Doesn't somebody on here have one? Does it cover the entire screen or does it fall short? Seems like this might be the best one available right now...

Sure just got yesterday. In fact it covers all of the glass portion of the screen. For reference there is no reduction in touch sensitivity with the protector in place.
While I think the cost is high, Martin Fields protectors have always been high quality. This is no exception.
Awesome news! Thanks for the reply!
Is this a thick, flexible protector like Zagg or PhantomSkinz? Also, have you noticed any change in proximity sensor sensitivity?
For reference, I have a PhantomSkinz currently, and when I'm in a dimly lit room and make/take a call, and pull the phone away from my face, it stays blacked out. I have to turn the light on to get it to wake up. I took the skin off, and it went back to normal.
Can you test this if you have the MF protector?
Also, can you please post pics of the screen protector in place? I, too, am wondering about the precision of the fitment. PhantomSkinz, Seidio, and others seem to have missed the mark and cut the protectors to short in width AND height.
Edit: Also looks like the include a piece for the camera cover on the back...? http://www.martinfields.com/US/prod...oogle_Nexus&modeln=Nexus One&prod_type=screen

I originally had a Skinomi protector and never really thought it bad, however I decided I'd try the Martin Fields one because I've never used a static protector.
Looks
I must say I'm thoroughly impressed by this protector! It fits perfectly; well almost perfectly, looking closely, you can still see the edge but it is almost negligible. If I had to gauge how big the space is... maybe about the thickness of a sheet of folder paper... if even that.
Scratching
The protector itself is what seems to be a hard plastic. I haven't scratched it yet (it claims to be HIGHLY scratch resistant) but it's still worrisome. I've done a fingernail test as of now and it has survived. It makes no indentation like the "self healing" skins so I'm guessing if it does get scratched, it stays scratched.
Application
The really cool thing I like most though is the static cling application. I managed to get dust on it before applying it X_X. Using scotch tape though, I was able to remove it with no problems! After about 30 minutes (I decided to be really OCD about the application) it was air bubble free and dust free. Oh, I also decided to try and running it under water to clean it but I found the tape a MUCH better way to clean it.
Removal
Also, be careful when removing the protector. It says to use tape and pull it off at corner. I tried using my fingernail on the camera protector and it kind of warped lol. No real problem though, just looks like an air bubble under it however it isn't over the lens so no problems taking pictures.
Clarity
As far as the proximity sensor goes, I thought it wasn't configured properly but after switching protectors, it works perfectly (so Skinomi = no good, Martin Fields = awesome). Same goes with the camera; it takes crystal clear photos.
Daily Use/Misc
The feel of this protector is very nice; I think due to the hard plastic material. It really does feel like nothing is there. Looks wise, it's glossy, reflects a clear image of me when looking at it, and is PERFECTLY transparent. If matte anti-glare is your thing, this isn't your screen protector. Good comparison is Macbook Pro anti-glare/glass; matte vs colors really popping off the screen.
Another issue I have with screen protectors is how well I can flick/scroll, this protector has my stamp of approval. As I said earlier, it feels very similar to glass and as such, scrolling is a breeze.
Smudging is also handled pretty nicely, much better than the "self healing" stuff. I find myself wiping the screen down with my shirt maybe once a day, if even that.
In Conclusion
So, sorry for the long post, but I tried to cover as many bases as possible. My last sentiments for this protector:
10/10
+
Easy application
Washable
Fits very well over screen, minimal non-coverage
Can remove dust from "sticky" side
Crystal Clear/Perfect proximity sensor
Feels Like there is nothing there
Highly scratch resistant? (personally, only did fingernail test so "?")
Somewhat smudge resistant
==
Camera protector
No anti-glare (your personal preference, move to + or -)
Pricy? (16.99 USD + 9.99 shipping)
-
Can be bent and will not fit properly afterwards
P.S. - Shipping was 10 dollars, Fed Ex overnight I think. It came within 2 days for sure though.
