Could anyone please help i have been using windows mobile phones for a few years now and like the fact i use to be able to save individual text messages from people into individual folders for different people.
But i dont seem to be able to do this with my HTC HD2 windows mobile 6.5 is there any way i can do this or use an application that anyone knows of which might be able to do this i dont like the new conversation mode and always try to use the tradidtional mode.
Please help anyone.
I am also very interested in this issue.
I use phone for bussiness, and often I receive important messages - with bank account numbers, details customer information, etc.
Many of those I would like to keep in folder "Important"
Is it possible to do it somehow?
Kind regards, Maciek

Is this possible? I'm new to Windows Mobile and I can't find any way of sending the same SMS message to more than one contact. I've done a search on the forum but haven't been able to find a solution frrom those old threads.
Any new and easy solutions you guys know of? Thanks!
Anyone?
I have a new number with my new WinMo phone and need to let all of my contacts know, of which there are around 100.
I like the following, GroupSMS. There are others as well.
Thanks for that.
The problem with I'm having using that app is that I can't sync my HTC Touch HD with Outlook, it just says "Outlook has not been configured". So I have no way of copying the contact from my phone to Outlook and hence am unable to create any groups in Outlook to sync back to my phone.
Help?
Hmm, Ok, I don't use Outlook so don't know how to help with that. May want to bring up those issues within the GroupSMS thread itself, see if others can help.
In WM6.1 the standard messaging client allows for SMS to a lot of people. Simply press the TO: button to add additional people. The format goes like this on mine when auto inserted from the contact list:
Xda Developers <8085551211>; Thresher <8083332222>; etc
When I am typing out multipl contacts in SMS i simply type the name, then hit enter, I then type another name, choose it and go from there.
It sounds like that is what you were asking but you got a lot of varied results. Perhaps groupsms is easier to use or something but I do not know. You only need what wm6.1 has to do multiple sms sending.
Is your Outlook (not Express) in fact setup and operational from your desktop?
i just start a new sms
click [to] text
add a contact click [to]
add another and so forth
I can't understand how it's not an easy thing for MS to implement, if I have a group set up called 'work', in the To: box, I put 'work' and it text's to everyone in the work group? Surely that wouldn't have been hard to implement?
Hi,
I want to send SMS from my PC using the Windows Mobile connected via Active Sync. Though there are numerous software available to do so, the specific feature I am looking is sending the SMS from excel file in which one column contains the Phone No and another the personlized SMS for each number.
I had searched a lot on the internet and could't find one.
Can you please help ?
Thanks in advance !!!

Hmmm, sounds to me like he wants to spam people rather than sending standard messages - can't think of another reason why you would want to have Excel List prepeared messages. If it wouldn't be meant to send out large amount of SMS, a SMS template would do!
I hate people doing that - here in the US you have to pay even for incoming messages, regardless if it was wanted or not!
Could be he wants to do a blanket "Happy New Year" message to all his friends.
Actually scrub that, you could just do one SMS to already existing contacts very easily so why the need to prepare an Excel sheet.
For remote control etc i use Jeyo Mobile Companion.

Hey !
I am not spamming anything, I want to send personalized SMS to my friends, relatives. etc.
I have to send around 250 SMS on this New Year and has made an excel containing the phone number and the personalized SMS.
Generally in India, people send standard SMS to everybody on such days but I just want to add my personal touch to it !!!
Spamming means to send standard SMS/emails to many recipients, but after reading your reply, it seems that your definition of spamming is very much different !!!
I do have Jeyo mobile, but copy and pasting each number and SMS will be bit difficult.
Hmmm,
I just wonder why you copied / wrote all the messages into an Excel sheet in first place?
As far as I remember, Outlook 2007 somehow supports sending out short messages - it has to be configured once but then it should work just fine.

I had not written all the SMS, just changed the standard SMS according to the person, like his/her name, saluation, etc. Basic text of all the SMS is same.
Excel provides tools like concanate, etc to create SMS with variable fields and that why I used it.
However I can convert that excel file onto .txt file also but the basic requirement remains the same, I want to send particular SMS to particular number only.
Jeyo Mobile Companion
i believe you can send sms messages through the computer using dashwire (www.dashwire.com), but im not sure if you can send multiple at once

I used it and it works like a charm.

