Is it for Video out on HD? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I found registry key about Video out in HD2.
It is possible to enable feature of video out for HD2?
I believe that all hardware in HD2 should cover Touch Pro2, i think it may.
For video out port, i don't think micro-usb gonna be problem because i found this:
http://www.netimes.com/shop/miniusb-to-microusb-charger-adapter-p-2484.html?cPath=80_731

What is the registry key you found please

Why would a charger adaptor assist in making something that isn't actually connected (within the HD2 itself) work?
This has already been discussed, and the chipset isn't set up to support video out.

Bluetooth music headphones

Hi Guys,
I have been on the search to find a bluetooth headphone that will allow you to listen to music through bluetooth on your I-mate/XDA 2 etc.
I came accross the Sonorix OBH-0100.
Site:http://www.sonorix.com/eng/sono_product_obh0100.html
Review:http://www.worldofppc.com/HWTests/openbt2.htm
I sent an e-mail to the company asking whether this set would work with Pocket PC (XDA 2). They replied back saying that current pocket pc's would need a A2DP (advanced audio distribution profile) to be able to use your bluetooth headphones to listen to music from your device.
Does anyone know how we could go about adding this extra bluetooth feature.
Im sure that alot of you would like this option / accessory. So if anyone could help that would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi, well done on finding the BT headphones, I've been trying to find something like this for a while...
first, on other parts of this site there are links to the following place:
http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
This guy is busy writing BT software for the XDA to fill in the shortfalls, and slowly including more profiles into his BT tools, He may be able to help with the profile problem for the XDA...
Also, are they actually selling these units yet? The URL you supplied only seems to supply 'sample' sets for traders, I would like to know where it is being sold, and if not when it is being released if the info is available..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=6816&highlight=bluetooth+stereo
people say that the quality is horrible if it worked
Hmm I dunno, maybe it is possible to send the audio across the BT link compressed (maybe MP3 like) and do the decompression back into audio locally, this would possibly make it possible to send resonable quality over the BT link bitrate (I think it's about 700k).
Their website claims to have reached CD quality audio.
yeah suppose you could do that but it would require
a uncompression in the head set
it would be possible of cause but from that guy who tried it
it may require more then just a std profile
Yes, a special profile is required as mentioned in the first post, apparently it is an advanced audio digital profile (a2dp), but no hand held units have it yet, we were hoping someone may be able to write profile support for the XDA...
I sent an e-mail to Tobias at Pocket Bluetooth tools about these particular headphones and he replied that he has no ordered the headphones and will work on the A2DP profile as soon as he recieves the headphones.
Hope something good comes out of this.
Will keep you updated 8)
Great news, now we only need to sit back and wait.
I had a look at the site but they only seem to be selling trader samples? Do we know where these items can be bought yet and how much? if not do we know a release date?
No, they havent mentioned anything about a release date but I have heard that many people have ordered the trade samples to test them out.
I think trade samples is the ony way you can buy for the time being ...$220 is the price as I remember and this excludes delivery and tax that you might have to pay.
But I have to admit they look very cool and if Tobias can solve this problem soon, I would certainly order one for myself.
BT audio transport
Hi folks,
I'm on the search for BT headset that also plays back the audio output of my MDA II (e.g. direction info of tomtom nav 3 ...)´. When I found this thread I thought that's it, but there is now follow up after Apr. 24th.
Any news yet?
Still no news!?!?!?!
:x
what you need is a bluetooth profile which have support for
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
ms really dont like bluetooth all that much and their stack lack most bluetooth profiles
maybe the latest vidcomm stack support it
more about bluetooth profiles
http://www.palowireless.com/infotooth/tutorial/profiles.asp
maybe you should look into this product
http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm
but some guy in the forum had one for test and said the phone quality was pretty poor

OK guys!
A short review has been posted here:-
http://www.ppcsg.com/forums/viewtop...t=iphono&sid=6d3d546329a09353b6817f1c28cdca86
From another thread Pocket Bluetooth Tools doesn't work very well with iPHONO bluetooth headphone and the digital Bluespoon bluetooth headset. However, it creates a non-dynamic serial port and enables printing from the O2 XDA II to HP 450CBi bluetooth portable printer.

backpack video out to connect to a 7" LCD screen

Hi,
Would like to have the screen of the qtek 2020 visualized on a bigger screen.
Buying the backpack and connecting the video out to a video in of those 7" lcd display (you find many on the internet) will it work?
WIll it be aligned, I mean on the full screen size.
Thanks a lot.
backpack output is very slow maybe 2-5fps even slower when system is in (moderate) use. Far too slow for video, games, etc only useful for presentations and demonstrations.
ok, thanks for the reply.
What about using as a GPS?
I would like to see my tomtom 5 on a bigger screen. You think it will work?
Thanks and regards.
i've seen ones with both vga and composte
the xda should se one with composite as a tv it cant tell if a 32" tv is connected or something else
same thing with vga
I have no first hand experience of using tomtom so i dont know what it displays and how fast the display is updated but my best guess is that it will work fine on an external display. anybody have any experience?

Has it a tv or VGA port?

