Ahh I have a cingy 2125, i flashed wm6 onto it and it was unlocked. But then i flashed back to the latest imate firmware and it was sim locked again. i was wondering if there was a way to permanently unlock it so that i won't have to run into that problem again...or at least unlock it for this ROM. I'd like to stick with wm5 for now, so if you have any recomendations, that would be great.
Can lokiwiz do the SIM unlock for these? I used the app unlock part of that prog and it worked great.
lol, really i have googled this before, didn't find anything, but for some magical reason i just found a guide.

heh, a lot of things really aren't very clear about this platform...
i purchased a kaiser that has been fully unlocked with no carriers attached to it. i want to install a cooked rom e.g Dutty on my phone. Do i still need to do the sim unlock and hard spl?. Can i just install the rom update without doing any of those steps?.
You don't need to sim unlock it but you will need to cid unlock the phone and install hard-spl still.

READ READ READ. Trust me.

Phone info in sig
Used KaiserUnlocker (NOT kaiser-supercid - OP claims it doesnt work with hardspl 3.28 nor 3.29).
I can only find a relocker for the superCID unlocker
Can anyone help me relock my CID since I used KaiserUnlocker?
Have you called cust care yet? If not, call and ask for your unlock code because you plan on taking an extended buisness trip to canadialand. Say your company is using Rogers up there and is providing you a phone, but you cannot imagine your life without your tilt.
Then warranty it.
not sure if u looked at the "reverting" thread for this request here

I don't see anything in that thread about reverting CID back to OEM..unless I missed it.

It shouldn't make any difference. ATT is not like Sprint in this matter I believe. They don't care. Just put the original stock ROM on ATT with the Original Radio and it should be ok. Make sure the software is exactly as it is when its NIB (new in box). No customs ROMs or the Super eMo radio.
Thats what I did when I returned mine and nothing happened.
Although I might have been lucky. But in my opinion nothing should happen.
Att is just anal about giving the unlock code.
They don't care if you return in unlocked.
Once again this is my opinion.. Do it at your own risk.
I was saying that you should get the unlock code from them and return the phone unlocked. That way they can't question your phone being unlocked.
I hope this helps

I used the relocker just yesterday. I don't think it matters what you used to unlock it. Just flash a compatable SPL before starting. I too was using SPL 3.29 comex. The instructions were a little tedious.
First: follow the steps to lock only replace file Super CID with relocker.exe in step two. {you must do this before you remove Hard SPL by Olipro, because you have to have hard spl to start the unlocker} This relock your phone. Left to do is remove Hard SPL and flash the correct ROM
Second: flash your OEM SPL because you haven't removed hard SPL you shouldn't need jump spl
Third: Flash your OEM ROM
This should have your good to go. I did deviate from the recommended sequence in that I fould that when I followed the steps in the thread I'd already removed hard spl and it was needed to get relock/unlock to work. PM if you need assistance I will provide you with my IM user name. and we can have a live chat to get you through it.
Fourth: Re
wow
you guys are amazing. thank you all for your replies.
I called them for the unlock code and CID number and the lady said don't worry about it. just to return the phone unlocked and she will make a note on my account.
of course, my account doesnt claim that i called in before that and was issued an unlock code so i dont know how that is going to work. the lady sounded a bit perplexed about my request so i don't know if i should trust her lol
I don't think its a big deal if a phone is unlocked. i wouldn't think it would void warranty. some ppl NEED to travel internationally and they have issues with their AT&T branded phones every day, ya know?
Well let me set the record straight. It's not a big deal. I've RMA returned two Tilts now back to AT&T, the first one I still had an HTC based cooked ROM on it from here (Dutty's Dualtouch v4) and the second had Garmin 4.2, but I reinstalld the AT&T Tilt ROM. But I didn't relock it. Anyways they can't tell, they rewipe it from scratch so the evidence of if it's locked or unlocked goes bye bye. They'd have to try to flash a nonstandard ROM to know for sure. They aren't going to do that obviously
Hello everybody, excuse my poor english, i am french.
I just have installed a cooked rom i will try it for a few days but it's possible that i will want to return back to the original orange Rom. I have the 3.29 hard spl and superCID unlocked (000000000).
Can i just execute the installation of the original rom ? or have i to do something before ? (i have killed a C500 by doing this kind of operation)
Thx for your help and have a nice day.

I've answered to your PM...
Yeah. I returned a Tilt with HardSPL installed and got a refurb back. The coolest part was that the refurb had a 1gb card in it with a bunch of rom flashing stuff on it. I was laughing.
It didn't have HardSPL installed, though. Wonder if someone bricked it.
what should i do?
my old phone bit the dust and was rebooting endlessley without reasion... now i cant unlock my replacment phone.
send a message to cmonex asking to have the new one enabled...
Let me get this straight, because i'm having the same issue, I can't update the boot loader using HardSPL from OliPro. I don't need to SIM or Radio unlock my phone unless I plan on using it on another carrier/overseas, is that right? I have a TP2 thru Verizon CDMA and only use it in the states, so I shouldn't need to buy the SIM or Radio unlocker to burn new ROMs, right?
i am new to this but would like to know how to install hard spl to unlock my phone