P.P.S. - I will post pictures when I find a better camera. I don't have one that zooms in close enough to see the edges and the glare kind of ruins the picture :\
Ugh, I want to put down for this sheild but the only thing holding me back is it's not whole body protection!
Thank you for your review! I doubt anyone will have a problem with as details are what matters
Also can you include some random pictures from the Nexus with the Martin Fields Protecter on the camera? I saw the one on their page but i'm always skeptical
It sucks ! had one and started pelling after a week, I keep my phone in my pocket.....now I have invisible shield and THAT one holds.

Thanks so much for your thorough review. Two things though... first, can you please take a pic of the screen for us, especially showing how the fitment is? I believe you when you say it's just barely short, but am just curious. Second, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed a change in the proximity sensor with these thicker skins.
I'll almost certainly be ordering this product it looks like. One more thing... does it have a guarantee or anything?
Edit: Found this review with installation tips... seems to be just like a Seidio screen protector.
http://the-gadgeteer.com/2004/01/05/martin_fields_overlay_plus_pda_screen_protector_review_/
I've attached a few pictures of the phone and a few taken from the Nexus One
Screen protector
I tried to get as close as possible to the screen to show the edges (Don't mind the Skinomi skin lol).
The one of the camera protector seems clear, but there is one section that is discolored to the rest, that'll be the place I bent lol (bottom half when looking at the picture I took).
Pictures taken from the Phone
There are 2 pictures taken with the phone; one normal and one using the zoom feature.
The picture of the plants are closer, in mid/low light.
The picture of the mountain is further away and in bright light. It's not exactly clear because it's rainy/misty today, sorry for that one.
The last pair is of a magazine in little-no light using the flash as the only source of light.
Warranty
Regarding the warranty, I didn't see mention of anything so I can't really say. If I find anything, I'll be sure to post it.
Thickness
To me, it seems slimmer than the Skinomi Skin because I can feel it almost flush to the metal but it might be my imagination.
I can only upload 8 at a time, so I'll post the others in another post.
These are the remaining photos I took from the phone.
Wow... the fitment looks perfect man. Thanks very much for the pics. Still waiting to hear from Seidio, but this is the front runner. I'll order a new one this week. By the way, I'm jealous that you live near mountains.
Haha, yeah, living in Hawaii has its perks. Wish I could have taken more pictures but I just figured I'd get something posted asap.
If anyone would like to see any specific pictures/angles, I'd be happy to oblige. Like I said though, the camera I have isn't exactly great so quality is kind of lacking.
I'll post again later though seeing how someone had an issue with the protector peeling. I also put my phone into my pocket, so we'll see if it collects lint, peels, etc. So far, my Skinomi seems to be acting like a lint magnet so that may skew results lol.
One last thing of note, I've been hearing word that Martin Fields uses a mild adhesive. With this protector, I guess it's possible that a really mild adhesive is used but I know for sure it's static; depending on which side I'd place a strip of tape close to it, it would actually pull or push the tape in a certain direction. It didn't really feel sticky but I could definitely tell which side needed to be placed on screen; it wasn't smooth on one side.
I have an Martin Fields protector installed on my N1 as well. I'm pleased with it.
I agree with the review here, but I'd like to add that these things do get scratched quite easily. I have one on my G1 and it looks like sh*t after 6 months. It's scuffed and scratched like crazy. Since the MF protectors are not cheap, it's annoying to replace them, but they do their job quite well. Note that I keep my phone in my pocket, often rubbing against keys and coins.
I've had a MF protector on my digital camera for six months and it still looks new (and invisible.)
I always buy two-packs but I wish I could get 10-packs.
Hopefully they'll be available from vendors in the US soon, at lower prices and with cheaper shipping.

This sounds to be the exact same as dcmugen's screen protectors. It confirms the findings of tehkseven's reviews.
