (make sure you crop the photo you want square first or it will distort when used as the icon)...
What I am not sure of is if there is anyway to tie it too the friendstream facebook or G-mail icon though...
Hope this helps you though
PS... anyone know how many posts I need in order to link or avoid the 5 min between post n00b restrictions? Obviously I can search for this too, just curious.
I just came across this. Thanks!!

I have never found an answer to this question, but I think it's actually a forum-wide rule, perhaps to prevent server overload. I still have search restrictions. For me, it just gives me time to review all of my results.
