[Q] Help!! Boot Screen Only After Flashing Any Rom On HTC One M7 - General Questions and Answers

I have a AT&T HTC One M7 that is unlocked, rooted with S-Off. Every Rom I have tried installs but when rebooting always stops at the HTC white screen or animation at startup for that rom. I have searched and tried everything but nothing works. Most roms need to have a kernel flashed but the Android Revolution HD has this in the roms zip file and even tried to extract it and then flash it in fastboot. Any ideas anybody? If I left anything out let me know and I will post it. Thanks for any help out there.

MY Stuck Rezound after NeWts install...HELP

I bought a rooted rezound from a guy which had the ICS clean rom root. I wanted to resore it back to factory specs but then seen the NeWts-One-XXX which had the sense 4.0 with along with ICS 4.0.3. I installed the .zip file which it said was installed complete but now my phone wont boot past the htc ONE main logo. Can someone please help me.
Boot into recovery and reflash the Kernel. It is possible you flashed only the rom but not the new kernel that goes along with it.

SD Card won't mount...Soft Brick?

forgive me if I posted in the wrong place, i'm new to these forums and to custom ROM's.
My friend rooted my HTC S One and installed the latest version of LeeDroid. Since there was no recent updates I wanted to change. I tried to install Dark Jell S Edition but phone wouldn't progress past HTC boot up logo, I reinstalled LeeDroid with no problems. I then followed the instructions to install Paranoid Android but the phone froze again on start up. The problem is I'm getting the "E: Can't mount /sdcard/ problem in CWM recovery v5.8.3.1.
Any advice to a noob?

Anyone else notice that whenever someone has this problem they are always using CWM?
And you are in the wrong forum, if you looked in Q&A the solution you are looking for is stickied.
I had same problem. I just flashed stock recovery and relocked bootloader, and run the HTC ruu program. It helped me.

I got it sorted by installing TWRP via HTC All-In-One kit and re-mounting SD card. However when trying to install LeeDroid the touchscreen was irresponsive. I tried Jell S One and this worked fine however I'm not a big fan of this ROM!

[Q] Flashing KingBeats Rom

Flashed the
[ROM][CM] KingBeatZ v1.3.1 + 4.2 Nightlies
and it has been sitting at the splash screen for a long while, in excess of 30 min. Ususally the first boot takes a while, but I think this is beyond what it should be.
I flashed ViperXL and it went off without a hitch, but I also used FlashBoot to boot the rom and the image separatly, this is the first one I am trying to do by installing the ZIP file from TWRP recovery. If that is an issue, please let me know.
1. Wipe Cache/Davik
2. NanDroid Backup of working ROM
3. Install Zip file using TWRP
4. Wipe Cache/Davik again
5. Reboot
6. Pray that is gets past the Splash screen with the pacman toons.
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Are you s-on or off? You probably just need to flash the boot.img of kingbeatz to make it boot up

S-Off, and flashing the boot.img worked, however the screen is unresponsive.

What is the difference between One X Dev and One X Orriginal Dev?

You need to downgrade your touchscreen firmware for the touchscreen to work as that's an AOSP ROM.
One X Dev has sense ROMS and Original One X Dev has AOSP Roms. There is some mixture but that's generally how it's set up.

[Q] Desire S Boot Failure/2.00.0002/S-ON/ Recovery BootLoop

So, I recently got an HTC Desire S with H-Boot version 2.00.0002 and thus I could not use Revolutionary Tool to root it. The alternative to HTCDev unlock would be to use RUUs to downgrade the H-Boot but I could not figure out which RUU to select in the list at shipped-roms. Thus I HTC Dev unlocked it thinking that the only problem would be having to flash the boot.img of the rom I install separately.
But when I flashed Cyanogen Mod 10 and flashed the file, the rom worked. I had to restart it but i found that no matter what rom i install, the phone always boots to the recovery! I tried it with multiple roms includind the Xperia rom, and roms based on CM. Then I tried the Virtuous rom with the same result. Then I tried the Saga3d rom and it rebooted sucessfully!!!
Thinking the problem was solved, I flashed the CM 10 JB rom I wanted again but it once again booted to recovery when I rebooted it. Seems like the only way I can make them reeboot is to flash the boot.img file again and again! A thread suggested flashing 4ext recovery but the same thing happened. I even tried to reflash the Saga3d rom but it didn't reboot this time!!!
So after careful but failed research, i created this question. Can anyone help me? I think a new RUU with an earlier (0.9*) H-Boot would help but I don't know how to pick one!!! I'll post some pics and hope anyone will suggest me an RUU or other solution.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.
(P.S I'm using a custom rom right now (reaper) cuz I don't know how to find the stock)
Anyone?

Hi,
Thanks for the response but the problem is I don't know which one of these RUUs to select. I can't seem to find where to look for what are their supported cidnums, or build number, or software number. Thats why I hoped a pro would help me select one. My cidnum is HTC_001.
Thanks again. :good:

Cyanogenmod 9 Bootloop - How to get out?

Hello Community,
last weekend I tried to install Cyanogenmod 9.1 on a HTC Sensation XE and I think I caused something like a soft-brick. Everytime I want to boot, Cyanogenmod gets stuck in the Boot animation. Unfortunately I installed the ROM without doing the S-Off. Maybe that's the reason for it. All tutorials I found for doing this need a running operating system, but I don't have one because cyanogenmod is stuck in the Boot animation. On top of that, I'm not entirely sure the root was succesfull. I installed Super User, but how can I check, whether the root was succesfull?
However, I don't know what to do next. I think I have to install any stock rom, which runs on the HTC Sensation XE and doesn't need the S-Off. Please give me some advice.
The device is unlocked and the CWM recovery version is 5.0.2.0

you need to flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command
the command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
or you can change your recovery to 4ext
it has a feature which is called smartflash
enable smartflash exactly before flashing the rom