I really dont understand why anyone would pay five to ten times as much as one would need to... you all need to try out dcmugen's products because I really haven't found a seller with better quality to price ratio. Search 'epikcase' on eBay.

His ebay seller ID is dcmugen88
Thanks, will order some dcmugen88 product. The material sounds the same. His 5 pack is cheap! If it works ok I'll have a new protector every month instead of every year, lol.
I too just ordered (2) of the Anti-Glare ones from dcmugen for $4.49 shipped.
I will report back once I receive it and will give a review.
Just a follow up review, now that I've had the protector on for a little while.
I usually keep my phone in my shirt pocket but I decided to mix it up and
Throw it into my pants pocket (with keys) for the purpose of this review.
Looks
Still very impressed by the looks of the protector. Nothing has changed that
I can tell; no peeling effect, no lint collection (again, could be due to skin
protector lint collection lol).
Scratching
Haha, as mentioned by another reader, this protector does indeed scratch.
Now, here's the funny thing: It didn't scratch due to my keys, but rather my
cleaning cloth.
Some cleaning cloths burn the edges and while I'm usually
careful with those, I figured if this thing has been taking my keys, it should
be able to hold out; not the case.
It's a very deep scratch, so much so that I can feel it under my finger.
The cool thing is though, I cannot see the scratch under normal circumstances.
I can't feel it under normal use either.
Seriously though, I can't even see the scratch under daily use.
Only by flashing direct light can I see the scratch, and by moving my finger
slowly over it can I feel it.
Note: scratch is maybe 1/8th of an inch long.
Clarity
Screen still displays beautifully and pictures are still awesome.
Cleanliness
Still remains pretty clean throughout a few days, only wiping it down every
two or three days. Pretty darn good I guess.
Conclusion
While I'm sort of sick that it got scratched, it's so unnoticable that I haven't
felt the need to replace it. Don't know how long it will last, but if ever
I decide to replace it, I'll post again and give the reasons why.
I'm still quite pleased with this protector and I don't think I'll ever use
anything besides these static cling protectors (be it Martin Fields or another).
hey Xavina. Are you near kea'ahala pl? looks like the pictures are taken from my old house almost haha.
Nevermind. But the bkgrnd is close.

My old driveway. Anyways off topic ... carry on.
Just ordered and installed Realook screen protectors and I couldn't be more pleased. I have used other screen protection from Zagg and Sprint and I did not like them nearly as much. I will do my best to describe what its like but you really need to see it in person.
Feel:
The material is a firm plastic that when applied feels nearly the same as the bare glass. I did not like Zagg because it felt soft and textured like an orange peel. This stuff is 95% the same feel as glass and I waited 20 days before installing it, so I have a good level of comparison.
Look:
Clear as glass. I have not yet tested what effects it has on glare, but there is no noticeable difference indoors. Also it is ready to go 30 seconds after installing. All you need to do is push out the large air bubbles. It doesn't take 1 or 2 days to settle like some other protectors. Other people in this thread reported a rainbow reflection in the sun light when the screen is off.
Installation:
Before I started I ran the shower on hot to fill the bathroom with some steam to settle the dust. There is nothing that will bother me more than a single spec of dust under a screen protector, I will obsess about it to no end. Due to my rough and dry hands I am a dust machine and I have never failed to get at least 1 piece of dust under every screen protector I have installed. This time was no different. I mis-aligned the screen on installation and had to peel it back, when I did 1 spec of dust planted itself. I used a piece of tape they include in the box to peel back the screen, and another piece of tape to pull off the dust and it was clean. I am sooo happy about this point. Other protectors I used with adhesive would grab onto dust and never let go. Since it does not use adhesive so it is easy to put on and peel back off if you made a mistake.
The Bad:
Back button less responsive. It will still work on the first touch every time, but you do need to touch a little harder than before.
Box Includes:
2 screen protectors.
