Unless it works for other sites besides youtube, it's nothing new. It's also still very slow and buggy, so I think we'll have to wait for wm 7 in order to get full flash support.

If you by this update mean the fp7_ppc_en.cab I cannot confirm your statement I got both and the southpark webpage still gives the typical error message about third party content. Did you do something else flashplayer/options related to make it work??

I know you have all been through this before but I need to know once and for all: Can I watch youTUBE or ANYtube videos on my phone?
My phone won't install Flash 7 and Flash Lite seems to not work either. I've tried HTC Streaming Media and that has not worked and CorePlayer will not install on my phone as well.
Am I forgetting to carry the one somewhere or is this a lost cause?
Kinoma freeplay can do this. The free version only shows 6 movies per hit but the full version you can watch everything on youtube

Hmph.
Let me try this one out. Thanks champ
Okay. I think we're going somewhere.
I got it and installed it and yet when I click on a video it gives me a 'Forbidden protocol 403' error.
Where to from here?
hmm thats strange, it worked fine for me on WIFI (gprs too, but very very slow!)
Do you have another app installed wich changes something with you internet connection?
Ummm.....what do you mean?
I'm not sure if this answers your question but I have a gang load of players installed: TCMP, YouTube Play (which also doesn't want to play), vTap, HTC Streaming, Kinoma.
I've been trying to solve this since Friday and to be honest, I see no reason that inspires me (more obsesses me) than pure 'I HAVE to win with this dammit!'
Some fools never learn it appears.
Oo!
Wait. Does it make a difference whether I install these programs on my device or MicroSD card?
I've installed them on the memory card because my phone *****es at me about memories.
On that subject, my OperaMobile also hangs on me. It seems this software doesn't like me. I think it's because I'm South African c",)
Try Skyfire, a browser with flash support. It'll play any flash content!
vtap
its surprising no one mention about vtap...its free and and no hassle..
www.vtap.com
I tried vTap and was unsuccessful with that one too

Hi peeps,
Does anyone know what's the problem with coreplayer 1.2.5 Youtube client when it says Player:youtube://xxxxxxxxx "unknown file format!" when want to play youtube video. WiFi connection no problem as I can search for the videos but can't play.
My dream is hulu on my Winmo device, But apparently this will not happen without their blessing.
But I do think that Joost would be more simple, They seem to be more open, and they already provide a app for the iphone http://www.joost.com/iphone/.
So what do you guys think? is it possible? If it is, Will someone please start working on it? and... Oh please, a QVGA version is a must, I've got a touch
Skyfire will run HULU
A dedicated app might be nice, but in the meantime Skyfire will stream HULU shows without much problem.
There is another possibilitie, you could use websites to stream video or audio.
Use something like http://www.todaypda.com/stream/ with CorePlayer.

I cannot find a working copy of TCPMP for my HTC Pure. I tried using the one from my Fuze (VGA) which will not work with the Pure (WVGA). Can someone please help with a media player that works with WVGA screen that is free like TCPMP? Thanks!
What version did you use? Try using another one I have had no problems with TCPMP.
It was version 0.72 RC1
I deleted that cab, which I used for a long time, and downloaded a new one from the forum and it seems to work now. I don't know what the malfunction was.
It's something with WVGA and DirectDraw if I remember right, you have to set video mode to RawBuffer to get the video to work. RawBuffer looks like **** anyway so I either use CorePlayer to play non-encoded videos or the in-built media player which play encoded .mp4 videos beautifuly.

Download 0.71 RC from here...
http://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/details.asp?r=B52F0876-B91F-4BB5-AC3F-C1AAAB1AC0D4
I couldn't originally use 0.72 as it crashed every time I ran it. That version worked a treat, but I've since shelled out for CorePlayer and that really is VERY good. Worth the money, in my opinion.
is there any way to run subtitles with coreplayer? or any other? divx mobile doesnt...and in my opinion isnt a good player..

No. Only tcpmp has subtitles support....and is pretty decent.
I have looked on these and other forums for a working cab of the htc youtube from the touch hd or the blackstone that works on the TG01 but haven't manage to find a working one. I installed the latest certs and htc framework but still cannot play video. It a shame as the quality of the videos is really good. I remember when I had my blackstone the quality on the wvga screen was fab on the tg01 is got to be smoother and better hey?
If someone has ported this can you be so kind to point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance guys
143 views and nobody can point me to a working version?
Please guys, google youtube is crap. Interface and quality are dreadful.
I have tried the touch hd it version but it doesnt even install. What are the things that I need?
Thanks all in advance
In CorePlayer theres YouTube supports, just change the setting to hight quality and you are set to go.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I know that, the version that I have of core player is the original one that comes with the rom. I have upgraded to the newer version but felt it was too slow and benchmarked a lot less that the original one. Unfortunatly the original version does not have the youtube feature working. I still think that the videos look a lot better and the UI is much nicer with the HTC version. I have tried the TP2 version but it doesn't work either. Do I need anything else installed apart from the HTC framework and the certs do you think? It all installs fine and shows the videos but when I try to play them it says that the videos cannot be played error. Again, thanks for replying.

I don't know what to say but omg. How did you get this ?!! I've been looking everywhere for a youtube app after trying MVU Mobile Browser and youtubeplayer. I looked on youtube and kept saying your device isn't supported (TG01). Google didn't return any results for any youtube native apps for windows mobile.
I've installed it and honestly didn't expect it to work, but it does! The only problem is though is that since youtube have updated their mobile website, the quality is much better than what is streamed on the native apps, such as the one I've just downloaded from your post. There doesn't appear to be a HQ button on the app so I guess it's streaming from 3GP.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for posting this. Hopefully, it will be a long while yet before Windows Mobile is actually abandoned, even though various sources state that development has come to an end for the platform.
BTW, Youtubeplayer doesn't work for me either, hence why I started to use MVU Mobile Browser as my youtube FLV downloader - playback still doesn't seem to work in coreplayer

Officially confirmed from COREPLAYER that Google has changed anything on Youtube and after that, COREPLAYER can't play Youtube videos. They say that next Coreplayer release will fix it (paying?? )
http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2746&p=11146&hilit=youtube+fails#p11146
I've downloaded the last official Youtube app for WM
Only avilable from the phone: http://m.youtube.com/app , and I also think that quality image has been improved, but not for all the videos (I can't understand why...). Besides, looks great on our big screen!!
So, I've just deleted youtubeplay from my device and perhaps Coreplayer will be the next, as I prefer TCPMP
(On the other hand if you have your own videos on Youtube, you can watch them easily with the new app. Not possible with Youtubeplay)

Can you please confirm which version you have. I'm thinking of buying coreplayer latest version but problem is I don't know which one to get because there is smartphone and pocketpc but smartphone says nontouchscreen! Which one did you choose?
Thanks, and does youtube work on the lastest version? Cheers
P.S. I can't believe we have to pay to upgrade coreplayer!! Even though it comes free with the phone. I have a good mind not to bother to be honest because I'd rather support the developers here than let coreplayer have my money. Problem is though, it seems google keep changing the way video is streamed on their servers all the time, causing playback issues with our software.

oh no! i have the same version. my youtube no longer works! why? it was working before. perhaps a new version and developer cannot afford to lisence the old version. however i am on holiday atm maybe the servers could be a problem? personally i think its selfish if you have to upgrade for a new version to get youtube!
