I'd look for a wrapped bottom, if you have a habit of tucking your phone into your pockets. If there are separate pieces it would start peeling in no time.
I used a skin from bestskinsever on one of my BB Curves. It lasted quite well and really protected it - just like the ones form ZAGG, but at a much cheaper price. They use essentially the same material, but they send it to you in a plain envelope rather than a custom created box with all sorts of graphics and a bottle of application liquid. Instead you download instructions from the bestskinsever web site which tell you how to make your own liquid from dish soap and water.
When I tried a ZAGG shield I found that the bottle of liquid didn't work all that well and there wasn't nearly enough anyway. For the money, I'd get a bestskinsever skin over a ZAGG, make my own liquid and use a credit card to apply it. Also, the one time I ordered from ZAGG they sent me the wrong skin and then required me to send back the wrong skin in order to get the right one - not a great CS experience given how much profit margin they have on these, they could have just sent the right product to keep a customer happy but they didn't feel the need...

Interesting. I'm a bit wary of the low price, just since it's SO MUCH lower than the other 5. It makes me think that the quality isn't as good as the others, perhaps in strength of material or length of life.
I did get a chance to email Ghost Armor and here's what they said:
Dear Paul,
You actually get charged the price of the screen but receive the Full Body.
I now see that it says:
Motorola Droid Launch Special: Receive the Full Body Droid Kit for the
Price of the Screen! Save $10.00!
I don't know why it says "Motorola Droid" and not Google Nexus... but the
rest is true. You purchase the Nexus kit for the price of the screen right
now, that's all. Its a special that we have going on.
Regards,
Ghost Armor Customer Service
Speedy reply, and good deal going on.
Now I'm thinking PhantomSkinz vs Ghost Armor since they're discounting prices at $18 (at Amazon) and $15, respectively, for a full body kit.
Added a poll!
If possible, I'd love to hear comments on why you picked the one you did (look, feel, price, customer service, etc)
I just ordered a phantom skinz
its only $16 for two... as they have a coupon right now, winter33
Clear Protector
I just purchased and installed a CLEAR PROTECTOR screen protector. I purchased it on Ebay for $9.95. I previously installed a Zagg Invisible Shield on my MyTouch 3G and it's basically the same material. What I don't like about those "Military Grade", "Helicopter Blade" materials, is that they all feel sticky when you slide your finger over them. It doesn't feel smooth at all. That makes it difficult to use the touch screen. The screen protector included with the MyTouch was great. Does anyone know where I can find one of those for the Nexus 1? Ohh, and do any of those screen protectors protect the camera? It seems like they all have cut outs, but no protection.
Remember... The PhantomSkinz offer right now is for ** 2 ** full setups. And right now you get both for $15 bucks.
I just installed the whole body protection on my N1. I think it came out nice. I took my time and used a hair dryer. I want to let it sit for the next 24 hours before "fondling" it too much.
I have used both BSE and Phantom Skinz, and by far phantom skinz are the smoothest and clearest I have ever seen. Someone at androidcommunity.com reviewed the Phantom Skinz with pics. My G1 came out just as clear as this one. http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f13/phantonskins-installed-w-pics-9781/
My kit for the N1 should be here soon and I will post some pics.
Wow, it seems like PhantomSkinz is the big winner, especially at reduced price with not one, but two skins. Hard to argue against that!
But then, BSE is higher on the poll. Hmm
What's funny is that I never hear anyone say anything good about Invisible Shields.

I always had good experiences with Invisible Shield and Clear Protector (they're the same product...). I have one on my G1's screen and it's outstanding. I bought the Phantom Skinz for the G1 because I assume it's the same or similar material to IS and CP. The fact that it ran less than $6 didn't hurt either.
I used both Invisible Shield and Bodyguardz on my iPhone. Sticky screen protectors don't last forever, mostly due to corners lifting and/or lint.
When I changed my IS the skin was absolutely perfect and unmarked. Bodyguardz didn't fare so well and was noticeably scratched quickly, even though I always take great care of my devices.
Both did an excellent job of protecting the screen, not a single mark there. But I know I will go with Invisible Shield again for my Nexus - scratches on the screen protector are annoying!
BSE is awesome :] I've used it on every expensive electronic I ever had.
I bought full body wrap from Clear Freak Technologies or something like that. It cost around 15$ with shipping, but quality is sh**.
I just ordered the 2 for $16 from Phantom Skinz, will report back after the install.

I did the same. The testimonials in here sound legit. I even went on other forums and saw nothing but good things about phantom skinz. Bought today and already shipped out. Looks good so far.
well i did the special on the phantom skins too. I also ordered the hard case from amzer but realized that the hard case from them isnt shipping till the 31 of january. I dont like not having something on this to protect it. so hopefully the PS are good. These kind of kits scare me water and phone dont mix...