1 Wet wipe
1 Plastic card to push out air
2 pieces of tape(if needed)
1 microfiber cloth(to clean the screen before and after installation)
Sorry for the slightly blurry photos. Taken with another Epic4G and it doesn't like to focus on close ups.
$11 at Amazon
does it make the screen fuzy?
Perfectly clear. I wish I had a better camera to show it.
edit: I just discovered macro mode in the camera settings. I will post more photos soon.
Returned the Sprint speckled ones that was degrading display quality to the local Sprint store and am awaiting delivering of Realook for both Samsung Epic and Panasonic GF1 camera. Realook sounds like the best option and value out right now for the Epic until Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic is made available for comparison.
a holes wouldnt take mine back
+1 for Realook! Best screen protector i have used. Same experience as Pops.
I also went to Realook after Skinomi. Love Realook! Slick, smooth feel like the original glass. Relatively easy to apply. No screen degradation. Wonderful, all around.
does no opening for cam hinder it?
Anyone want to trade their spare ReaLook for a pair of PhantomSkinz screens?
I also have the Realook on my phone and it's absolutely great.
But since no one actually pointed out the cons, I'll try to list a few:
- It's not a PERFECT fit so you'll find gaps on all four sides. I'm concerned that dust may eventually get stuck in those gaps.
- I don't exactly remember how the bare screen was now that I have the Realook on, but I think the Realook makes the screen a little more "reflective".
- Under artificial lights (esp. fluorescents), you'll notice the interference patterns like straight rainbows. Hard to explain but people with screen protectors on any phone may have seen them before.
- The capacitive buttons become less responsive meaning that you'll have to push them harder.

Doesn't seem to. It is pretty optically clear. With 640x480, you probably wouldn't notice if there was any difference anyway.

I agree with all of those. I only have a gap on the bottom, though. Left and right seem to be exact.
I see the rainbow effect but it doesn't seem to cause any problem for me. I really don't notice it unless the display is off.
I do have the less responsive buttons, especially the back button. I'm wondering if I could slice off the bottom centimeter of the protector smoothly enough to make it worth trying.
Jason
I like it, but...
It's harder to clean than the Gorilla Glass of the Epic. It also has more friction than the Gorilla Glass. Your fingers won't glide across it as effortlessly. Finally, it has slightly rough edges that you can feel.
I should sell my unused RL screen for 5 bucks or something. Do people typically do that with their unused protectors?
Just ordered mine from amazon after reading this thread, i hope it is as good as you say it is. I have used Zagg a few times before, and Skinomi twice, and BodyGuardz on my nexus one. my favorite was BodyGuardz, but for 10 bucks i think it is worth trying this one. ill give feedback when it gets here in a few days.
If anyone wants another (good) opinion, here's a review from ppcgeeks.
I posted my review on realook a while back on ppcgeeks. Best protector ever IMO. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-ep...king-screen-protector-tips-4.html#post1942030
Post #34
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
i use skinomi very nice and slick
I might give real look another chance but I used one on my touch pro 2 for a few months it looks and feels absolutely great however when i took it off today there was definitely some residue left behind. Swiping on the screen was not as smooth as when i first bought it. I just got my epic today and blew the installation of the clarivue protector. I don't think reallook has no adhesive, I think it has some adhesive so before I give them a try again i am gonna try boxwave and clarivue 1 more time.
the best protector IMO
I agree that the Realook protectors are the best. I installed mine a week ago and i'm really liking it. The look is awesome, the fit is perfect and it doesn't really have much more drag then the naked glass. The one issue is the fingerprints and oil residue. I can tell you that the phone is much more difficult to keep clean with the Realook, but that's not big of a deal. I used to just use my shirt or pants to wipe the phone clean, and now i have to use a microfiber. Even then it takes about two to three times the effort to get the oils off. I would still recommend this product.
