Hello,
I have been lurking in this forum for some time now and am leaning towards getting the HD2. I intend to use it heavily browsing the Internet for research purposes and copying selections on the clipboard for later use. Is there a way (an app maybe) that allows you to use your finger to scroll through the pages and also immediately select text. I read somwhere that in order to select text you have to first press the menu button then press the select text option . Too much work especially if you intend on copying many snippets of text. Is there a browser that will let you select text immediately wthout having to go through extra presses.
Thanks

I've just gotten my HP Keyboard in the post. It's very sleek and is great to use.
However, it does have a pretty big flaw (especially now with the QuickOffice update): Keyboard shortcuts.
It has a control button, which only has two uses: 1. Hold it while using the arrows in a text box to move along whole words, 2. Ctrl+3 brings up the notification area, which is odd as it has it's own button.
Would it be possible in any way (homebrew or otherwise) to add standard keyboard shortcuts: Copy, Paste, Cut, Select All, etc? Using all those functions is just a natural part of how I use a computer and I'll know I'll forever be trying to use them.
Still, despite those issues, I'm glad with my purchase. It'll be good for my laptop (especially when I want to use the HDMI out and the lid is closed), PS3 and my Android phone.
Edit: The ability to scroll and navigate cards with the arrow buttons would also be very nice, but probably harder to implement.
Looking into it right now. Probably needs a binary patch on LunaSysMgr, someone please correct me if I'm wrong (and I sincerely hope I am).

Agreed. I managed to copy a web address from one website today using the drop-down menu's copy command, but when I went to a forum to paste the address on a "link" attachment, I couldn't figure out how to to it. Still don't know.
That would be a great fix.
I have noticed with the new version of Polaris Office this tablet comes with you can no longer follow internet links from word documents. Used to be in the older versions (version 3 maybe?) if there was a embedded link or straight internet address you just tap on it and it would take you right to the internet site. Now it just pops up a "Paste" or "More" bubble option when you tap on the links - the "More" button just gives you 3 options - format copy, format paste or TTS.
Am I missing something on how to follow an internet link from this version of PO? Nothing shows up o adjust this in the settings.
Thanks

I am trying to go next slide in slide view but I couldn't it. Gestures, clicks nothing works.
So the Browser's text input handling in ICS and JB is bad. It's really, exceptionally, terribly bad. Have you ever tried to write bbcode for an image with it using a soft keyboard? It will randomly paste URLs in the body of text, the cursor handles jump all over the place, and sometimes while typing with the on-screen keyboard, words will just decide they belong in the beginning of the message box, and if you try to select a large amount of text in an input field, you're lucky if the blue highlight even "lands" on the text. Interacting with forums with the Browser is a nightmare.
But I digress. Kind of. It was so bad that it finally forced me to go out and buy a keyboard dock for the tf300. I have to say it's really great, and I wish I had bought one earlier. I knew it supported things like "Ctrl+C" and "Ctrl+V" and sometimes they work! But it's so inconsistent. For example, I can upload an image with imgur, copy the URL with ease, but then when I switch to another tab and try to paste it in my message box, I get nothing. Ctrl+V does nothing. Menu+V does nothing (other than insert a "v"). Alt+V does nothing. I have to click into the text to create an I-cursor handle, then click the handle, then click the little Paste button. And sometimes, it still decides it's going to paste elsewhere in the message. To add insult to injury, I can Ctrl+C no problem, I even get a toast saying "Text copied".
I'm currently running CM10 (official nightlies). Does anyone else have this problem, or is it a problem with this ROM perhaps? Text input in the Browser is super ****ing ****ty. Lacking Ctrl+V functionality only makes it ****tier.
I need to do slideshows with 20-30 full screen images, but they need to be selected individually or in different orders each time. I don't really care if it is just jps, or a pdf, or a powerpoint slideshow. I was hoping to use a keyboard remote, so "m" would go to image #1 and "r" would go to image #13, etc.
I haven't found any, and was hoping to avoid having to push the "down" arrow 22 times to go from one to anther.
[Q] flag pictures as "favorite" or to "reject" like in Adobe Lightroom
Hi there,
I spent already some time testing several "best" pictures organizers or photo viewers such as QuickPic, JustPictures etc. (the ones I found with some Google searching).
They all miss one feature I need: to flag a picture "to reject" and to flag as favorite with a simple gesture (not from the menu) (e.g. swipe up for positive/favorite, swipe down for negative/reject, or double tap to flag them, 3 taps to unflag or so...).
If you use Adobe Lightroom you already know how useful is to "flag" with the "P" (as favorite) and "X" (to reject) keys.
The feature is useful when you take many pictures of the same subject and need to go back and forward to select the best shot. You don't want to delete directly, you wanna mark many pictures as favorite and compare them later, same for the ones to reject. You mark many, you delete them all in the end without confirming to delete each one of them, but you answer only one time the "Are you sure?" question. Saves a lot of time.
Unluckily the apps I tested are all "old school"/"standard" (no fast way to mark to delete later), one must tap a top menu, then from a dropdown select "delete" and confirm each picture, or go to the gallery view and multi select the very small thumbnails from there, which is not practical at all if you need to see the full screen picture...
One app that was a bit better than the usual ones is the Sony Xperia "Album" app. It allows to select pictures from the thumbnails view and view them full screen without losing the selections when going back and forth.
But no app so far has a "flag" feature for positive(favorite)/negative(reject) like Lightroom. I've seen only "add as favorite".
Especially useful would be the ability to view (filter), in the end of the process, the flagged pictures as favorite, or the ones to reject (to delete them all at once).
I know there is Adobe Lightroom mobile, unluckily this is only for iOS.
If you know something like this please let me know.
Thank you and cheers.