I got my PS screen-only kits y'day.. only 2 days from when I ordered. They seem like the Invisible Shield and Clear Protector's I've used before, but totally smooth. I'll probably install one tonight. Anyway, I think that plus the Amzer case should be a nice combo for protection.
My paranoid install method for wet protectors involves sealing everything but the screen with a combo of painters masking tape and plastic, lol... so it's a tad time consuming for someone as anal retentive as me.
Take some pictures if you guys can!
Also, wow @ BSE taking the lead. I'm wondering though, do people like BSE strictly because it's so much cheaper than the others?
Has anyone here used BSE and another brand, and is able to share their experiences? Especially BSE vs Phantom Skinz
I ordered a zagg on friday ill let you know how it is when i get it but my friends use them on their iphones and g1's and i like the quality and lifetime warranty is nice too.

I realize its the most popular amongst the people on this forum, and I purchased it based off of the pole for protectors here. Here are my complaints though.
First of all, the package containing the sponge broke open in shipping and leaked everywhere. But I added some water as the directions say and proceeded with the install.
My second problem was with installation. It seemed no matter how many times I wet my fingers they would either leave a fingerprint or my fingers would stick to the shield. Centering each piece a pain. Maybe I didn't wet it enough? Not sure. But I had to peel it off and start over several times on certain pieces. The corners were the hardest, and even with the "palming" method, It still bubbles out a bit on the edges.
This next part is not so much a complaint I guess. I was drunk in Vegas at a Rugby tournament, and I put my N1 in the same pocket as my wallet which has a metal money clip on it. Needless to say the money clip scratched the phone on the face, but the Zagg Shield DID do its job here. It protected the phone from what otherwise would be a deep scratch. However, there is now a slight bubble where the impact happened. How do I get that bubble out? Can I peel off and re-apply?
In any case, I do manual labor and I think I want something more likely to protect the N1 in case of a drop. Possibly a silicon case? any of you guys have any ideas? Price is not really on object. I have no problem paying $20-$30 for a good case.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I've been looking at the Case-Mate Nexus One Tough case potentially. I've been happy with hybrid cases in the past for other phones. Should be well protected if you put on the screen protector as well. I've been waiting for someone to put up a review on here before committing to buying cuz it's $30 it but it sure looks like the nicest N1 case I've seen so far.
I have a similar zagg clone (clear-coat). I like it, but you are right about them being hard to install. Mine came defective with dents in them, but the company is unreachable to cash in on the guarantee. I had to dispute charges.
Zagg has local stores here that will do the install, so I will be getting one of those soon. It should solve the installation and defect problems.
Overall, I like the shield, but dents like you have require replacement since the glue has set. You cannot reapply after removal.
As for cases, be careful. I bought a case from pdair.com and got screwed. They thing did not fit and it costs 3X more to ship it back to china for a refund. I am waiting for cases to show up in stores.
I'm pretty unimpressed with my Zagg screen shield as well, it seems to have reduced screen visibility a fair amount. I also had the same problem with the sponge packet bursting in shipping. The card you use to smooth the screen over seems to have caught a couple of times on the uneven surface causing it to look... splotchy. And with the final product my finger grips the screen too well making it difficult to draw/drag smoothly over the surface.
Even with a silicon case you're still going to need a film shield to protect the screen if you're knocking your phone around a lot. I'm using the Innocase II which fits really well without making the phone huge (which will annoyingly dig into the sides of any full width film screen shields too).
the zagg skin is alive! it will heal itself over time
When I applied mine, the spray prevented any fingerprints (so weird/cool) but that was for my magic, no need for nexus screen protector
i just had the invisibleshield installed today at my local mall kiosk (baybrook mall in clear lake Texas) it was 21.65 with tax, shield, and install cost included. not bad so far. its a great deal and i have one on my iPod Touch, G1, myTouch3g as well as my N1 now.
only complaint about the screen protector from today is that it was defective. im gonna wait and see if these imperfections go away, if not, thats why Zagg offers the invisible shield warranty.
I use to be a supporter of zagg.
Now that I have had a couple of touch screen phones, I am no longer a happy supporter.
Yes, zagg does it's job BEAUTIFULLY. I've had my phone jump from my hands and skid across gravelly concrete. Not a scratch on it. And the one time I actually managed to scratch zagg, still not sure how--some combination of fluid and fingernail trying to clean a smudge.... which leads to why I will no longer purchase zagg.
With use, where you touch the most, black smudges start to form on the zagg. These DO NOT come off. They are uncleanable. And they get darker and darker with use. I've had my Nexus now for a month and a half and black smudges from left to right in the middle of the screen and from top to bottom on the right hand side of the screen. This happened on My G1 and my MyTouch as well.
I can find no solution to this issue and since they are not scratches, zagg does not honor the lifetime warranty. I no longer recommend zagg.