I just got my real look in today (ordered thursday night) and i have a 10% off coupon code if anyone plans on getting one via amazon before the 30th.. pm me if anyone wants the code...
ordered from same link the OP posted $11 shipped so coupon will drop a buck off.. nothing much but I figured id throw it up here
UPDATE:the coupon is spoken for.
Ok i need to first say Pops_G you rock for informing me about this screen protector, and your method with the shower was genius, wish i did that when i installed all the other screen protectors in my past. On to my experience...
I just got the Realook Screen protector today, and i previously stated in a prior reply, i have tried zagg invisible shields, BodyGuardz ( OLD FAVORITE ) and Skinomi. The application of the Realook Screen protector was hands down, the Easiest ever, i didn't think it could go that fast. And in terms of how it looks and feels, I could not believe my eyes. You seriously cannot tell when looking at the screen that there is a protector on there. Zagg, Bodyguardz, Skinomi all have, in some regard, no matter how small, a orange peel effect, where there are small ripples in the screen from the water that is used in the installation process, they go away in time, but it is slightly noticeable. They also feel rubbery and take away from the graceful movements of the screen. Plus you have to turn off the phone, pull batter, use a water/soap spray mixture, worry about air bubbles, let it dry 24 to 48 hours, and wake a week plus for the solvent to evaporate. I had this Realook applied in 5 minutes, it would of been less, but i was super anal about making sure not a spec of dust was on the screen. lol.
Now this is just my first impression, after a hour or so of use. It is plastic which makes it feel very much like the original screen, although im sure that will allow the screen protector to scratch, unlike zagg, bodyguardz, and skinomis rubber film where they wont, unless you really try. And also it does show the finger oils more than the actual glass does. I am ok with this becasue that is the purpose of the protector, to get scratched and not the actual screen, Plus i have a backup because 2 came in the pack. GREAT DEAL. Second, i only see this screen protector working for phones that have a completely flat screen and have some sort of small lip around the phone. For Example: I dont think it would work best on a palm pre, which has no lip, and then it could be more easily peeled off down the line. But for the Epic 4g... Seriously im in love.
Thanks again Pops_G
I purchased the Body Glove hard case (matrix) and am quite pleased with it. While it isn't perfect, I can't see there being much better for this phone.
Aesthetics.
I think it looks pretty slick. The back is pretty flashy and it looks pretty good on the phone. It doesn't cover much of the face itself, which I think is good since I have a screen protector and it doesn't inhibit the track pad.
Protection.
I haven't dropped it yet, but it does sport a protective felt-like pad on the back side so it won't scar the metal back. The front does provide enough protection that if it landed on its face, I think it will provide enough gap between the concrete and the screen - about as much gap as my iPhone's case which has survived me 2 years and many drops on the face. It's a functional, protective case, we can leave it at that.
Use.
It snapped onto the phone surprisingly well and doesn't inhibit any functionality. It slides out of the pocket very easily (just as well as a naked phone, probably better than a gel case) and only adds a little extra bulk...overall it is only slightly larger than my iPhone 3g, but that is just the added keyboard. The weight added is negligible.
Issue.
My one complaint is that the case is not as rigid as hard cases I am used to. The part around the screen is flexible, and as you can see in some photos I attached, it really does bow out when given the right amount of pressure.
Overall.
Awesome case: looks nice, provides enough protection (IMO), and doesn't interfere with other photo functions.
Also, I have added the T-Mobile anti-smear/anti-glare screen protector, which works great:
The feel is good - right now it might be a little to clean and my fingers don't swipe to great - i'll follow up on this as I use the phone more.
It covers MOST of the screen..you can see in my first photo that there is only a little piece of screen (the bottom of the buttons) that is uncovered.
It hides finger prints and smudges like a champion and doesn't take away from the screen clarity IMO - but I've always used a anti-glare screen protector, and i don't notice any sort of grainy-ness.
Doesn't take away from the responsiveness of the buttons on the bottom.