Hi,
I would like to connect a pda to a tv or VGA projector. Is this possible with the HTC touch cruise? Because it seams that the MSM7200 processor has the hardware already integrated.
Kind regards,
hqqh
no friend, not have, bye
usb pinout?
Hi,
it's a pity!
But do you know, whether the MDDI signals (Mobile Display Digital Interface) are at the "usb" connector? Do you have a pinout?
If these signals are acessable, I would try do design a converter box MDDI to VGA (if such a device such a box is not available).
Kind regards,
hqqh
The usb pin is used for usb or y hearphone.
The HTC Athena 7500 model have video out.
Bye
according to what i remember from looking at the qualcomm 7200 documents the qualcomm 7200 is able to do vga out. just need to do a hardware mod. have to look into this more to be sure though.
didn't do the research on how it works... but the shop suggests this is an option...
http://www.pdashop.nl/product/37026/47090/3481/impatica-showmate.html
Well, that is using bluetooth. And I wonder if that's usable as a complete screen replacement. Seems mostly aimed at powerpoint looking at the website (http://www.impatica.com/showmate/). Although it also says you can see the desktop etc on a blackberry, don't know about pocketpc.
Doesn't seem to be aimed at playing video etc. But then again, I haven't tried it so don't know what the performance is of this thing. But as it uses bluetooth I don't think the framerate would be that high.
polaris dont have usbhost it dont matter that the cpu support it htc use their own usb chip which dont support usb host
only Athena support host
so not posible to use usb to vga gizmo
Impatica
Hi friends, I been using the impatica showmate with my HTC TYNT II (Kayser) with windows mobile 6, and all the powerpoint presentations on the projector looks great, it use a powerpoint adapter that takes your power point presentation and then changes to an impatica presentation. I've just download the tool to make that my pocket pc screen can be display on the proyector (or datashow).
The next days I'll be using this tool a lot, if you have any cuestions, please fell fre mail me to [email protected].
This is my first time that I post something that can help somebody, so I'll be glad to help...

PPC as MIDI device (MIDI to USB Cable)

Hey,
after playing aroung with my HTC touch for a while as a Musician I found it rather useful e.g. to tune, as metronome, while what I really like would be to use it as a simple MIDI sequencer being able to playback (and maybe record) from my keyboards.
Now after extensive research, I found that there was a solution years ago for the IPaq bus no discussion going on over the last four years.
But given that today there are dozens of MIDI to USB solutions available I was asking myself how difficult it would be to make such a cable which would really be a great deal for making this possible.
My results so far:
There was an adaptor Serial-MIDI for PPC (http://home.datacomm.ch/walter.schurter/Bilder/PocketPC_MIDI_Adapter.jpg)
The MPORT Solution for IPAQ seem to not exist anymore (http://www.han-d-solutions.com/mport.htm) (Description see here: http://www.worldofppc.com/HWTests/mporte.htm)
So maybe a new attempt might be feasible these days? Or anyone had some success looking for MIDI on a PDA?
Cheers
Johannes
Not for external MIDI, but the Griff sequencer is a portable virtual studio for Pocket Windows devices.
Has virtual instruments and effects, and got a good review in Sound on Sound some years back.
More info, here
http://www.planetgriff.com/
Yeah, that sounds nice indeed, even though not exactly what I want, It would really be convenient to just connect it to a midi keyboard and really have a on the go music making solution, but it seems too much to ask for!
rock on johannes
I reckon your idea would require USB host functionality in your PPC, which it probably lacks.

[Q] HD2 Output toTV?

Hi
is there anyway we can give output to TV from HD2 (windows) mobile?
i have seen a thread which was talking about attaching Mouse, Keyboard and even a gampad to HTC phones with some 4 in 1 cable and then output goes to Tv also, but this cable is compitible with specific HTC models. I want to know is this possible with HTC HD2 to have such cables and attache other things to it and see output into TV,
below link is for ref.
http://www.modaco.com/content/toshi...293679/how-to-use-usb-gamepads-with-the-tg01/
in this page they have XDA links and are talking about FPSECE also.
few content from above ref.

At the beginning of the week, Schtruck (fpsece developper) told me he had just ordered a Dicota beat mini gamepad:
I ordered the same!
Once I had it, I realized it was not working
Schtruck just told me: " search for hidgamep.dll "......
And the answer was on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375407
And it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I simply copy here the method given on XDA (for the HTC Athena....!)

No way, the hardware does not support/allow any signal output for any other display than the internal - no monitor, no TV.
at android on HD2 you can
you can do it with android if you have TV support DLNA by downloading DLNA software and you can share all media on your HD2 and watching it on tv, I use it with my samsung TV (support all share)
you can use your wifi to transfert video to your TV via an adapter that convert the signal received to analog video/audio output.
also dont forget to install a programm to your HTC for managing file transfert via wifi
Are you guys sure this doesn't work? I have a tp2 and it comes with the capabilities to do this out-of-the-box. Just requires the correct adapter..
Edit: here's the cab I used to enable it..
Another reason to believe it's possible is because these are found in the reg..
HKLM\\Drivers\Display\TV
HKLM\\Drivers\Display\TV\PanelDLL
HKLM\\Software\HTC\H2W\TVOutCableIn