If you want something that will protect your phone from serious impact I would go with this high-duty case. Its kinda expensive but from what I can tell by far the sturdiest out there. Case Mate Google Nexus One Tough
If you want something a little thinner with still pretty sturdy protection I would go with the Seidio Innocase II
If you are looking for something that might not protect as well from serious drops but still offers great bump and scratch protection at an affordable price I'd order the Nexus One Candy Skin Case That's the one I just ordered. Hope this helps. Do us a favor and post an update/review once you've gotten your case.
I really wanted to be happy with the Zagg on my iPhone. The material was such an interesting piece of tech. I ordered the full phone skin - front and back.
The installation is, of course, a pain. I wasn't really worried about that. You only have to install it once.
I was religious about following the directions, and installed it with no particular problems, then let it dry for 12 hours or so. After this, there were thin vertical lines running up the phone's screen. Looked like some of the liquid got trapped under the screen protector even though I was extremely careful with the squeegee and pushed quite hard to get everything out.
I contacted Zagg, and they gave me B.S. about not letting it cure for 24 hours. They claimed that using the phone without letting it dry for 24 hours was the cause of it. Which isn't even logical, but to their credit, they offered a one-time complimentary replacement if I paid shipping.
So I was now out the cost of the skin, plus shipping times two. But I was again okay with this if it worked as well as they said.
The second installation had no problems with the lines on the screen. It only took a few days, though, before dirt and debris began working their way under the protector. The back was the worst - the edges began peeling away and there was nothing I could do to get them to stick. The front skin got crap under the edges and the edges never properly stuck back down after they were cleaned. But, of course, you can't remove it and re-apply. Couple all of that with the orange-peel effect of the screen and the reduced sensitivity and I was just thoroughly unimpressed with the whole setup. Protection was fine but it was constantly peeling up and dirt was getting trapped under it. I gave up and ditched it.

Soap and water, bruh.
Not on the Zagg, but on your hands like once or twice a day.
nexus one gel case
Not allowed to post links yet but I purchased this very good gel case from eBay for 9.95 w/ free shipping. Looks great. Its a smoked colored case. There's also more colors. I can't confirm the quality of the hard cases but I can assure you that the one I have works great.
The seller is pawavenue...check it out
Although this time round I used Bodyguardz, a lot of people on this forum swear by Best Skins Ever (BSE) due to it using a similar (same?) material from zagg but at a quarter of the price.
I was open minded about the Zagg product because I love my customized zagg skin with a pic of my daughter protecting my phone....my baby protecting my baby lol....
I first had the BSE full set up, which I pretty much botched up on my own impatience so I opted for the Zagg products. First I removed the BSE screen guard and put on the invisible shield on. The fit to me was more off than the BSE. I know nothing will completely fit the N1 but come one, get close! Second, the touch was way too bumpy compared to my BSE and I said screw it and installed another BSE screen guard on and now completely satisfied.
I know have a customized Zaggskin, and a BSE screen guard, best of bost worlds IMO.
Now only if BSE would customize skins, I'd be all over it lol. I admit, the Zaggskin is not a perfect fit either, but it does cover most whereas the BSE full body shield covers the corners a little better.

Hmmm... I'd had an invisibleSHIELD on my G1 for about 5 months and it still looked great. I'd never had a black smudge..
Zagg Invisible SHIELD Cart Info
I own a Zagg cart here in Houston at West Oaks Mall. The black smudges everyone is complaining about is a defect in the shield. This is covered under Zaggs warranty. You can take your shield to a local mall with a Zagg Cart in it and have it replaced for a small install fee. I have seen what everyone is talking about but it is a very rare occurrence. You can take your shield back for any problems such as discoloration, scratches, indentions, or any flaws that have happened to the shield. Look on Zaggs website to find the closest Zagg mall cart to get this taken care of. I am not promoting myself but this should imply for all Zagg carts. We are here to help anyone who wishes not to earthier install the shield themselves or to get warranties taken care of for existing Zagg shield owners. The shield WILL look bad if not properly installed. At our location we are very picky how a shield leaves and we even include a 15 labor warranty on all new purchases for our customers. Basically we screw it up we eat it.( not literally. lol) I have been using this product long before my wife and I bought this franchise. We bought this because we believe in the product as long as it's installed right the first time. Also for those who cannot get the shield to dry fast enough try to use a hair dryer that does NOT have a ion setting or one you can shut off. This will help things go a lot easier for smaller devices such as a 3rd Gen iPod touch. All I am asking is to give it another chance for those who have already tried it. If you have a hard time installing it then take it to a Zagg cart. We do this literally all day long, and every day. We are kind of good at it. By the way if you want to know if you have the shield properly installed there is only one way to tell....NO BUBBLES WHAT SO EVER. Even small bubbles can cause a headache later. If anybody has a problem with the shield come see us. If you do not have a receipt do not worry about it. Just come to us or any InvisibleSHEILD mall cart. I have this on my Ipod Touch 4th gen, iPad, iPhone 4, MyTouch 3G Slide, DSi XL, PSP, Zune HD, and I have a Zaggskin on my 17" Macbook Pro. I have had the shields on my devices for a while and I have had no issues with it. The product does work. By the way I have joined this site to learn how to root my MyTouch 3G Slide. So for those of you thinking I used this space to promote myself or other Zagg carts is wrong. I just wanted to let y'all know what I know about everything to hopefully help someone out. This site has a ton of information so I thought I would provide some of my own is all.
I absolutely hate mine.
While I must admit, it has protected my phone from screen scratches and back scratches, it doesn't protect THE CORNERS (which are most likely to get damaged from a drop) and on top of that, it starts to turn a brownish color over time (I installed mine RIGHT after I bought it in February last year). It looks nasty. I peeled half of it off a few weeks ago (kept the screen and the back only).
I don't like actual cases, because dirt can get behind them and eventually scratch it up bad. This seemed like the best possible option, but my overall satisfaction has been maybe a 5/10.
Otterbox defender , with a dcmugen88 antiglare screen protector is uber.