My phone is yet to be activated (company line), but overall just playing around on WiFi for a few hours, I am very satisfied and would recommend this combination.
I purchased the body glove case, and I do not like it at all.
It seems a lot thinner and cheap compared to other bodyglove cases.
At 29.99 in the T-mobile store it is a rip-off. I am going to buy the oem one...it seems sturdier at half the price.
Just saw this body glove case with kickstand for $11

Anybody tried this before? Good deal?
Here's my review of the Mediadevil's Magicscreen Matte Clear Edition screen protector.
I had a browse on Amazon UK and stumbled across these, after debating whether to get a clear or a matte version, I opted for the matte for the anti glare and slight finger print resistance. The pixelation/degradation effect did cross my mind, but after seeing a review on Amazon and a response from Callum the founder of Mediadevil, I took the plunge.
Ordered on Tues 7th May, selected the 3-5 day delivery option, got an email not too long after informing that my order has been dispatched. To my surprise I got them this morning!
On the padded envelope was a big warning to the postie NOT to bend it! Haha! Normally that's an invitation for them to do so, but I've known my postie for years and he treats his deliveries with utmost care!
Inside was the package were the following
Paperwork
Some sweets! LOL! Nice touch! Thanks!
White outer card with Mediadevil logo cut out wrapping around two screen protectors (so nicely protected and to keep the screen protectors straight)
Instructions on the reverse of the Mediadevil card package, nice way to save paper
A credit card style calender on both sides, double up as squeegee maybe?
A (microfibre?) cleaning cloth with their logo on it (though the cloth felt and looked a little rough)
I normally just line up the screen protector on the screen to get a feel of what the sizing of the protector looks like, and this one left little or no room for errors, looks like just under 1mm of space either side for movement. Cut outs where around the earpiece and home button, sensors flanking the earpiece left and right were covered by the screen protector, and the front camera had a small cut out.
Installation was a breeze, got a few dust pieces trapped under, but the usual cellotape trick sorted them out! I found this particular screen protector more "studier" than others, not sure if it was the matte option, but normally when installing screen protectors, I get the odd crease here and there when pulling the 1st shield away and sticking to the screen, but with this, there was no creasing. After installing, the 2nd shield came away easily without pulling the screen protector away from the screen! Others like to pull the screen protector away from the screen, resulting in you having to reapply it again, getting dust, bending it, etc.
Managed to fit mine "almost" perfect in one go, in this particular case, it just a tad too low.
Feedback after some use, degradation of screen is visible, but it's definitely less than other traditional matte screen protectors, you can only see some pixel effects on some movies. More evident on text based objects, such as emails or browsing the web, but again the degradation is much smaller than other matte screen protectors I've previously used.
Feels nice and glossy when using it, however any stubborn fingerprints do require a cloth and a quick breathe over the screen to remove. Dust seems to stay away, which is a bonus. The anti glare is nice to have, though the weather isn't so great today, so haven't tested the screen outdoors, probably will come back and update this once I get the chance.
Sensors work fine, tested the smart scroll on a few emails and they worked fine, so no worries there.
Price on Amazon was £7.97 (currently £2 discount) with free 3-5 delivery option. I had a quick browse on Mediadevil's website and they're offering it at the same price, although out of stock! Price is higher compared to other companies, though I believe you pay a little extra for better quality. Other companies where offering 6-12 screen protectors! What on earth am I going to do with the rest? Change it every other week?
My only gripes is the cut out option for the front facing camera, it's more a cut away than a cut out, rather than the traditional "O" style cut out for the front camera, it's a "U" shape (pics enclosed), so I'm concerned that the corners will be more prone to snaring and pulling the screen protector away. Previous experience of this was on the S3, but the glass was slightly curved near the edges, so that was a major contributor. Will see how long this lasts till it snags.
I've added a few pictures to show the effects of the matte finish, sorry they're not the best of pictures, don't have access to a DLR camera at the moment. If I can upload better shots or if there are any requests for specific shots, I'll do my best to do so.
