anyone know the file that needs to be changed??
+1 I was wondering this too. would be nice to have the original HTC boot up
i got rid of mine by flashin a Stock rom
Ye you cant just change files for the bootl splash screen. The current HSPL doesnt support flashing of just boot screens. As is said, flash a stock rom and it will replace it with the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" boot splash then you can flash a ROM of your choice.
HSPL
I have an O2 Leo, I needed the upgrade because my SMS had stop working, I highly recommend using HSPL then putting the official 1.66 ROM upgrade on. It's a lot faster and will give you the default HTC boot image. If you do decide to upgrade make sure you back up everything first, using Microsoft MyPhone is a good way to do this.
i just flashed duttys 0.8 2.07 rom, the o2 boot logo is still there ?
You need to flash a stock HTC ROM not a cooked ROM..
yes, you have to flash an official rom...they will clean up your memory and install the original hd2 boot screen
I did change my wallpaper to a new one but I have flashed since then and cant find the instructions on what to rename the file to get it to show as a lock background?? ohand were to put it?
Anyone?

Phone: Telus HTC Desire
Well, I followed the guide for the HTC Desire on the Cyanogen Mod website but I did not get all the way through, I have installed ClockworkMod Recovery in ROM Manager, but when I try to go into ClockworkMod Recovery to flash radio, my Desire restarts and shows a black screen with nothing on it, the phone is rooted though.
Any help ?
Sounds like you put the wrong recovery image on your phone. What image did you use? there are two that work good for Telus Desires. One is a custom 2.5.0.1 image and the other is 2.5.0.7. Look here for working images:

Can I recommend that you do not use ROM Manager for your Desire. RM work awesome for other devices but it is hit and miss with the Desire. I always reboot into recovery and flash manually.
When i try and flash a new rom on my incredible it just goes to the htc stock ui. I rooted the phone with unrevoked and the clockworkmod is orange instead of green. Can anyone tell me how i may be able to change that?
I've root my Sensation XE recently and using cwm recovery mod...
And it was a sucess
after that... I downloaded the pg581mg and trying to update/change my firmware to 4ext recovery mod cuz I'm trying to install the insertcoin 4.4.2 Ics 4.0.3 and htc sense 3.6 zip
After i update my cwm recovery mod to 4ext recovery mod, i reboot my phone and the 'htc quietly brilliant' word and the beats icon appear... but after the beats icon appear, the phone blackout and it repeats again and again and again, the homescreen didn't even come out
I reset the system and data but it still wont work... my friend says if cannot fix, maybe need to change the cpu or something like that...
Is it bootloop or got virus? Is there any solution to solve this case? I just bought my phone for a month only... So...
You got yourself a bootloop due to a failed flash. Congrats! Lol
You just need to SBF back to stock and try again. Not a big deal. Just find your stock firmware and use the method that works for you or your computers OS.
Lol haha
Thanks buddy
By the way... wads SBF?
In a nutshell it's when you flash back to your original stock firmware. The way the phone was out of the box with stock everything. There are different methods to do this depending on if you use Windows, Linux or OSX. You need to find your original firmware, download it and then flash it.
Where can i download my original firmware?
trying to search at net but can't seem to find any..
you dont even need to do all that just reflash cm7 or 9 and you be just fine
Can i just flash the ruu file?
And where to download the original firmware??
Can't to find any...
Well i am new to htc and just moved from samsung which has a very different boot loader. I rooted my htc sensation, super cid it and s-off. However when i flashed a custom rom insert coin. I did not make any backup or any nandroid backup (really stupid of me) since samsung has the download mode to go back to stock recovery easily. The thing i am facing is i can go to boot loader it displays s-off hboot and radio. However when i put the PG58IMG.exe it updates the recovery but when i take it off my sd card it shows image not found. I have team win recovery at the moment and i can boot into that as well. I have tried to flash the rom over and over again. This whole problem occured when i flashed the firmware update for insert coin. It runs into boot loop. Is there any way i can recover the stock version.
Thanks in advance i am really a noob for htc. And can you please provide me with the exact files please i have looked into htc sensation thread for 2 hours almost flashed everything but doesnt work for me. And i am using my laptop for the transfer of files since i cannot put any files while the phone plugged in.
hey, mate, i feel for you..
try to reinstall 4ext recovery, then re-flash the rom u are trying
Hey thanks for the reply bro...just a quick question but how can i install the 4ext recovery cuz i can stary the cell phone. Can i flash the 4ext in win team recovery? Can you please elaborate on that
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

I have a AT&T HTC One M7 that is unlocked, rooted with S-Off. Every Rom I have tried installs but when rebooting always stops at the HTC white screen or animation at startup for that rom. I have searched and tried everything but nothing works. Most roms need to have a kernel flashed but the Android Revolution HD has this in the roms zip file and even tried to extract it and then flash it in fastboot. Any ideas anybody? If I left anything out let me know and I will post it. Thanks for any help out there.