i love zagg skins. i have used them on 5 different phones without any issues. i admit the first installation was tricky and took me half an hour to get it perfect, but just like anything else, it gets easier with experience. if you're not very good with decals, buy one from a kiosk or best buy and have the salesperson install it
zagg skins are well worth the money. i have dropped a phone from 3 feet onto concrete and there wasn't a scratch on it
I bought the full body protection 2 weeks ago for my blackberry torch and the phone fell out of my pocket onto concrete and the scratch went through the invisibleshield and scratched my phone! I called their customer service line and the operator that I was speaking to said that it is scratch proof from a certain altitude ... so how does it still make sense to call the product scratch proof?
Should get my desire HD tomorrow and get shut of my iphone 4 but I just can't decide on a case for the thing, I'm leaning towards the case mate tough (had one for both my iPhone 4 and Galaxy S) but I find it a bit on the industrial side, the pop looks nicer but to be honest looks twice the size of the tough, I'm even contemplating just using a screen protector plus official HTC slip case.
If anyone has experience with any or all of those cases your input would be appreciated. Thanks.
I heard a lot of people are using otterbox defender and otterbox commuter. Try searching for it, you might like it.
Wouldn't get anything other than an otterbox commuter from now on for my phones, very impressed with this one

I've bought a few and my favourite is the Case Mate tough. You wont be disappointed with that one. I have recommended it a few times and others have got it and they are very happy. It improves the DHD feel and obviously offers good protection as its a dual case.
I also have the Case mate pop case thats good too. But I would say go for the Case mate Tough.

I'm just wondering and not trying to piss anyone off, but... You've got a phone made out of one-piece metal, it's big enough as it is without any extra and it's almost all screen. So the question here remains why you wan't to have a case for it to begin with? I've had mine since launch and all I've got is an invisibleshield screen protector (just to keep excess fingerprints off, which it does very well, and a little scratch protection just in case) and there's not a single scratch or mark in it anywhere. I've drop it a few times and nothing. I'm just saying that all kinds of bumpers etc are an iphone thing and really not needed with the DHD, which just makes it even greater! Just flash it off as it is Just my 2 cents though.
There are quite a few threads about different cases.
I prefer this one which I reviewed in this thread. They are available under a different name for much cheaper on eBay according to other users. I love the look, lines and feel of the phone with it on.

Yeah that's the kind i got for £3 odd off of amazon, it doesn't add much to the size but it keeps it safe when I drop it and provides some protection to the screen as well
I've got the Otterbox Commuter. Feels well protected but the only draw back with this case is that the silicon cover is a dust magnet (like others made of the same material I'd imagine). It can be a little nagging when trying to pull the phone out of your pocket as well. The weight and feel of the phone in your hand is improved in my opinion -- it doesn't feel as delicate and slippery as the phone is without the case. The plastic casing is rugged, but rather smooth. If you have a dry hand, the potential of it slipping from your hands is there. I like the Case-Mate Pop idea of having a grip on the long edge of the phone.
Also, try to find an alternative cloth/material to wipe the screen down prior to applying the screen protector. The one that comes with it pretty dusty and ruined my screen protector. Use a credit card and not the flimsy applicator card.
If I'm not mistaken, the screen protector that comes with the Otterbox looks nearly identical to the ones you can get off dealextreme (specific to the DHD) for less than a couple of bucks. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in fact the same!
I have a few days to return the case. I'm 80% convinced I want to keep it only because the dust accumulation and "pocket stick" is bothering me enough. If it were a ~25$ case, I could live with it... but for $44 CAD, it's a little tough to swallow.
I'm wondering if there are any fashionable aluminum casings for the HTC Desire (I saw one, but looked a little odd with the belt-clip adapter on the back of the case). I'm also wondering if aluminum interferes with the phone's radio.
Ended up going for the pop, think it's the best looking of the lot offering the same level of protection. I will let you know how I get on with it, cheers for the input guys.

The Case mate Tough in particular greatly improves grip and feel of the phone, without it the DHD feels quite slippery and it just offers good protection.
I think increasing the grip is a bit more important (sorry that I'm posting it on this thread). But the way the DHD was designed, it's a bit awkward to hold which kinda bothers me.
so yeah, getting a case = definitely worth it =)

There are quite a few threads about different cases.
I prefer this one which I reviewed in this thread. They are available under a different name for much cheaper on eBay according to other users. I love the look, lines and feel of the phone with it on.

Hi Grant, just wondering where you got the tpu case, from Japan? I know they do very precisely cut case with fine finish so want to buy one as well. Thx!

