hi friends, it's nice to see people helping each other on this website.
now i am in trouble. i am using htc touch. not sure which one, as there are so many touch phones available. it's not first generation touch. i bough it in Feb 2008.
it's on windows mobile, not sure on version. this phone's screen has normal opening lock where we enter some numbers to get into screen. this screen is forzen I am not able to click anywhere on screen - i mean it does not respond. i tried restarting phone, reset with red button and remove bettery for 2 days... nothing works... looks like the screen alignment is disturbed...
there is nothing major important in this phone, can somebody please suggest on how to reinstall OS or ROM(dont know what is this ROM thing) or anyother help?

I really need some help since my phone is not responding to any touch.the hard keys are working .but there is no response to touch screen.i have restarted,rebooted and even tried some different Nand ROM's on my HTC HD2.i have been using this phone since last 10 months.If I could get some help regarding this matter ,i will be very thankful.

Hi Everyone,
I have T Mobile MDA Vario II and my problem is the screen touch on which i use my stylus stick to tap on is not working. When i tap anything on the screen non of the functions are working which means i can not use the phone to make call or get any information from it.
I will be happy if anybody can help me to solve it and i have tried things like resetting and trying to calibrate again.

I have a HTC TyTN which i *think* is the same device. Basically its rubbish when it sleeps on its own. Don't let it turn its self off. Do it yourself. Kills 99% of all known "comas" (which is what its known as) and only requires a touch of the off button
SOrry, just to add:
have you tried the soft reset underneath by the slider switch where you sink it with usb? Stick a pen or pencil in and hold for a second. If all goes well you won't loose any info and it will restart. Then you can go into system and turn off autosleep.

So you have a hermes.
I suppose you tried to flash a custom rom & not an official.
Have you done the basic before flashing? I mean if you have CID/SIM unlocked your phone? If not you may have bricked/destroy your device .
If you haven't already read this guide about unlocking.
Also take a look at this thread. It has everything about Hermes.
This is how far I can go because I don't own a Hermes. I wish you to find the solution of your problem .-
thanks for helping me actually my mobile was unlocked before i was flashing it with htc binkys before that i flashed my mobile with htc ultimate v2 during fiashing from ultimate to binkys error occured now when i switch on my phone the windows ultimate screen appears then becomes black and after some times when i press the on button screen becomes white also when i send a call to this phone screen turns on but no ring and no button functions thats the whole story what should i do now really i have very bad feelings without this mobile its my best friend also what is kitl trick

Why don't you try to do a hard reset?
Ofcourse you will lose your data but it may revive your phone .-
Thanks friend i have done it you know some great person like you guided me and i did it you know what i did i pressed the external ok and power button simultaneously then i pressed the soft rest button and kept pressing both buttons with this bootloader mood appeared i connected it to desktop and ran the official rom thanks Allah i get back my phone really great feelings i also want to know how to hard reset a dead phone thanks friend

i was working yesterday and my phone was in my pocket and was squished against my keys! the screen is cracked... but it isn't, i think its the touch censor screen or something as i can see the screen fine just with a crack in the middle... anyway i cant use the screen to touch
i am using wm 6.5 and i accidentlly pressed the lock button in the start menu and cant seem to get passed the wm6.5 slide2unlock screen!
i try'd a soft reset but it is there as soon as it turns on
i dont want to hard reset because i would need to use the screen calibration (plus i havnt backed up my contacts and have some important messages!)
it is really frustrating i try'd deleting the files in the windows directory but it says it is read only and i cant delete it!
and im a bit broke and cant afford a new screen!
could someone please help

I'm no expert in this field, but have tried to sync the phone and unlock it from there? raspberry tru connect is an excellent program and if your d pad still works you should be able to install it and use the mouse cursor to do what you need to.
I have also heard of booting in safe mode, although I have no experience in it, but I'm sure if you check the wiki of your device you should find an answer.
Hope one of these help.

Not that I know of because of the installation needed on the device. If the ROM you are installing does not have the setup features and are already calibrated then you can install the program like before and be good to go.

Sure thing. I should be flashing this weekend if not sooner. Trying to get a few programs to play nice together and not having any luck.
I'll let you know when I do and we'll see if it works and go from there.

Hi all,
I bought a second hand Raphael on eBay. The previous owner said he flashed WinMo 6.5 and a HardSPL. Something seems to have gone wrong somewhere, because WinMo starts up and shows the welcome screen and then the touchscreen alignment dialogue over and over. As soon as I touch all five points, the alignment process starts again.
I have already re-flashed WinMo 6.5 an 6.1 with the same results. I have also added a WELCOME.NOT file and tried a soft reset. The file just disappears after the reboot.
The boot loader says as version numbers:
R 1.14.25.05
R 52.63.25.34u
D 5.00.00.00
I'd be glad for any pointers. Maybe a pre-calibrated rom?
Also, I actually want to run Android on the little fellow. Could I just try to flash LightNHB and run Android from there?

That's not the bootloader screen numbers, but I don't think that's the problem. It may just be a crappy rom on there. Getting to the alignment screen is a good sign that the device isn't bricked. I would say just flash another rom; use one of the android-starter roms if that's what you want on there.

I managed to install Android using LightNHB, worked a treat. Androids calibration screen seemed to take all five poinst, but the coordinates it printed out where all on the same y-coordinate. The touch screen doesn't work in Android after that (I mean, how could it ).
I'll have a look around to see if I can buy a new screen for cheap.

My secondary phone is a HTC TyTN II. It's running Shifu V4.3 Windows 6.5 Custom ROM with Hard-SPL 3.49 and Radio Version 1.70.19.09. Recently, my phone's screen turned white and didn't go no matter how many times I soft-reset or hard-reset it . It happens when the phone is idle for long periods of time, like perhaps 3-4 hours. It also happens when I download 2-3 apps simultaneously from Windows Marketplace. When I do so, random multi-coloured lines appear all over the screen and then it turns completely white. I still hear the sounds when I slide out the keyboard or when I tap on the screen. Could someone please help me out? I really love this phone and I don't want to leave it in this state. I tried searching the forums for anything related to this, but unfortunately, couldn't find any thread or post that was helpful
