My dream is hulu on my Winmo device, But apparently this will not happen without their blessing.
But I do think that Joost would be more simple, They seem to be more open, and they already provide a app for the iphone http://www.joost.com/iphone/.
So what do you guys think? is it possible? If it is, Will someone please start working on it? and... Oh please, a QVGA version is a must, I've got a touch
Skyfire will run HULU
A dedicated app might be nice, but in the meantime Skyfire will stream HULU shows without much problem.
There is another possibilitie, you could use websites to stream video or audio.
Use something like http://www.todaypda.com/stream/ with CorePlayer.

Hi,
I have a quick question / favor to ask. I often times like to stream audio and sometimes video on my device. Sadly, the site I use refuses to work with WMP on the phone. I believe it is an asx stream.
I believe CorePlayer supports this stream, but before I go out and buy it, can someone please be kind enough and verify for me if this stream will play? http://www.megastacja.net/kanaly/CLUB/club.asx
Thank you
PS. I would have checked it myself if there was a demo... sheeee...sh. lol.

The best I can tell. No. CorePlayer won't even allow me to choose a *.flv file from the Open Menu... hidden out.

Download 0.71 RC from here...
http://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/details.asp?r=B52F0876-B91F-4BB5-AC3F-C1AAAB1AC0D4
I couldn't originally use 0.72 as it crashed every time I ran it. That version worked a treat, but I've since shelled out for CorePlayer and that really is VERY good. Worth the money, in my opinion.
is there any way to run subtitles with coreplayer? or any other? divx mobile doesnt...and in my opinion isnt a good player..

Unless it works for other sites besides youtube, it's nothing new. It's also still very slow and buggy, so I think we'll have to wait for wm 7 in order to get full flash support.

"please visit http...."
and if i click the "ok button" .. i only see a endless loading-circle (via hsdpa and wifi)

If you by this update mean the fp7_ppc_en.cab I cannot confirm your statement I got both and the southpark webpage still gives the typical error message about third party content. Did you do something else flashplayer/options related to make it work??
its probably been posted around at some point but since this is the thread for apps and themes does anyone know of ANY apps that i can watch tv on. Preferably sports!!
ive been wanting to watch the NFL games on my phone and cant find nothing.
even a website that will load and stream on my Evo would be great,.
thanks in advance!!

OK, Thanks. I am trying to view NFL right now.....
Yea the plug in isn't working.. I can't find one..
Sent from my -EVO- using XDA App
The plugin is for desktop browsers only. Some of those streams just wont work on the evo.
When they link to regular flash streams they play fine. Unfortunately, since they are just linking to pirate streams, lots of the sites want you to download their junkware plugin and it only works on desktop browsers. Kinds sucks but usually the kind of people who risk pirating NFL and other big streams are doing it for the money. Every so often you get lucky and catch a regular flash stream and it works on Evo.
is there any apps where you can just watch tv in general?
thanks is great!!!!
TV.com, for CBS shows.

Invest in a slingbox pro hd and install slingplayer and you can watch all your channels available at home on your evo
Slingbox is a little too much right now I think for anyone to afford.. lol..

Hi guys,
Waiting for android on the HP Touchpad, is there someone knows how to play divx (moovies) on that tablet with webos with a free application.
It seems that there only one soft who do that but not free.(around 7€)
Thx for yours advices.
find a video converter and convert to a supported format.
Probably mp4 is supported, don't know really.
A free one was called Format Factory.
as you say there is a paid app that can do avi, divx, xvid etc but nothing for free.
the best advice i can give you is to use the handbrake template in the following link to pretty much guarantee compatibility when converting video files.
http://forums.precentral.net/hp-tou...n-resources/287212-handbrake-preset-dvds.html
also, if you have mkv files, you could use something like gotsent to convert them to mp4 and they should work.
What's the name of the app?
Kalemsoft Media Player...
http://www.kalemsoft.com/site/products-WebOS-KSMPlayer.html
Thanks for that.... other question I have is I have put credit card details into the webos app store and I still can't see any paid apps? help anyone?
nevermind ... seems Australia is failboat on the paid apps...
yeah paid apps doesn't work for australia at the moment.
probably never now.
easier to just convert them.
Try the latest KalemSoft beta for free http://www.kalemsoft.com/betas/com.kalemsoft.ksmplayera_0.3.6_all.ipk (220811)
Here's a really good video converter. It's free just make sure to get the converters suite at the top right.

perfect... Worked a treat.... Preware is fun too! Really impressed with webOS actually.

cool.
i'll check this app out.
it'll be interesting to see how my overclocked TP handles the extra cpu load.
most of my movies aren't HD anyway so there shouldn't be much load.
EDIT: doesn't seem to want to download.

The preware build seems to have a problem that prevents it to install.
Download the app from precentral.net/touchplayer and then install it by using "Web OS Quick install" App.
It worked for me.
Mine installed but I dont get any sound Tried both .6 and .3 versions above.
Tried .avi and then converted to .mp4 no sound but movie plays. .mp4 plays with the native video player but doesnt scale to the right aspect ratio
