For the record...
my Raphael started a reboot loop about 6 months ago. It would start up, load the splash, and get to loading TouchFlo and then restart it.
At first I thought it was a bad ROM or radio. So reflashed with lots, but no difference.
Turns outs that the problem was the hardware restart button at the bottom of the phone. I worked this out as at no stage during the phones startup was I able to do a soft reset.
So, I dissembled the phone and took out the plastic V shaped switch and it worked.

Just put your phone in bootloader mode then flash back to the rom that your device was originally shipped with.
Maybe you have installed some software that crashed the OS, try to hard reset your Wizard and start it over by punching the reset hole while holding CommManager and VoiceDial buttons.
Earlier today, my mogul was working fine. But then it started getting sluggish, so I decided to soft reset it. Then the freak out begins.
This is my process of turning on the phone.
- Press power button
- Get to green windows mobile screen and hangs for a 5-10 minutes. (If I don't have the charger in, the screen turns off and turns on later when the phone gets passed the green boot up screen.)
- I managed to disable all my today plugins but when I try to get to SK Tools to try to fix the phone, i can't even make it past the start menu. It freaks out and the delay time is looong.
- The phone then craps itself and turns off the screen, but not letting me turn it back on. Forcing me to soft reset or take out the battery.
I HATE MY MOGUL!!! It sucks!!!!!! What can I do?!?!??!
Software Problem
Hi
It sounds like a software problem. I think that a hard reset would probably fix it but obviously that's a last resort.

Hi all.
Yesterday I installed a cab file that required my phone to reboot. Once I started to do so, my phone froze on the 'at&t world phone' screen during power up. I've removed the battery several times and tried to restart it but it freezes the same way everytime. I've also used the reset button to no avail.
Is there any other way to get it working or is it done for good?
Just hard reset it; hopefully, you remembered to back everything up before you installed the cab. If you didn't, then consider it a lesson learned. The device isn't bricked, but the cab must've screwed up the startup process somehow so that now the device won't start up.
I've seen a few similar issues on the web with various devices... I believe mine to be a bit different though.
Before today my Blackjack 2 (Windows Mobile 6.1) worked perfectly fine, it fell today and the battery went flying out of the phone. I put it back together and it was working fine. a few hours later i realized the phone shut off on its own. Well, it does that sometimes for me since it is over 2 years old and is quite beat up, so I took it as normal behavior, i started it up, and…. it hangs on the windows mobile green splash screen.
Whenever I shut it down, the loading circle that normally pops up, shows on the screen as its shutting down. I've actually gotten it to show the status bar (signal strength, battery, etcetera, however the rest of the screen remained at the splash screen.
Bootup process: it shows the Samsung splash screen, then the AT&T animation, and then the windows mobile splash screen where it finally hangs. When I plug it into my computer using the data cable, it dings on connection, and my computer starts to connect, but then errors out.
I'd like to try to avoid a hard reset or re installation if possible… just added a bunch of contacts that I haven't backed up, and I don't know their numbers off hand, so I'd have to wait for them to call/text me or until i see them again.
Also, if I have to perform a hard reset, I'm unsure if the phone will actually work after-wards since this did appear to begin after it hit the ground.
Since installing WM 6.1 I have not installed any software/programs/apps on the device, just some new contacts. It's not the sim card, my friend has the same phone so I tried it out on his and it worked fine.
Anyone able to advise on this?
Sorry for the double post, decided to format anyways. I have a trip tomorrow and absolutely needed a functional phone. It is now functioning perfectly fine, boot time is a bit longer than usual but it does boot.
Any idea what could have caused this and how to avoid the issue in the future?
One month ago my Desire S crashed on floor. At first all seems to be ok, only a very small scratch.
After a couple of weeks the first strange behaveour: it becomes to close applications (sense, browser, meteo, mail...). I restarted it and it begins to loop boot even after a factory reset. I keep trying to restart the phone since finally it restarted apparenty correctly.
It worked fine for a week, then it begins again to crash applications and now I can't start the phone any more over the HTC logo.
No RUU, no factory reset, no recovery mode... only the bootloader.
It is possible that the crash on floor brake somehow the hardware in souch manner?
What can I do now?
