Video Recording question - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I was curious, is there any way to turn on the LED while recording video? I ask because while it is awesome that I have flash for still photos in dark areas, I can not record video when the lighting isn't optimal (ie. in a salsa bar)
If anyone know how to do this, or knows of an application that can achieve this, let us know!

Root your phone and download the Nexus One Torch in the Market. Once you have it, turn on the LED flash, switch to your camera and start recording. Easy!

+1 for n1 torch. I literally just recorded video with this method about 10 minutes ago. Works very well!

Flash and Video Recording on Vignette app

Hi guys,
Anyone that have the vignette app figure out how to use the flashlight on the phone and if possible to record video with it?
Thanks in Advance
The flash is easy enough in Vignette - there's a button on the screen where you can choose flash off, auto or on. But it's not "true flash", in that it just activates the light for a few seconds before taking the pic. Still better than nothing though, and certianly better than having to activate it through a menu.
However, switching to video mode just loads up the stock video app, so that will be just the same as it was before. It effectively kicks you out of Vignette so it's not ideal, but it's better than having to go through the process of loading the stock camera app yourself.
It doesn't detract from the fact that Vignette is a great camera app, capable of loads of effects and frames. It's definitely worth a purchase.

Flash on camcorder

Are there any apps or a hack to let me turn on flash while I'm recording video. Unless of course I am overlooking the option.

On FroYo it's an option. You can either just wait till we get FroYo, or if you're rooted, install LED Desire Light, and then just turn it on and go to camera. The light will stay on.
There's nothing within the camcorder app, but i say some people have the LED Flashlight widget, so they turn that on, use the camcorder, then shut it off.
Ok, cool, and I do I have that widget

Video camera blur

So every time I'm video recording/shooting a person's face and make a video or vlog, whenever the phone/camera moves, it blurs and then auto focuses. How can I turn off continuous auto focus?
Anyone please help me with this?
Switch around different ROMs and maybe try the 2.20 ruu. If none of that fixes it then you might have a camera defect.

No I know I dont have a defect camera. Everyone that has the one x has the same problem. But how can I turn off or remove the continuous auto focus?
Anyone please? :/
It would be nice if someone found a solution to this... video recording sucks on One X especially in low light conditions it just keeps going out of focus

[Q] Video Recording and Flash

Hello! Is there any way to record a video with the LED flash on? I've tried flashlight apps but most of them seem to be closing when I switch to camera or video. I hope they'd have this option in the future. Thanks!

no need to download or start flash/torch app... just enable flash in camera app (if you are using stock camera, swipe from left to the right)
How ignorant of me. Thanks!

Camera Autofocus

Does anyone else have issues with the camera consistently auto focusing when recording video? It makes this constant clicking noise when recording. It's really bad on Snapchat. It doesn't even record for the full ten seconds or whatever... This seems to happen on every CM ROM that I have ever used...Is it just me, or does it happen to others?

I have exact issue, in snap and in stock camera. I am on stock room.

This happened to me when I went to my daughters Christmas Play and recorded it at the time I didn't know but when I got home and watched the video I seen that the video was ruined from it auto focusing so much
So I started digging around in the settings of both the camera and video recorder to see if I could fix it I only had to change 2 settings to get it to work right
1st I went into camera settings and changed Focus Mode mine was set to Continuous by default so I changed it to Auto
2nd I went into video settings and in there is a setting for Video stabilization it was unchecked so I checked it and that's it
Now all my videos are great try these settings out and see if they work for you I hope they do because they worked for me