Got my device yesterday and I'm still thinking of getting a leather case to protect my device against slips. But I'm also looking at hard rubber casing.
S-line curve gel case black
i just received S-line curve gel case
http://cgi.ebay.ch/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ht_1588wt_1139
its a cheap good case, stylish , doesnt add bulk , adds very good grip on that mesh at the phone's sides , buttons r easy to use and they kinda pop out of the case so they r easily reachable (unlike other gel cases).
definitely recommend it as its very cheap and offers good protection and doesnt distorts the shape of the phone much.

Yes. I got it from Yodobashi Camera (a store) in Japan.
Funnily enough, I'm supposed to be reviewing 2 more cases from the same store today, my day-off (if I can wake up). They are both SoftBank branded cases. One is a TPU case and is almost the same but is different, and one is a leather one (which to be honest I don't like).

Got my Skinomi skins today and after applying I have to say I'm impressed. I was eager to see if it would fit in the dock with it on too, and it does. It's just a little tight but it does fit fine.
When the skin arrives it comes shipped in a tube, since it's rolled up in the tube the ends of the skin want to peel up. If it was rolled the other way it would of been much better. After learning from the tablet skin I re-rolled the dock skin the other way and put it back in the tube for 30 minutes or so and that helped.
My advice when putting the skin on is to only use the application fluid on the large main skin parts (top for the tab and bottom for the dock), and be sure NOT to get any fluid on the small edging/side parts of the skin. Once the main back part is on, bubble free and aligned it will be easy to stick down the sides if there's no fluid on them. In my case I put the fluid all over and the smaller side parts kept peeling themselves up and it took a lot of holding down till they were stuck (the whole process took me about an hour for the tablet).
Lesson learned, on the dock skin I only used a small amount of fluid on the main bottom part and none on the little parts and it was a much faster process. Using a hair dryer will aide in the drying time and also makes the skin more malleable so it doesn't want to peel itself back.
The tablet skin comes with a clear screen protector that I'm not using. I use an anti-glare screen protector (3 pack available on Amazon for $14.95) and I like this set up a lot. A few other reviews for this skin said because the clear screen protector is a bit sticky when you close the tab the screen sticks to the skin on the dock and it cause bubbles in the screen. With the very non-sticky screen protector I have, this isn't an issue.
All-in-all I'm impressed with the skin. It's a very tough vinyl, has a great texture to it (actually feels like carbon fiber and makes for a nice feel in the hand) and provides good coverage on almost all of the tablet and dock.
The only down side is the set up (especially if you use a different screen protector) is a little pricy... But, if you want to protect your tablet and dock while making the setup look bad @ss this is the way to go!!
UPDATE: A small part of the corner of the skin (a very thin strip that covers the corner on the top of the tablet) came off, was torn by the case. I contacted Skinomi as the skin has a lifetime warranty and they're sending me a whole new skin for free. Prompt customer service too. Good company...

This would do absolutely nothing in the event of a drop!! lol. But, I don't like to always have my tablet in a case and this will help prevent scratches when I'm using it around the house out of the case (sometimes I take the tablet with me while it's docked too and I only have a neoprene case for this, this skin helps once I pull out the tablet in this situation). Great scratch protection, no protection for drops... And it looks cool, and feels cool, and is cool

I have a case very similar to the Poetic case (2nd link) although it doesn't rotate. I didn't need to rotate the screen as I rarely use it in portrait mode and wanted as slim a case as I could get. I got the Blurex Slim Folio Case on Amazon for $21.99 and I think it's a great case! Slim, good fit, and I think it provides about as much protection as you can get with a case of this nature.
I actually have the 1st case you linked to on order, it will be here tomorrow. Not so sure about it but I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I'll update this reply once it gets in!
UPDATE: Got the Poetic Tablet/Dock case today and I like it. It does add a LOT of thickness to the whole setup but it provides good coverage and I like the little pockets for business cards and other notes. It also has two pen holders (good for styli). Looks professional too. If you don't mind a thick setup I'd recommend this case!
Thanks for the review. After debating for some time, I ended up ordering the brushed steel one. I hope it looks decent
How does it feel when holding the tablet(without the dock)? Does it feel like it might peel where you hold it on the edges?

ACTUALLY....it will do alot of good in a drop. The innitial impact won't be saved, however when you drop something it usually bounces and/or slides. The full skins will mitigate most of the damage from all the scuffs, dings, and scratches that come after the initial impact. I dropped my Galaxy Note and the corner has a pretty good ding, but the skin was skuffed to hell and looked like ****. I was ticked that my phone looked like it was worn as a shoe down a gravel road. I peeled the skin off and was taken back at the fact that there wasnt a single mark on it other then the corner where it landed. I immediately ordered a new skin from ArmorSuit telling them it saved my phone, they refunded the purchase I just made and sent me one for free telling me they were glad it worked and the lifetime warranty covered it. The only reason my tf700 doesnt have a full skin yet is because I use the rooCase snap on that is a little too tight. Full skins pay you back exponentially when the day comes to sell it and you peel it off to see nearly brand new device.
Does the skin cover the sharp edges of the tab next to the bezel ? I can't really find out from the pics I've seen.
I find the tab quite uncomfortable to hold for a long while because of those rather nasty edges...
Thanks.
My Skinomi Clear Skin arrived today but I'm not going to install it yet. I'm going to send my tablet for repair or swap for new unit because of bad quality on glass/screen installation on lower left corner...

