If_ anyone has followed my plaintive threads you know my phone works, but, I CAN NOT CONTACT the phone through SD, WIFI, USB,BLUETOOTH… No way to install anything to ROOT. The only communication is through websites or e-mail
1- Oddly I can still flash initial RC29.... So, what if I renamed everything else I need to load “dreaimg.xxx”, and mounted it using “power/camera buttons???
2- OR; what if , I emailed at least an SLP or Radio to myself? (how would I install? dunno). I don't think
Sounds desperate but the brilliance and experience I know lurks here has not been forthcoming for the 3 weeks I’ve been trying. (not you, the other guy).

You say you can still flash RC29 but the SD doesn't work? How are you doing this?
nevermind, I read some of your past posts.
Step one at this point is to get a SD card formatted properly. That is my bet, I have had issues there before. Use a card reader, format fat32 and start from scratch. If it can read the SD for one rom install it should be able to read for any other. What guide are you following (or, have you rooted a G1 before?)?
Tell you what, I may consider helping you fix it if you promise NOT to donate any money to that cess pool.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find it in any searches I did. I am pretty hesistent about doing this myself and the directions are know all that clear to me. Is there a video showing how to back up and flash a Rom? This is including the apps and/or cabs I need installed on pc or ppc. Any chance someone could do this if there isn't one? Thanks for anyone's help.

Couldn't say it any better, directions and every thread on this board is clear as glass. If you scared to do it, then stick to the stock rom. Sorry, but I believe post like these really push members buttons, after seeing two or three pop up everyday.

Try one of Duttys Rom... V3 or V4b(which should be out today)..

Avoid V4 32mb version and read the Wiki at hte bottom of my post
Make sure you install the hard-spl as well - just downloading it isn't enough .

Read up as much as you can before flashing so that you're sure you know what you're doing. It'll be more worthwhile than just flashing blind and then doing a lot of reading on how to fix your phone.

You need to disable the XT9 functionality. There is a CAB around here somewhere for it.

the reason everyone is tired of answering this question is because there is a search feature.

Serious Problem.. PLEASE HELP!
so heres the story...
ive been flashing roms onto my tilt for about a month now... modding it and all that good stuff.. but i made a stupid rookie mistake..
so i was in a rush earlier today to get to work and i wanted to try phoenixs new rom... thinkin i covered all the bases...
i left the sim card in my phone when i flash his rom...
now my phone wont read my sim card... it still works and all..
but it just wont read the card and i cant connect to att..
i have another att phone wich i put my sim in.. and it works perfectly.
its just the tilt wont read it at all..
so do i have a shinny new building block? or is there a file or steps i could just install to fix..
i tried flashing differnet roms.. tried doing the cid/sim unlocker, tried searching..
but nothing..
please.. any help or answers would be greatly appreciated..

Which ROM? I wasn't aware we had a chef named Phoenix.
I handle PR for a ROM called Phoenix, and this question should be in that thread IF you think it's a problem with that ROM specifically.
aka READ JIMMY'S RULES AT THE TOP OF THE FORUM.
that being said. I flash with the SIM in all the time, so I'm not exactly sure what you have done to your device.
Try a different Radio ROM, not a full ROM, a RADIO ROM.

I flash every new rom made and I have never taken out my sim card when i flash a rom. You need to post your question in the thread that you got the rom from.

The market place is not working for a lot of people. It may not be an issue with the apps2sd. There is no ETA and no response from Google or T-Mobile yet.
The rom gives you the ability to send your apps to the sdcard. It doesn't automatically do it for you. Look for the thread titled haykuro rom apps to sd card how to, or something like that. Noone has replied because you started a new thread to get info that is readily available in numerous other threads. I'm not on my computer right now or I could give u more info and links. Just read through that thread, follow the how to, and ask questions in the appropriate places and people will be happy to answer. Good luck.

Hello guys!
I have installed Cyanogenmod 3.7.0 (android 2.3.7 version). It's MALGDR installed.
I want back to stock, but I'm not sure how.
I have downloaded the ROM from local HTC-site.
The rom is put on SD-card, so should I erase everything on SD card and make a partiinion FAT32 or can I do this AFTER I have installed WinMO 6.5?
Or could this occur some corrupt data or something during installl? Any help is highly appreciated.
Also, when I will start installing. Should I use the method on using VOLUME DOWN + POWER ON button, to get into that tri-colour screen and then plug in USB, wait for it to connect and then just drive from computer?
When I run the ROM from the computer it is like random rom install. It has to detect the device etc.. for it to install. This will not be any problem?

I'd be very surprised if you were the 1st person to want to go from a Magldr booting ROM back to WM, so the answers you need are probably already there. I pointed you there purely because you'd be surprised how many people don't know their devices have specific forums.

Wow, that was a real nice thread. But I'm wondering about if I install without deleting partitions on SD card, and just run the ROM-file that I downloaded from HTC.
Can I do this? I'm really not sure how to exceed this prodedure, since I want radio and HSPL being all original.