Hello all,
I am a new member here and hope to learn a lot from all of you!
After much urging by my friends, I now have a new HTC Touch Pro phone. My former phone was a Skype Phone from the 3 Network. I have managed to save 25 SMS messages from my old phone to my SIM card, but have no way of transferring it to the Touch Pro. As someone who is new to smart phones, I have no idea how to transfer these messages.
I am able to view these messages in the Message section and am also able to view my contacts and SMS capacity in the SIMS Manager section, but simply can't find a way of transferring them. Being a beginner, I hope someone can give me a simple explanation of how to do this?
As some of these messages hold much sentimental value, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me keep these messages, which hold wonderful memories. Much appreciated!!!
i recently discovered someone has been having access to my text messages on their desktop. they know who i chatted with and what was discussed. i am on the sprint network. does anyone know how this is possible? is there something i should look for on my phone that would show a program running on it? would a hard reset resolve this issue?
Does your phone sync with Microsoft MyPhone?
The only ways I know of that would make this possible are that your phone is syncing with activesync on their computer,or its syncing with an exchange server that they have access to.
hi there are a few apps that "forward SMS's" depends on which phone you have... windows mobile have them called "sms spy" or something close to that plus "sms forwarder"... good luck android have a few too cant think of any off the top of my head. lil research goes along way -ttyl
All your text messages go through Sprint. If your buddy has an unethical connection at Sprint then he could get access that way. Contact Sprint and let them know; if being run through an employee then you might be able to get someone fired.
Ick
I would try reflashing a stock rom (in case there is malware)
Change your MyPhone password for before resyching (in case they're seeing texts there)
Avoid using WiFi in any are he is locating. (in case something is being caught in network traffic)
Run without extra apps (to rule out a rogue app)
See if you can text without him noticing.
Good luck
I highly doubt they are accessing your messages through sprint.
Reflash a nice new ROM from this site, eliminating the installed 'spy program'.
Change passwords to everything.
Wifi should be fine to use, regardless, if it is SMS it doesn't enter the wifi network, and as far as I know winmo doesn't use NetBios.
Only install apps from this site, trusted websites and the marketplace. Nothing he/she can change or edit or made.
You will be fine after this.
2 easy ways i know of....
1. if you sync to a server like say your work or personal email account, unless you SPECIFICALLY SET IT NOT TO it sync's EVERYTHING! calls, text msgs, contact list EVERYTHING!
2. if i were to get ahold of your esn and mdn/msid and cloned a phone to your account i would get txt sent to you as well
there is other ways but that is the easiest 2 ways, hope that help bro
cheers,
disco
I would be choking some peole out
Yea... first thing's first whoever is snooping on your ish... fire them, cut that nosy bastard out of your life, you're better off without them. If you're a kid and it's your parents, then none of this applies. Everyone's advice before hand, take it and change any other passwords to anything else they could have even .00001% chance of accessing.
I don't know the exact names but there are services available for insecure scumbags who'se lives are so sad they have to go snooping around like that. If you can gather proof of an information breach you can then press charges on them. Read a story a few weeks ago about someone who "broke" into his wife's gf's email and found out she was fkn around on him, he's now facing years in the slammer for it.
Even creepier than that is the echelon system... look it up
Hey guys I have conversation with another person on my HD7 , I really need to copy the conversation to my galaxy, pleaaseeee help its very important, is there are anyway to copy a conversation from HTC HD7 to Android, or print it ?
Why is it so important that you need to retain copies? Should start using email
Unfortunately no there is no way of moving/backingup your text conversations on wp7 right now. You could make a new document and copy/paste the whole thing if you need a copy for some reason. Or just transcribe it in a word document ect on your computer.
The best way, at the moment at least, is to individually copy/paste each message into a OneNote or Word document in Office.
the important this is I need to show the number of the sender, any ideas ?
there is a discussion here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1072796
about extracting SMS messages from WP7.
But as far as moving them from one device to another, I don't think that is currently possible. If this is for "evidence" like it sounds, the service provider can get you this information, but they are usually resistant to doing so without a court order.
any other ideas guys ?
