Help!! Reading / writing chinese for my O2 Zinc

i need to read/write chinese with my o2 zinc...what should i do?? i'm using WM6 - WWE_RM3070712 ROM...thanks

Hey, here is the URL that provide the Chinese input application. I havnt tried these before because i'm using another 1. I will oso attach for you. So far i use the Chinese.Support.Song.cab is quite gd but their is a bug which not allow you to log in to the window live messenger that originally come wif your wm6. However i will try to install another version of the messenger to test whether it's works or not. By the way, juz to inform u tat once you install the chinese viewer, you will c only white screen when u read ur sms. But it's will fix when u restart your PPC or reset your PPC. Juz try it.

Here is the one i using. Hope can help you because i oso search for them for the whole nite and tried each of them. So far i found that it's the best software that u may get from the net. There's also a software named CE-Star but i heard that it will make your PPC lagging. So i nvr tried since a lot of chinese user hav these opinion.

The above post is the input software, I think you should install tis chinese viewer b4 you install the input application. Hope you will like it..

LocationFree for PPC

Ok - I am looking for some way to run Sony's LocationFree on my PPC. There used to be a solution called NetFront LocationFree Player, but it is no longer being sold. Even the places that say they have it - don't.
Is there any other frontend software that I can use. I don't want to changes solutions completely (aka Slingbox or Orb) since I use my PSP heavily with this service.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. (Or if you know where I can buy that software would work too!) Thanks!

Well you guys should checkout ORB.COM. Its easy, free!, and does everything.
It turns your PC into a server (location free) that just runs in the background.
works perfect on my tilt!

the cab actually wont help because there is no way to get a serial. trust me on this. ive even emailed netfront/access about it. serials only work on one unit and no one who uses this is giving up their code.

I'm a little confused. All the media that I want like pictures and videos, I can easily put right on my phone. The only reason I would want Orb would be to stream my cable tv. After spending the money on a decent tuner card, I could have just bought a Slingbox. What are the advantages of Orb?

i would like to use my locationfree player as it works so well with my psp.

SMS Software?

Hi everybody,
right now I have the HTC Wizard, but I plan to get the HTC Touch Pro as soon as it is out . Beeing a collector, I would hate to loose all my SMS (I probably never will touch my wizard again (sounds somhow dirty)after I have the Pro. Is there a way to save the SMS to the PC (probably in Outlook?) and than transfer them to the new phone?
Somhow connected: My new plan will have included SMS. Now I would like to write them on the PC (preferential with outlook 2003/2007) and than send them via the attached phone.
I think there could be one programm which could do it all, because the problems are related . Anybody an idea?
EDIT: Ok, I found some programs , http://www.dotfred.net/ (PIMBackup) seems good to transfer from one Phone to the other, and it is freeware.
And http://www.jeyo.com/extender.asp (Jeyo Mobile Extender ) seems to do the job, for all questions, but you have to buy it, does anybody know a freeware alternative?

on my old touch (elf) i was using the htc player to play music files
ok there is a tab on the home page but no more full application?
btw i was using one functionnality on this application: i was cutting a part of the music and i was able to set it to ring.
how can i do this with the tab?
am i forced to cut myself the music on my computer and past the file on the windows folder on the phone (old style way)?

It sounds like you need the MP3 Trimmer program. There is a post in this section that has the cab file for it. Try searching for "MP3 trimmer"...

mmh seems there is a problem
i've took the cab, installed it
but when i press the icon on the programs tab, nothing happens. the screen go blanck for a second and then i'm back on the program tab
edit: tried the QvGA version found on a topic in diamond section
work fine but since its qvga it's not usable
the vga version i've found in the raphael forum don't work

tried 3 other cabs in the xda forums and none working on my touch pro
is it beacause it's in french?
if yes, does anybody got a cab working on the french touch pro ?

What ROM do you use? Some cooked ROM or the original stock ROM?

the original french (orange) rom
i'll flash the rom in some month when i'll get ride off the original rom ^^

In this case I think you probably already have the MP3Trimmer installed. As far as I know it comes pre-installed on all stock ROMs.

i've installed lot of application to test, perhaps one of them brick the mp3 trimmer?
i've found a mp3 trimmer .exe in the windows folder, does not work neither.
btw i've found some program in the window folder that are not in the program list
(such as taskmanager)

Maybe just the shortcut is gone. please check if you have a file called "MP3Trimmer.exe" in your windows folder to make sure.

yes i have it but it had the same bug
when i try to lauch it, i can see "mp3 trimmer" on the top on the screen and then it shut off

That sounds bad. Probably some DLL file is missing or something. I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas (except for a hard reset at least).

after the hard reset no more mp3 trimmer.exe in the windows folder
seem that in the orange stock rom this application is not installed and when you install it you can't run it
very strange coz the QVGA version work fine

I wish you luck, hopefully it's worth it! If not you should consider a ROM change. I would suggest ROMeOS v1.40 - it's also available in french.

but before i have to dump my rom in case of i brick the phone

Some general questions related to the td2

Hey,
I have my td2 now since july and am really sad about how they changed windows mobile. I first had the p3300 aka orbit and was so happy about it until I had some soft/hardware issues.
SOLVED
Now with the fancy new td2 I just can t get TCPMP to work or well it worked once with the 0.81 rc i think but not really good.
I searched now for days to find something but mostly useing my td2 and that got pretty annoying.
I am really tired of trying and searching so if anyone could help me with an easy solution then i would be thankful also because I have so what no idea about registry or such.
Also i found this nice Program W.V.D. which makes me want to have a working tcpmp even more or can I use any other mediaplayer and if yes, which one?
And one question to skyfire...
Does it just rendomly suport flash on pages i can just sometimes not get it to work at all and sometimes it runs just fine even though skyfire is really blurry but I read that we can not really do much about that yet.
my td2 is running on the original german xda diamond2 rom and I am just waiting for O2 to finally release the 6.5. Is that usefull or should i just take any cookedrom? If, which one is great? Or anyone any Idea when =2de releases the 6.5?
Also can someone tell me what the different blinking signals mean on the td2 because in the manual of the p3300 were they explained but with the td2 was not much information with.
Also i would be really happy to hear what kind of programs are essential for the td2 which programs do we need.

and all i get is the crash.txt or full startup but no loading of video file
Would be really nice if anyone can give me help i searched a lot now and i just don t have the will power to continue to read 50 threads with each about 40pages and maybe one useful hint.
Also tried to find a wiki but i guess i m to stupid for that

Okey I got WVD to work.
I used:
TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB
Video set to Raw FrameBuffer
And FlashVideoBundle.CAB
Now it works just fine both files are attached
(edit: Upload for the player does not work i don t know why)

I've installed TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB and the
application freezes.
I can't even get to settings.
I have also installed CorePlayer.
Is there any conflict between the two or TCPMP simply doens;t work on TD2.

there shouldn t be a conflict especially if you have one running at a time.
Tcpmp works just fine on several td2 also on mine now.
Download he tcpmp which is attacht here and set this to Raw FrameBuffer
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OTHER BUTTONS BEFOR THE OPTIONS MENU not play not anything
best reinstall it and then directly to "options"

That TCPMP works but the video quality is bad as hell.

pfft installed any version prior and other than TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-wm61-recomp-03.CAB. none work. get a direct crash.txt.
when trying the one mentioned above it will only read the audio codec i put in the windows folder, but not the video codec.....anyone?>