It doesn't feel like it will peel but the edges are just a little rough. I don't find it to be a big deal and now that I've had it on for a day I've come to really, really like it. Feels solid and is very "grippy".

They do, link is in the review but here it is again: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ZPPDFG/
Right now you can only buy them separately. I have the TF201 dock, not sure if the TF700 will be any different size wise once it's released (doubt it).
I just ordered this based on your review, thanks, though shipping could take a while. How is the bundled screen protector? I had skinomi on my atrix, and was impressed, but that wasn't a high res screen, so any blur was unnoticeable. Is it a good clear cover, or does brightness and clarity take a hit? Thanks

wow these are beautiful skins...but god damn cant get them shipped to canada!!! grrrrrrrrrr we always have to be left out
I just ordered a tf201 skinomi dock skin in clear for my tf700 dock on ebay. Skinomi sells them on ebay $16. Anybody have a Zagg screen saver and a dock. How does the Zagg fit? Does it look like it will peel off the Zagg over time. I have the Zagg here waiting for my replacement to arrive and wondering if I should cut a section out where the dock's padding touches the screen. The last thing I want is for the cushions to peel off.
update
I installed the tf201 dock skinomi cover and it fit fine. Its a pain in the neck to get it right though. seems thinner then the Zagg.
I installed the brushed steel one today on my TF700 and it looks stunning (it even have textured feel to it). The installation was painless and took only few minutes. I have not yet installed it on the dock (dock is still sealed) but from the various cutouts, it look like it will be trickier to install than the tablet.
On the other hand, I did not like the screen protector that came with it. It was pain to align correctly and even after taking out all water from underneath, it still has a lot of water streaks. According to the instructions, they are supposed to go away after couple of days so I will wait and see. My recent experience with another wet application screen protector was ArmourSuit for Nexus 7 and it was a breeze to install and it was completely clear within few minutes.
Installed the dock screen yesterday and I still have micro bubbles. Not as much as I had yesterday but still have them non the less. No biggie. Its definitely attaches alot quicker than Zagg. I tell you what, I'm happy I don't have to do it again lol.

The dock is actually easier. The part I found hard was the small parts of the tablet skin on the side/top/bottom kept wanting to peel themselves back and it took a lot of holding it in place while drying. The dock I would only use a small amount of the fluid on the main piece and just stick on all the small pieces, it's easy and nothing wants to peel itself back.

I don't plan on using the screen protector, don't like the feel of it and I prefer anti-glare. I used a similar one on my Xoom and it took almost a week for the streaks to clear and even then it didn't look very good. I also read another review that said the screen protector will stick to the skin on the dock and cause bubbles to form. The anti-glare screen protector I use isn't sticky at all and I don't have this issue (Poetic anti-glare screen protectors - 3 pack, $14.95 on Amazon)
I was perusing the Rearth Case thread and from there came across the i-Blason TPU case. Like the Rearth, it's $10USD well in US, not sure if it's available internationally yet.
I have it on and sporting it right now. I do like it. It gives the phone better grip IMO. The only negative is that it's not clear. I mean you can still see the nexus name but not the sparklies lol. I have also posted a pic of a holster that I had back when the HTC Sensation first came out and I needed some sort of holster before Seidio came out with one. Don't mind the cords lol...

I respectfully disagree with your opinion. For my Sensation, I have both the cheap ebay ones that can be bought for around 2-4 dollars and I currently have the i-Blason. Yes they are similar, but the main difference for me when I got these for my Sensation was that the openings and buttons did not align 100%. With the i-Blason, on the Sensation anyway did. So that is why I was inquiring if anyone has tried these out yet.
But you may be right, you never know with new products, but I want to see the proof in the pudding.
I don't know about their quality yet, but I pre-ordered with them because they claimed to be shipping on the 13th. So I figured I'd pick it up just because it was the first case I saw available.
Well turns out it didn't ship until the 21st and that was the last day of their expected timeframe that it would be delivered. They did not expedite the shipping and would not get back to me about requesting a refund on the shipping.
At this point, even if it's a nice case I'm sending it back. I don't like doing business with companies that fail to communicate (and yes, at least with Google I had someone to call regardless of them knowing something, they still answered. They also honored Free shipping for failing to meet shipping timeframe).
Other than that, I ordered the black one and I'll update with the quality of it and pics with it on the device.

I also ordered this case in Frost Clear.
I was a little disheartened to look at the product photos today and see the true representation of the case on the phone.
When I ordered the case on the 19th, the images they showed on Amazon were obviously Photoshopped, but I had hoped they were a decent representation of the case, just not having an actual model phone to place them on for product photos.
The Frost Clear product on the 19th looked like this in their image : imgur.com/PrIEy.jpg
Now, looking at the new image they have, the thing is near white. : imgur.com/PrIEy.jpg
I should have mine in an hour or two, and can take photos and post if anyone is interested. I'll wait to get it in my hands to determine if I'm satisfied. I was looking for something a bit more subdued and dark, yet clear enough to see the rear design of the phone a bit. This new white frosted version is much the opposite of that.