Looking to get a Spigen Glas.tR SLIM at some point, loving the featherweight of the S4 at the moment.
Great review! I just got my S4 yesterday and I'm wondering what is that home/lock screen app that you have? Looks pretty neat!

Hi all
After getting very frustrated at not being out to take my new toy out because of a lack of case and protector, I decided to get a quick solution to tide me over.
In the main I'm pretty happy.
I got a Samsung Protective Cover + Mid Silver ... which is really black ... very odd. Supply seems very inconsistent with all cases in the UK, including these. I got mine at Expansys :

Never really trusted them as a supplier and like many used Clove who have been excellent since Psion days. Sadly Clove just weren't getting stock of much.
Happily nothing went wrong ... ordered Saturday and it arrived Monday. Also got Samsung's own Note 4 screen protectors - I was just so fed up with all this will they / won't they fit stuff on line for every protector out there and couldn't wait.
Anyway ... the case .. like others have reported is great for what it is. The inside of the back is properly moulded near the camera ... all the cut outs are good ... and, whilst it doesn't impact me, the mic slot on the left is extended so it will work with Verizon as well. The Note 4 has a nice lip around the top protecting the screen in face down position. Fit is tight, but I don't think tight like the UAG which I was going to get. You can get it out fairly easily but it does take a little effort unlike the all rubber / gel cases. I'd say it is the best compromise as it doesn't come away as you take out of our pocket. Again, as others have said, it provides good normal use protection around all sides and the back (big lip around the camera area as well) but I doubt it would help with many drops on to a hard surface. Heart / Oxygen sensor pretty much unaffected by the case which is cool. It is slightly more substantial than a gel case, thereby adding a little more bulk, but for that tiny bit of extra bulk, you get a lot more confidence in the protection. Unlike a UAG etc, it doesn't make the phone appreciably bigger in your hand and doesn't stick or struggle going in or coming out of a normal trouser pocket. It even fits in a shirt pocket easily with just the top 2cm sticking out. This is really positive, given how big the phone is already. Finger print sensor works 100% with me still but your finger does obviously touch the bottom lip as you draw down ... not enough to move it out of the way though. I do have my finger recorded straight down and sides ways down at different angles which I suspect is why it is so forgiving with me.
The screen protector is of a good quality. I got a Media Devil from my work iPhone6 which was surprisingly thin in comparison to the older ones I had on my iPads. Prior to this I used Writeshields on my WM devices like the HD2 and would say the Samsung one is of a similar quality and thickness. I don't think it has a oil resistant layer ... but it is fine as a stop gap. It is designed to cover the display area and perhaps .5mm on either side and it looks like it goes slightly higher up and down that they others I've seen on this forum. There is a .2mm halo at the top on either side. I probably have a tiny diagonal placement top left to bottom right ... only really noticeable when looking at how it brackets the home button. You get two protectors and I suspect if you did get perfectly true, you MAY not get the halo but given I got on with no dust at all, I will leave a while. Feel wise, I am puzzled that some don't like the feel of the native screen ... I've never had a better one ... including my iPADs which I don't use a protector any more (last two were iPAD3 and Air2). You don't feel any real difference with the protector with finders but there is a slight sense with the pen that there is a little more resistance. Having said that, it is slight and with very light touch using the pen you don't get breaks in writing or drawing ... so pretty perfect.
Like many, I was waiting for a Maverick (or UAG Folio or Noreve or Piel Frama) and tempered glass protector but got fed up waiting. To my surprise, I'm very happy with the above two and may well stick with for several months. Ultimately, I'd rather have a thin leather book case of the UAG folio ... but will wait to see reviews and hopefully some sign of a working glass protector.
Paul.
This was the route I was going to go, but having the phone naked for a week now will make it hard. I think I will still get these, I think the screen protector is the most important part as everything else if scratched can be hidden by a case.