Hmmm, for my sisters s3 she had also ordered 2 cases. One from I-Blason for 15$ and the same on from hong kong for 2.50$ and in the end I think even the Hong Kong was better but your opinion is your own and I will not change it Its just im in high school and I make sure to get the best deals because I cant just go buy the most expensive ones.
Received mine - Photos
Just got mine in the mail. Again, it's definitely not what I was expecting with the original product shots they used on the amazon page.
Here's the gallery : imgur.com/a/QcCKr
I got this as a stop-gap until the bumper or a nicer case was available, so I'm not cringing so much for the time being, but it definitely looks cheap and looks like a toy with this on.
I was hoping for a more tinted plastic with a dark tinted plastic for the back, as the original images would have you believe.
I can say, for the most part, the new photos are very representative of the final product.
Aside from the looks, it feels pretty secure. the case has a bit of give on the left and right sides of the phone, making it feel squishy. The back part that is frosted isn't very grippy, it's more of a paper-like feel, like they just sanded down the clear material. there's no logos to be seen on the case at all, which i'm actually quite happy about. I figured the i-blason logo was going to be on the back, as some of the images had shown. The clear portions aren't super grippy, but there's a bit more than the bare Nexus 4 had. The buttons are harder to press than they are bare.Kinda hard to get used to the pressure needed. It's not a ton, but more than I'm used to.
There's a notch at the top of the front, for the receiver, which was a nice touch, to keep it fully open. The ridge around the front of the phone covers the chrome completely and comes in on the curved glass almost all the way. the height from screen-plane to top of the ridge is probably no more than 1mm, if that. It's the same thickness as a credit card, if that gives anyone a good indicator.
Overall, I'm alright with the purchase. I wasn't expecting a top quality case, just something to make me feel a bit more secure with it until the right case arrives. I didn't like the common s-curve case, so I got this one. sorta wished I had gotten the dark grey s-curve instead, to have the darker look I wanted.
Hope this helps anyone else out there.

Just got mine, I ordered the black, but amazon sent me the Frost Clear along with the Black, so I got 2 cases for the price of one lol....I can tell you the black looks nice, much nicer then the clear I think, I had a clear one on my S3 and no matter what clear TPU starts to turn yellow over time. Will post some pics in a few of the black. The case looks alot like Diztronic it has a matte black finish on the back and gloss bezel, it covers the curved edge of the glass, which for me is a nice touch since most screen protectors that arent wet apply won't be covering that part of the phone...one thing is the bottom and top edge, since the bezel is covered up my screen protector i had to cut since it was pushing it up other than that great buy for 10 bucks..also the cutouts are perfectly aligned....no complaints fits securely in the case much like a Diztronic case.
And a few more pics
Well I got my covers and id post pictures but they'd just be redundant. Not much to see

Really havent tried the clear one but the black one is grippy enough where its not super slippery like the phone itself. the back feels the same as the matte finishes on my diztronic cases.
Just received my frost clear one in the mail. Honestly wasn't expecting too much out of it, so I'm pretty content with the product. Sorry I don't have another camera on me to take pictures of it with it on the phone, but the updated pictures on their Amazon page comes pretty close. It is clear around with the back having that "frost" look, so you can see the Nexus and LG logo pretty clearly. I would've liked it if the whole case all around was that translucent frost, but IMO it's not too bad. I also wish the cut outs were more precise, especially for the rear speaker. It's just this big cut out as if they just guesstimated it... this is one thing that looks better and more precisely done in the Amazon photos than IRL. But overall it's alright. Only using it so I don't have to be concerned with damaging my phone until I get a nicer case when they start coming out.

And this for the front:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-U12-Pl...-Schutzglas-Tempered-Schutzfolie/263708198830
It will be much relief to have these applied. Need to handle the phone with care till at least the front glass arrives...
I'm trying these out because they're the only non-glass, dry install protectors I could find.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C8HP8FM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So the front tgsp is here. I can't recommend it because it's not well sized on top and bottom. No Halo, because this u12 panel is less curved than u11 was, it's flat.
It's all transparent and fully glued. Application was easy cause it didn't fit an exact match on top.
Usual glass feeling to it.
I'll keep it because it's without Halo

How about Skinomi?
It's an off brand, but was the only one I found when I had a HTC 10. It was pretty great quality all body protection. Bestskinsever is normally my go to, but since they sometimes done have any skins Skinomi has been my second
All glass screen protector should work since the screen is flat. I ordered from Mr. Shield since I used for my Android Pad.

I found this screen protector on amazon:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07CRVB2VC...olid=2BBLC2HN0SPDW&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
It says: Especially for curved displays
What do u think of this screen protector?

I ordered different brand. Mr. Shield, the side is little smaller and for some reason the bottom don't stick. Not deal breaker, but nice to others.

This looks great! But it's pretty expensive with shippingcosts to the Netherlands.

Hi all,
If any of you would like to give our Ultra Clear screen protectors or full body skinz a try, we would be happy to send out a few review units since this device is new. Our Ultra Clear film is 100% designed and made in the USA, is self-healing, and comes with our Lifetime Warranty. We have a matte finish version available as well. You can see a sample video below of our Ultra Clear skin on the back of an iPhone 8 and an Apple Watch screen.
Qualifications for a free review unit:
1) Must live in the USA
2) Must have at least 100, but preferably 500+ post count to reward long-time, contributing members of the forum
We would make an exception to #1 above for @tbalden due to the insanely high post count and number of "thanks"
DM us if you are interested. Here are the available options for the U12+ https://phantomskinz.com/htc-u12-plus/. Ultra Clear is perfect for anyone with the Translucent Blue color which looks is pretty awesome phone in our opinion.

Also I already got mine slapped up with a cheapo from China, and don't want to risk another nervous break down while applying a new film or skin

Yes shipping a package internationally with tracking is quite expensive. It actually costs us even more than what we charge our customers because we choose to insure our international shipments. That being said, we do offer free international shipping on orders $69.95 and up. I know that is a lot, but if you put together an order with a few friends or family members, that would save you quite a bit on the shipping costs.
We used to send shipments as letters as some of our competitors do which is much cheaper, but that isn't really possible when including application gel and the percentage of lost shipments was MUCH higher in that scenario. We feel that it is more important that customers can track their orders and that a much closer to 100% of our orders are actually delivered.

Thanks for your reply. Okay, I've just placed an order for 3 HTC u12+ skins, because Dbrand doesn't make them haha. And because I got 10% off and get free shipping.
Hope to have them soon!

I wasn't able to send a PM for some reason but I would love to try the ultra clean full body since I'm using a fitbag for my only protection now. I can't find any cases I'm interested in yet. I will make sure to give a full review. Thank you for the offer.
When I had my U11 protected with full body protector it would no longer fit properly in my U11 leather fitbag, since the fitbag is made perfectly for a naked phone but the U12+ is a tad smaller than the U11. The U12+ fits nicely in my U11 fitbag but it doesn't fit as snug as a bare naked U11. A bare naked U11 fit perfectly in the fitbag and whenever you slide it out, it would clean both front and back of the phone making it look great.
My point is, I would bet the @PhantomSkinz Guru for the U12+ would combine very nice with the U11 leather fitbag. I bet it would snug it up just perfect like it does for my U11.

Shame I don't quite meet the criteria in the UK with only <400 posts.
I've tried this:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BXFR12Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D2BYYJN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Both are garbage because neither completely covers the screen (each side is slightly thinner than the width of the screen) and BOTH will not stick down on 2 or 3 of the edges.
I have this:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CKMBJ98/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CPQ3XJM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
coming tomorrow. I'm leery of Orzero due to the negative reviews of their product for another flat-screened, bezeless phone, the Essential PH-1 but I bought it because it specifically states that the entire protector has adhesive, not just the black edges. If neither of these work, I'm going Skinomi.

Yes the Ultra Clear skinz are about 8 mils (0.2mm) thick. So you can double that thickness to account for each side being covered. It will definitely make the fit a little more snug. However sliding it in and out of a tight fitting pouch many times a day may cause the skin to peel up? Suppose it depends how tight the fit bag is.
We'll PM you for your shipping details for the review kit

Yes thank you very much I'm really looking forward to applying these. I bet they will work great with my FitBag and if they do peel up it will probably get enough use before doing so and still be worth it to order new. We will see and I will post pics and thoughts. Thanks again!

Those were terrible, but these Supershieldz are great, especially if you prefer film over glass.

No problem We are going to send you a "glass only" back skin as well so you can choose which you like better. The glass only will certainly be easier to install and may be less prone to peeling in your situation.

Awesome thank you.
My HTC U11 Fitbag only fit properly bare naked. Once I put a screen protector and back protector on it, it was too tight. The U12+ fits nicely in my U11 Fitbag but it's not tight enough, I think applying these will make the U11 Fitbag fit the U12+ as if it was made for it.
If it doesn't work out I will stop using the FitBag. I just want a bare looking phone with these great protector's. I would hate to get a single scratch on this beauty

So here's the sad state of affairs for tempered glass screen protectors for the U12 Plus. Do you want to protect just the screen, or the entire phone?
Because you can't do both.
You can use a glass screen protector, but you'll have to either deal with the screen protector not actually covering your screen, or you can get a 'case friendly' full coverage screen protector that is, infact, not case friendly.
Or you can use a case and a plastic screen protector, as I am going to do. The fact of the matter is until a name brand company decides to make a glass screen protector that actually fits and adheres to the U12 Plus, none of these cheap chinese glass screen protectors are worth a dime of your money. It cost me $40+ to figure that out.
The Orzero screen protector completely covered the flat glass surface of the front of the phone, however you can't get rid of the airgaps where the black part gives way to the clear glass. Then, when you put the case on, it immediately lifts the screen protector.
The Katain had more rounded corners so I was hopeful, but again, immediate lift and I have a bubble at the edge of the clear and black that will not go away.
